  1. It's nice to see Dinosaurs Alive included with the Gold and Platinum passes. Hopefully other parks in the chain try it, especially at the parks where the attraction has been open for a few years.
  2. That's good for anyone who just missed being able to get the old belts buckled. For some reason Impulse coasters have different seatbelt lengths. I have heard Wicked Twister has much shorter belts than some others like Possessed.
  3. I like them, just in case I missed something that I wanted to read when browsing the site/forums.
  4. Those are some cool looking coasters with how little space they take up. I liked that Dive Machine the best.
  5. Great photos, it really looks like Kennywood did an awesome job of decorating the park with so many lights everywhere. Hershey also puts Santa and reindeer on the lift on Comet similar to Thunderbolt.
  6. Pinfari, the coasters I have ridden from them have been horrible. As some examples Rollie's Coaster has OTSR's with no inversions and Sea Serpent at Playland's Castaway Cove is the worst steel coaster I have ridden. The only tolerable part of the ride is the loop.
  7. The park looks very nice. Now after seeing the pictures, I wish I would have time to stop there for a few hours when I was in Pittsburgh in July (the only park I had time for was Kennywood).
  8. Like others, I'm really glad to see they released a statement. I haven't seen the film and don't expect to see it but was planning on going to Sea World next time I am in Orlando (I need all the credits!) still hope to if I have time whenever that next trip is.
  9. Yeah the stairs are especially bad for Batman at Great Adventure. Even when it's a walk on or station wait, just walking through the stairs is annoying.
  10. I'm surprised they don't have Exterminator open since it would probably be a big draw in the region to have a coaster open. Maybe because it's somewhat away from the other rides that are open?
  11. I also never heard of this until now. I would have never thought there would be guys into My Little Pony until I saw this thread.
  12. Its strange to see an Arrow looping coaster with a single corkscrew since most of them had back to back corkscrews with a few exceptions. It would be good if they could get at least 1 coaster operational again or get a new coaster to replace one of the SBNO ones.
  13. I think they are just ok, I'm not really a fan of Chickie’s & Pete’s in general. I have never been to the one at Dorney but have been to 2 of their regular locations and didn't see why they are always so crowded.
  14. The lack of air gates probably helps too. I was surprised when I went to the park and didn't see them.
  15. Yeah it's great that there will be no maximum height limit, I'm surprised about it but it's good for everyone wanting the credit.
  16. I consider Dorney and Great Adventure my home parks so no new coasters for 2014. Hopefully for 2015 one of them will get a new coaster.
  17. Great Adventure wait times can vary a lot. If you go early in the season especially on a Sunday or a weekday before schools let out, it usually isn't crowded, same with Sundays in September (before Fright Fest starts) and Friday nights in September and October. Those Friday nights are one of my favorite times of the year to go to the park since crowds are already low and many of the people there are in line for the trails/mazes so the rides are usually 0 - 10 minute waits.
  18. It would be great if they would really consider it (although I know that's very unlikely). I'd give up Stinger and Possessed to get Laser back.
  19. It's supposed to snow again tomorrow in Philadelphia. That will be the 4th snowfall in 10 days and it's not even winter yet. Thankfully it's supposed to "warm up" to the 40's and 50's later in the week.
  20. They could replace Stinger with this: http://www.guenter-engelhardt.de/entertainment/en/sale/second-hand-looping-coaster-schwarzkopf-germany.php
  21. Almost 9 years later after I posted in this thread and more coasters ridden since then, I still prefer vertical loops but the zero g roll is a close 2nd.
  22. Yep. Every time I go to KI Invertigo is usually shut down for about 30 minutes and tests maybe 6 times. Stinger at Dorney has also had some issues with riders getting stuck (the worst so far being 90 minutes). I don't really like the coaster that much anyway so I have only ridden it a few times over the past 2 seasons and will probably only ride it 2 - 3 times a season now.
  23. I'm looking forward to finally getting my 100th credit. Also the new Snake Pit waterslides at Dorney and Zumanjaro at Great Adventure.
  24. I'm glad that the store I work at still closes on Thanksgiving. A few years ago every other store in the shopping center was closed, now it seems like almost all are open and we were one of the few that closed (same thing with Easter too). I think it's only a matter of time before stores start opening on Christmas too.
  25. I had a dream a few weeks ago I was at SFGAM (a park I have never been to) but for some reason the park was really compact with all the rides built over each other and they had a boomerang in the center of the park. I have no idea why I had a dream about the park considering it was nothing what the real park looks like (based on the pictures I have seen of the park).
