  1. I realized that too, but there were a few parks that had only one coaster featured: Lihpau Land, Blackpool Pleasure Beach, and Worlds of Fun. I personally think they should have shown Prowler at WOF instead of Coaster Express.
  2. Well, now that this season is over, I can safely say that I'm not a fan of this show anymore. Some of the coasters that were featured didn't deserve to be in my opinion (Ednor L'Attaque, Coaster Express, etc.) Ednor L'Attaque scoring higher than a few B&Ms is messed up. Even if they are "forceless" B&Ms, I can't see why the GP would prefer roughness over smoothness. Same thing goes for Steel Dragon 2000. Also, you can clearly tell than not everyone that was interviewed was a "Coaster Enthusiast". I don't think that there should be a Season 4 because they are running out of good coasters that would deserve to be on this show. Sure, they could show some of the new 2014 coasters like Banshee, Goliath, Helix, and Steel Medusa, but besides that, I don't know what else they would show. Thorpe Park and Alton Towers have some great coasters, but I heard that they probably chose not to be featured on ICW. End rant.
  3. I'm going to add two more cities to my list: -Honolulu/Hawaii: Considering that Hawaii is a tourist trap, I'm very surprised that there isn't at least a small amusement park anywhere in Hawaii. Maybe there's just a lack of interest, or there might not be any good land for building one, but they definitely have the population and tourism needed. -Indianapolis: Even though Indiana Beach, Kings Island, and Holiday World are all within a few hours of the city, it is large enough that they should at least have something in town.
  4. The Dark Knight Coaster. It's hyped up so much that it sounds like the greatest ride in existence, but it's simply just a Wild Mouse in the dark.
  5. Where did you hear that Corkscrew is getting removed for a new coaster? I doubt that it's going anywhere for several reasons, mainly because is was repainted a few years ago. If a new coaster is going to replace an old one, it will most likely be Excalibur due to lack of popularity. As for a Raptor clone, I'd be happy if we got one, but garyman6 has reported that Dave Frazier (VF's GM) is trying to make sure that VF's next coaster is something unique. As for the removal of Subway and the old dining patio, if that's true, that's great because it is more room to play with for the SC expansion.
  6. Granted, but you end up breaking it the first time you use it. I wish that Dinosaurs Alive was removed from all of the CF parks it is in.
  7. Everyone has there opinion. To me Wild Thing is a very average coaster with a very similar layout to Magnum. Its first drop hill has a little more air time than Magnum but after that Magnum is better coaster. The turn around is tighter and faster than Wild Thing and it also does not have nearly the trim on the back side which gives Magnum more air time on the bunny hills on the way back compared to WT. Plus WT is only 2 miles an hour faster and just because it is longer with it's mammoth break run at the end does not make it better. Magnum is also 7 years older than WT and still slightly better in m y opinion. Both are very average coasters now due to their age and what else is available today. I personally like Wild Thing more than most enthusiasts seem to. The first airtime hill has good sustained floater air, and it has some decent positive G's in several spots. However, I do agree that the MCBR trims take away a lot of the second half's potential, and a few parts of the figure-8 could be considered "snooze zones", but all in all, I'd rather have Wild Thing than not have a hypercoaster. Technically, Valleyfair already has a launched inverted coaster in Steel Venom, so if they ever got a launched B&M, I don't think it would be a launched invert. A B&M invert with a regular chain lift would be just fine.

  9. Thunderbird looks like an awesome coaster, and I think it could definitely become the best wing coaster out there. I enjoyed X-Flight, so I'd probably enjoy this one too. Also nice to see that B&M is making it's first true launched coaster. Now that we know they are willing to make launched coasters, we could be looking foward to a lot of great creations from them in the next few years. I'm surprised that Thunderbird ended up being the name after the "66 Days at Sea" campaign, but it's still a good name. I'm a bit annoyed at the people that are already saying "It's going to be another forceless B&M." That's what everyone said about Banshee, but everyone that has ridden it seems to like it. Besides, with the launch section and the shorter trains, that might allow for better forces than those on the other wing coasters. Also, wing coasters are still a relatively new type of coaster, so B&M probably may not have worked out all of the kinks in them yet. Who knows, one of these days, wing coasters could be much more amazing rides.

  11. ^ VFVSGirl16, you're right. Sorry, I can be a gullible person at times . I guess this means the amphitheater is still SBNO.
  12. Sorry about the double post, but VFZ tweeted this picture. The amphitheater is being used for something. That's... strange.
  13. Good to see that this is probably the location of the new Haunt structure because it means that the park is willing to use the land behind High Roller for expansions. As you can see in the photo below, they have a good amount of room to play with back there. I also heard some talk a while back about moving the maintenance building to a different location, so that could open up even more room. If you ask me, there's probably enough room back there to fit a decent size B&M.
  14. If it ends up being a flying coaster or a wing coaster like some have suggested, then Thunderbird would be a great name for this coaster.
  15. ^ Haven't been on any of those coasters, but I hear lots of great things about Afterburn. If you're suggesting that one of them would be relocated to VF, it would be great, but it probably won't happen.
  16. Parts of Valleyfair have a height restriction according to an interview I read on Valleyfairzone a while back, so 275 isn't necessarily the limit. As much as I would love a giga coaster, I don't think it will happen at Valleyfair anytime soon because Cedar Fair would probably bring giga coasters to larger parks like Kings Island, Knott's, or maybe even Dorney before they build one at the smaller parks. Even though Valleyfair is slated for significant growth, hoping for a giga coaster might be setting yourself up for disappointment if you ask me.
  17. Dear Wonderful Title Fairy, May I please have a title pertaining to Valleyfair (specifically the awful amount of trim brakes there)? Sincerely, VF15
  18. Going to Six Flags Great America in a few weeks. Really looking forward to riding my first RMC: Goliath.
