  1. This is a Wild Thing T-shirt I got at VF in 2013. I know it's not very colorful, and the track style isn't accurate, but it was on sale for $5, and I like the ride, so I bought it.
  2. I think Valleyfair does an average job in the theming department, at least by Cedar Fair standards. The park entrance, Route 76, Planet Snoopy, and the Western-style buildings near Renegade are all decent themed area. Nothing about the theming really stands out, but it does help Valleyfair keep the charm it has. Even though theming isn't what brings me to parks, it's usually a nice addition. As for future theming, whenever we get a new coaster, it would be neat if it had some themed surroundings (in a similar manner to Banshee at Kings Island). I agree with the suggestions in the past that a Minnesota winter related name like Blizzard would be a good idea. Maybe they should make a flooding-themed coaster since that happens to VF all the the time . Just kidding, but as long as it's a great ride, I don't really care what it's themed to, or if it has any theming at all.
  3. El Loco - Adventuredome
  4. Even though I'll probably see a few more movies before the end of the year, here is my Top 10 Movies of 2014 list. (Warning: There may be a few controversial choices, and I did not see every major movie that came out.) 1)Guardians of the Galaxy 2)Interstellar 3)Captain America: The Winter Soldier 4)Mockingjay: Part 1 5)The Maze Runner 6)Divergent 7)The Amazing Spider-Man 2 8)Maleficent 9)Noah 10)X-Men: Days of Future Past
  5. I didn't start putting my hands up routinely until earlier this year, but I'm glad I've started doing it. Putting my hands up when possible helps me get more out of the ride. Letting go of the restraints makes me feel more out of control, which is an element that I really like in a coaster. If it's an airtime-oriented ride, hands up will usually help me get better/more airtime . I keep my hands down if the ride is rough, not particularly thrilling, or if the restraints wont allow putting hands up.
  6. ...when you hear the word "credit" used in any way, it makes you think of its coaster meaning. ...the ride ops on a certain ride know your name since you ride it so much.
  7. I have no idea what it is. Maybe some hypercoaster?
  8. I think it's an interesting color scheme too. The orange supports are a bit out of the ordinary, but I actually like unusual color schemes for the most part. I don't understand why they haven't announced it yet. We all know it is coming, so they have nothing to hide by procrastinating on this announcement .
  9. I was just watching a coaster/park TV show called "All-American Amusement Parks", and this woman and the host on the show said that Twisted Typhoon at Wild Adventures (A standard Vekoma SLC) has seven inversions. sigh...
  10. Just saw Mockingjay: Part 1, and it was a lot better than I thought it would be. I have not read the books, so I didn't know what to expect with the storyline, but it was interesting and kept me into it. The acting was good, with some great performances from the main characters. Not as much violence and not many explosions, but still visually pleasing. Check it out if you have a chance. Looking forward to seeing Part 2 in a year.
  11. The Panic Falls Speed Slides at Valleyfair's Soak City. The drop is actually decently thrilling, but the headbanging on the landing is absolutely horrible . Good thing I don't have to ride them ever again, especially with the new taller speed slides coming in 2015. Ouch.
  12. Yep, it looks like that is probably what you'd be riding on while on this slide. It looks a bit gimmicky, but nonetheless lots of fun for sure, especially with that vertical drop, and I'd certainly ride one if there was one near me. Once the big news networks get ahold of this, I can't wait to see how the GP reacts .
  13. Both have Schwarzkopf loopers. Six Flags Fiesta Texas and Canada's Wonderland.
  14. Even though it has been said that they might turn the CGA and Carowinds Vortexes into floorless coasters, I think they'd be better off just scrapping them and getting a new coaster in those spots because the layouts don't look very exciting and it probably wouldn't be much of an upgrade. If they do go ahead and give it the standup-to-floorless conversion, they might as well have B&M come back and extend/change the layout to make it longer/more exciting, or maybe add a little extra height to the lift hill and drop. I just think that if they are going to convert Vortex, they might as well do more to it than just give it new trains and repaint it. Just my two cents.
  15. The Summer of 2013. When was the last time you went to a movie theater?
  16. Never, fortunately. When was the last time you rode a Morgan hyper?
  17. Sorry about the double post, but they are now digging up the land where the new splash pad will be built (obviously because of the new big dirt piles there).
  18. Just wondering, do the rest of you think they will continue to use the Goliath boarding passes in 2015? Since it's inaugural season is over, it might not be as busy next year, but then again, I visited the park on a Monday and there was a 3-hour wait time . I think it was a good way to curb line jumping, but at the same time, it could have ruined some innocent guest's day if there happened to be an accidental line/ticket mixup.
  19. This morning. When was the last time you ride a GCI?
  20. Shakespeare
  21. Not sure what you mean by "premium sunbathing grass patch". Are you talking about this area...
  22. Tornado - Adventureland
  23. TV show
  24. Kings Island
  25. Renegade - Valleyfair
