They both have Arrow suspended coasters. Worlds of Fun and Dollywood?

They both have launched Premier Rides coasters. Six Flags New England and Carowinds?

Never. When was the last time you visited a Six Flags park?

I think that they should RMC one side of American Eagle. I know that this idea has been thrown out there before, but I think it would be a good move. One side with RMC awesomeness, and the other with the traditional AE experience. Although, I wouldn't mind it if the RMC'd both sides and made it like Twisted Colossus where you basically get two rides. Plus, having two RMCs in one park would really make Six Flags Great America a coaster enthusiast heaven.

Valleyfair (VF) Discussion Thread

I'm considering going to Haunt for the first time on Saturday night. How bad will lines be for the Haunt mazes and the coasters? -

Sorry about resurrecting such an old thread, but I wanted to share my opinion here. If a coaster has just a lap bar and it isn't too rough, I'll definitely put my hands up and enjoy the ride. If the coaster is too rough, I'll keep my hands down, but I won't be white-knuckling the lap bar. If a coaster has OTSRs, it depends on which type it is. Usually I can put my hands up on most B&Ms and Intamins with OTSRs, but Arrow looper restraints don't allow me to put my hands up because they're too small. Once again, it also depends on whether or not it's a rough ride.

Granted, but they remove Shivering Timbers to make way for it. I wish that Intamins had the reliability of B&Ms. -

Granted, enthusiasts start unnecessarily bashing all other coaster companies. I wish Valleyfair would get a coaster from RMC. -
Driving 5 hours to a park and finding out that every ride is closed. What's worse than a roller coaster themed to Miley Cyrus?

Granted, they build a copy of Gilroy Gardens in Minnesota. I wish that I could go to Kings Island. -
Rides mistaken as Roller Coasters
VF15 replied to Sharman19's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I believe the main reason that they're labeling them as coasters is because it helps them in advertising the ride. Us enthusiasts know that they aren't coasters, but the GP is a bit more gullible, so they're more likely to believe it. I'm not a huge fan of parks doing this, but it works for them, so I guess it isn't that bad. Valleyfair and Cedar Point both labeled their new Zamperla Disk'O coasters as new coasters, and everyone seems to be going along with it. Conversely, I've also heard a lot of people say that shuttle coasters like boomerangs, half-pipes, and impulses aren't coasters simply because they don't complete a full circuits, but since this is the GP that we're talking about, that doesn't really surprise me. -

It's amazing how awful that one particular trim is. Really, it's the only one I absolutely despise myself. I dislike most of the others but the thought of Sleeping Bull leaves a sour taste in my mouth because I only think about that brake. I personally think that the mid-course brake run neuters Raging Bull more than the trim on the first airtime hill. Even though that trim was definitely noticeable, I still got some pretty good airtime. You still get some good floater air after the MCBR too, but if they would lighten up on it even a little bit, that could really improve the second half of the ride.

You can find plenty of trims at my home park, which is Valleyfair. High Roller, Mad Mouse, Excalibur, and Wild Thing all have trims brakes turned on to very high levels. I believe that the reason VF does this is just to be cheap and save a few bucks, and that's the type of trimming that annoys me. If the trim brakes were there when the ride was built and they're mean't to make the ride safer, I'm perfectly okay with that because I'd like to return to the station unharmed, but if they're just trimming to save money, that annoys me. Although, I do appreciate the trims on Excalibur because that ride can be rough, and the trims help to make the ride a little less rough.
