Game: Careful What You Wish For

Granted, but those barrel rolls and airtime hills are so repetitive that the ride becomes boring. I wish that the Random forum was as active as the main forum. -
Valleyfair (VF) Discussion Thread

^ Corkscrew can be a relatively popular ride at times. Not necessarily on the level of Renegade, WT, or SV, but I've seen it have a full queue on some days. But you are right that it probably will be gone within the next 20 years. I really like Corkscrew, but it's unfortunately not going last until the end of the century. -
^ Yeah, Renegade's curvy drop is really cool, especially if you stil in the back. My all-time favorite drop is on Goliath at SFGAm. That drop is hard to describe with words. It's simply amazing!

Was just on the City of Shakopee's website, and based on a part this article below, it looks like it's pretty much official that Valleyfair will be getting a new electronic entrance sign for 2015. Overall, I am happy that we are getting one because most other CF parks already have an electronic sign, so this will help VF get on track with the other CF parks in this department. Also, this is more money that Cedar Fair is injecting into Valleyfair, so this could be considered an extra addition if you thought the Soak City expansion was too small. However, the sign is pretty iconic, so I hope it can be saved/preserved in some way. I will miss seeing it when I go to the park. So long, old Valleyfair sign... -
Wow. If he had 20,000 laps on Xcelerator back in early 2007, he's got to have at least 40,000 laps by now, maybe 50,000. I can understand marathoning a ride a bunch of times if you really like it, but seriously, as much as he does? Does he ever take a break to go on some of the other coasters in the park, even occasionally? If not, then that's just sad. I'm also not a fan of him circumventing park rules. He should just wait in line like everyone else.

Both have B&M sitdown coasters. Adventureland (Iowa) and Knott's Berry Farm?

So true. I really don't see the need to complain over Rougarou because it looks like it will be a great ride! -

Was doing some more personal speculating, and I think that The Wave should probably get the boot one of these days. Even though the ride does it's job pretty well (cooling you off on a hot summer day), it is really not that popular. The longest line I've ever seen it have is about five minutes, and considering that it is one of the closest rides to the entrance, I think it shows that most guests aren't interested in it. There are normally more people watching it than riding it. Even though it's mostly kids that ride it, it should still get removed. It is one of the rides on the Fast Lane pass, but it really doesn't need to be. The land that The Wave sits on could very well be used for a new flat ride like a Zamperla Air Race. Also, I have a feeling that Corkscrew will bite the dust in about 10 years or so, and if they remove The Wave along with it, that could open up room for a good-sized new coaster because by that time, I think VF will be due for another new coaster (hopefully an RMC, but that's just a pipe dream for now). Although, if The Wave does go, I would miss the iconic wave that it makes. -
For steel coasters, B&M. Even though most of their more recent coasters aren't as great as their 90's creations, B&M still undoubtedly creates very fun, thrilling rides, and I've yet ride a B&M I don't like. For wooden coasters, RMC. RMC is really pushing wooden coasters to the max. They continue to innovate and wow me, and while I've only ridden one, I'm sure the rest are still amazing.

Arrows, Arrows, Arrows.....

^ I agree. As much as many enthusiasts bash Ron Toomer's old coat hangers, without them we would not have the great manufacturers of today like B&M, Intamin, and RMC. My favorite Arrow is VF's Corkscrew because it's pretty smooth and it's fun for what it is. Although, this could change next year once I ride Magnum XL-200. -

Granted, but it is down 90% of the time. I wish I could get around to more amusement parks. -
Both of them are near Chicago. California's Great America and Michigan's Adventure?

The Maze Runner was surprisingly good. I liked it because it wasn't your stereotypical young adult dystopian movie. Good acting, plenty of action, and some interesting plot twists. It was a lot better than Divergent in my opinion.

Granted, they make up a bunch of false, GP-ish facts about the transformation instead. I wish Minnesota had more amusement parks. -
