  1. Put me in the near love category for Raptor, it's my 4th favorite in the park behind the big 3 Intamins and my 3rd favorite invert out of 7 I've ridden.
  2. Signed. I will definitely travel to ride these rides if they get built. They need to be built!
  3. Someone tweeted Tony Clark (CP's Director of Communications) and he said information will be released sometime in December.
  4. Storm Chaser looks awesome! It just keeps looking better as construction continues!
  5. That makes sense, I thought ROS was rattling quite a bit during my visit in 2014. I'll be a happy camper when ROS runs 2 trains again.
  6. I agree about 1 train on ROS. I visited Darien Lake once last year knowing about 1 train only ops, but the only ride it really bothered me on was ROS. With the crowd levels that day Mind Eraser & Viper weren't even sending out full trains but ROS had a healthy line. If they just ran 2 trains on that I'd be happy. Also yes, The Millennium Force trains & ROS trains are the same the only 2 differences are the t-bars have be modified on ROS after the accident, and what were originally all metal panels were replaced with fiberglass panels on the Millennium Force trains. So in simple terms they're exactly the same. I don't know why they want to purchase a new train, like you said the Millennium Force trains have logged way more hours and nobody is even thinking of replacing them. Here's 2 picture I found on google of the difference between t-bars. How Intamin T-Bars normally look. Modified Darien Lake T-Bars
  7. 3 way tie, Maverick's twisted horseshoe roll, B&M flyers's pretzel loop, and RMC's zero g stall.
  8. This news is very exciting, when they announced the comprehensive restoration this is exactly what I wanted to hear. Don't know when I make it out Knott's but I'm looking forward to the day to ride Ghostrider.
  9. Absolutely: Cedar Point Kings Island Holiday World Kentucky Kingdom Dollywood Carowinds Kings Dominion Disney World (All 4) Waldameer Possibly: Six Flags Great Adventure Six Flags New England Lake Compounce Hershey Park Knobels Busch Gardens Tampa Universal Orlando
  10. I read them every week, it's a good way to catch a threads I may have missed throughout the week.
  11. Storm Chaser is shaping up to be one great ride!
  12. This little coaster looks great, whenever the day comes that I'm in Texas I will make sure to ride this!
  13. It's very sad to hear about Kevin from Theme Park Maniacs. I got the pleasure of meeting him this year during his 6 days spent at Cedar Point. He was a very nice guy, and one of the days he visited was my off day and I ended up hanging out in the park with him and his wife and it was an absolute blast spending the day with them. You could talk to him about any roller coaster in the country and he knew which one you were talking about. It's so sad to hear about his passing at such a young age. R.I.P. Kevin.
  14. I'm so excited to see both these rides getting re-painted! Raptor really needed it. Here's the link to the blog post. https://www.cedarpoint.com/blog-article/online-fun/More-2016-Improvements
  15. Tony Clark is at it again, only this time he said one of the things on the list is actually happening. So this means Raptor is getting repainted!
  16. This keeps looking better and better after each update. This is one of the coasters that when the day comes that I fly overseas I will be going to ride this!
  17. This is very interesting seeing what they are going to do. When the trains were in the scrap pile I wasn't surprised, I heard rumors of new trains. Now seeing track in the scrap pile I'm very interested in how extensive of a refurbishment this is.
  18. That Intamin hyper looks amazing! That first drop into that small first overbank look amazing!
  19. This is an excellent point, I may have made it seem like Millennium was just handed to me. I have 5 years working guest service jobs before I decided to apply to CP, so I'm sure that helped.
  20. The dorms are ok, they're not AS bad as someone said a few days ago in this thread but they are relatively small dorms. The best thing they're CHEAP, less than half he price of my rent back in Cleveland. All I really do is sleep in the dorm, plus being so close to the park I plan to live in the dorms again next year.
  21. It's way simpler than that at Cedar Point my ride placement after I was hired went something like this. Manager: Would you like to work with more children or adults? Me: Adults Manager: Are you afraid of heights, if need be could you climb steps on on lift hill Me: I'm not afraid of heights, I'd have no problem waking up a lift. Manager: Would you like to work on a slow paced, medium paced, or fast pased ride? Me: Fast Paced! Manager: Ok, I'm placing you on Millennium Force, does that sound good! Me: YES! YES! YES! Yessssssssssssss! Ahem, yes that works for me.
  22. Actually you can get hired onto the big rides from the get go. I've had a ton of previous work experience but this is my first year in any amusement park and I got hired straight in to work Millennium Force from the start. From what I understand there's always a certain amount of spots on every ride held for first years. So it doesn't matter who you are, your first year you have an equal chance to work any ride in the park.
  23. Thank you! I love working for Cedar Point, I'm happy to see it shows.
