Looks just like Tahoe just with less fire.

Kids playing on a train track.
SLUSHIE replied to Wishmaster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I see this only working with bullet trains. No trains in the US go fast enough to make it through a loop, which means if kids attempt this in the states it could spell disaster. -
I don't really like the whole Thomas thing. Nice to see they put a ride where starfish used to be, to bad its just a Dumbo thing like the whales they already have by Roar. I have to say those stations look pretty nice though. Would also be nice if the other train in the round house were usable... and the round house worked. I can't believe what is happening to my home park... it's noteworthy.

Or Junior High... either way. Whats the deal with the similar containers. You would think this would have happened already. -
I thought it started by putting your index finger to your head and going "hmmmmmmm."

I wasn't going to post in this anymore, but thanks for pointing out what I meant. That price tag includes two brand new rides (The Harry Potter and Simpson's rides) that probably aren't going to be all that cheep. I've heard that Spiderman was $100-$200 million by itself. I'm not saying the rides are going to be that expensive... or even that amazing, but yeah they won't be cheep. And I would think building the castle would take up a large portion of the money as well.

Opposite of that.

This whole thing is supposed to be pretty low budget... which is why they are pretty much re theming existing buildings. Destroying and rebuilding things that are essential for park operation pretty much go against that I think. As for the the concept art not accurately describing whats going to be built is true, concept are never really is accurate but I think the general area that others have already described is a bit more accurate than what you have described. When the article did mention a parking lot I think they were referring to that little part of landscaping parking lot, not anything beyond that.
-
I don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but there is no train going across to the parking lot. In fact nothing is going to be in that parking lot... except for cars. As mentioned Flying Unicorn and Dulling Dragons are going to be re themed, and the Sinbad show building is going to be gutted and thats where the Weasley family's Ford Anglia ride is going. There is going to be a train, but its only going to be a set piece. You can see it in the concept art just under the owls right wing.

When I first looked at the photo and read the caption I thought Superman was the rollercoaster. -
I just got back from Hawaii on Sunday. I only spent 3 nights an Oahu though. I can't really recommend you much, as it seems that you don't want to spend any time at the beach. Make sure you eat at Cheese Burger in Paradise though.

Photoshop is your friend. I'm sure I could emulate this look with photoshop fairly easily. -
Unless you plan on watching a bunch of movies that you either are playing on your HD-DVD drive or downloaded from Live, there is absolutely no reason for this. Most games on the Xbox 360 are designed in 720p. Even if you have you Xbox to display 1080p, its still only going to be 720p, or possibly 1080i if designed to do that, because thats just he way the game is. The Xbox 360 doesn't have the power to render games at 1080p without a large loss in geometry in the games. As for the HDD, its for downloading music, movies and watching IPTV. If you already have an Xbox 360 and a Tivo, just forget about it.

Not to many changes except for the massive new signs. I think they look awesome, but probably could have left off "Entry to" on all of them. I still don't get how they sectioned the park of, considerings there is sky, land, and sea stuff all over the park. Like right next to V2 and Roar is a whale ride, and thats the Sky section of the park? Granted the Whales do kinda fly on that ride.

That place looks pretty decent for a small resort. You call that an expert run? I went to Sugar Bowl in Tahoe last week, and these are expert runs. That ridge is called the Palisades. I live in the foothills in California. Snowboarding is one of my favorite things to do, but this year sucked. I've only been 4 times. It snowed 3 feet last week, and this week its 60deg. I wish the weather would make up its mind, and stay on the colder side.

I don't get what the big deal is. The PS2 had PS1 hardware in it in the beginning, but was removed after they figured out how to emulate it. Obviously the same thing is happening with the PS3. I don't give a crap for backwards compatibility. Everyone and their mother already has a PS2 so why not just use that.
