  1. A lot of the deals are online already. I picked up some stuff from CircuitCity.com and Bestbuy.com that I wanted so I don't have to go to those stores tomorrow.
  2. For all Nintendo DS owners, Ridge Racer DS, $4.98 with free shipping at CompUSA.com http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?product_code=317868
  3. I hope it doesn't end up at Dorney. It looks like the ride takes up a ton of room and that seems like something Dorney doesn't have so it would probably end up replacing something.
  4. Magic Kindgom, not only is it my favorite park in FL, it's my favorite park out of every park I have been to.
  5. Yeah, it's mostly kiddie rides and family rides open with a few adult flats open. The lack of coasters open is what keeps me from going more than once every few years (no reason why Trailblazer can't be open weather permiting). This is also the first year they have an admission ($9.95) for unlimited rides. It used to be pay as you go or buy a wristband for unlimited rides
  6. ^ Sell them on EBay, you'll get a lot more than what EB and Gamestop will give you. FYE used to give awesome trade in prices but not so much anymore. I agree with what others have said. I despise EB and Gamestop and never buy anything there since they have merged (EB used to have good deals once in a while but I still rarely bought anything from them). I have had so many problems at the EB's it is ridiculous. Not to mention they sell used games as new by re-wrapping them, I bought a "new" game from them once that had a scratched disc and had crumbs in the instruction manual! They also gut a game where you take the empty case and leave it on the sales floor as a display box and keep the disc and manual in a drawer. These are sold as new but employees can take home the games and play them. Hardly what I would call new. What really got me angry was how they lied to me with the PS2 launch- . I pre-ordered in June, was supposed to get it on launch day. Launch day comes, they tell me the were shorted systems, I'll get the system in the next shipment. I call every few weeks and am told the same thing (that each shipment they get, they are not up to my name yet). Finally in January over 2 months later I call and they tell me they called me to pick up my system weeks ago and I never picked it up so I lost the pre-order spot. They never called because I gave them 2 numbers and never got a call from them and if they had really called, why did they keep telling me I would get in on the next shipment around when I supposedly was called. Corporate was called and 2 days later I get a call from the manager of EB saying they "found" my system.
  7. Not counting WDW, Hersheypark's Christmas Candylane. It's nice to have the park open so late into the year even if no coasters are open.
  8. Great Nor'Easter at Morey's. I knew SLC's had a bad reputation so I expected the worse but really enjoyed the ride (it was my 1st invert) last year. I was looking forward to riding it again this year and I'm not sure if it is more rough this year or now that I have ridden 2 B&M inverts and use to the smoothness of them, SLC's will always feel more rough but I did not enjoy it nearly as much as I did last year. I'll still ride it next year (and every yearly trip to Morey's) but it's not something I will look forward to as much.
  9. There is little to no incentive for someone to learn English now which is part of the problem. Everything is in Spanish. Go into any store and pick up a product and you'll probably see the product has English and Spanish on it. Almost all stores now have the signs with English and Spanish, there are the Spanish TV stations and even driving by stores, in the window you see writing in Spanish that translates to "We Speak Spanish." It's already to the point I think in Texas where you can't even get a job in some areas unless you speak Spanish and English. Even those Monopoly McDonald's pieces have English and Spanish on them and now toys like that new Elmo and some dolls they have Spanish speaking versions of them.
  10. I'm disgusted at what has been going on today. Multiple robberies, shootings, riots etc. over a video game system! It has brought out the worst in some people and I am just as angry at Sony for releasing so few systems which is part of the cause.
  11. That VIP ferris wheel car with the TV is awesome.
  12. I went to 2 different Best Buy stores today and both stores had people camping with tents and everything. I wonder if anyone in those lines actually are getting the systems for themselves or just for EBay.
  13. I'll probably get the Wii and either the PS3 and 360 but not for a while (year or more). I feel both systems are overpriced (Wii is over $300 with the cost of the extra neccessary controllers) and I'm satisfied with PS2, XBox, Gamecube, PSP and DS. Every new release game I want this year is either available on a system I already have (Tony Hawk Project 8) or is only coming out for the older systems like Thrillville.
  14. Sitting in that Comet car in the Hershey Museum was the most fun part of the museum for me. Christmas Candylane would be so much better if they had a coaster or two open.
  15. Actually they released it for PS2 and Gamecube as well so you could get it for one of those systems if you have them. Plus, Crazy Taxi 3 was released for XBox which has the main level from Crazy Taxi 1, the small level from Crazy Taxi 2 and a new Las Vegas level (which was designed horribly unfortunately).
  16. Nice photos, that mall looks so cool. The northeastern US could use a mall like that during the way too long of an offseason we have.
  17. I think rather than taking away family rides/attractions for thrill rides now like how World of Motion was replaced with Test Track and Horizons was replaced with Mission Space and Food Rocks was replaced with Soarin (to most people Soarin isn't a thrill ride but Food Rocks was something anyone could see, Soarin is almost like a regular motion simulator), they should build the seperate park for thrill rides and leave the current family rides alone. Almost every addition to Disney recently has been a thrill ride (again I'mrestrictions or a ride that someone who only rides tame attractions could not ride), Everest, Mission Space, Primevial Whirl, Rock N Roller Coaster, using the term thrill ride in this case as anything that has major medical Tower of Terror etc. Other than a few dark rides that were redone (Buzz and Pooh), and the Dumbo clones, Disney hasn't added many tame rides and that was what Disneyland was orginally supposed to be about, rides that everyone in the family could ride together. It's not that I think Disney should stop building thrill rides, I just think they need to keep adding tame rides as well.
  18. I'm not sure about the first 2, but the best time to visit would be a weekday in May. The park is supposedly empty at that time of year.
  19. Samba De Amigo 1 came out in the US. The sequel was only released in Japan though. The official Sega maracas only had 10,000 sets released in the US and they were impossible to find. I ended up paying a ridiculous $112 with shipping from FAO Schwarz for them because they were the only site to still have them in stock and all stores (if they got any to begin with) were sold out.
  20. Ikaruga?
  21. Dreamcast was awesome. I love arcade games and between all the Midway and Sega arcade ports for the system, I had a ton of games to play (I have about 30 Dreamcast games). I hate how the system had such a short life because so many people were unwilling to give the system a chance and that EA didn't support the system (I'd take the NFL 2K series over Madden anyday but unfortunately a system needs EA to survive)
  22. This is at Great Adventure: Daily fireworks being cut to a few nights Street performers cut mid-season as well as number of characters reduced Daily parade went from 2 shows to 1 Not all coasters were running maximum trains
  23. Inverted, I have only been on Inverted and Floorless and I love B&M Inverts. Of my top 3 steel, 2 are B&M inverts.
  24. If they have the larger seats, then that helps a lot. It would be nice if parks with the older B&M inverts that don't have the larger seats (Raptor, BTR clones etc.) would get at least 1 larger seat per train. At Dorney I see people needing those seats all the time. The other issue is newer B&M's (both inverts and floorless) and ones that got new restraints/belts have shorter belts. I read on RRC earlier this year that Alpengeist got shorter belts this year and I know for a fact Hydra's belts are shorter than Talon's.
  25. Great Adventure - Opening Weekend so end of March/Beginning of April and possibly another trip later in the season Hersheypark - Possibly Easter Sunday and definetly sometime over the summer Dorney Park - a few times a month (possibly every week in May, September and October) from opening day to closing day Morey's Piers - sometime this summer Gillian's Wonderland Pier and Playland's Castaway Cove (both Ocean City NJ parks) - multiple trips this summer Possibly a trip to BGE as well.
