  1. From my own pic, it looks like 90°: Assuming the track connector is 90° too. 3° is actually quite noticable.
  2. I always thought Krake was 90°, and only the first models were 87°. In my opinion there must be a technical reason, as 90° is an equilibrum point.
  3. Not necessary. RMC is a company which design and build rides. Programming a ride isn't the same business. Recently, RMC called Irvine Ondrey Engineering to do so, but as they say on their Facebook, SF projects are in-house.
  4. And that's funny because inverted coasters are directly inspired by ski-lifts. B&M is based in Switzerland and there're a lot of them outhere.
  5. Yet the LSM are provided by InTraSys, and they are the provider for Intamin, Mack, Premier Rides, Gerstlauer and maybe a lot more.
  6. Alpengeist supports are theming.
  7. The animation was spot-on on the loop placement: What makes it appears closer in real life is the tight FOV used on the pictures versus the wide angle of the animation.
  8. Wow, amazing! Thanks for the info, that's the best news of the day year! By the way, what about the noise barrier on the top-hat? Is it going to be installed or not finally?
  9. Blue Fire is the perfect coaster for me. The layout is excellent, the inversions are perfectly executed, and the scenery interaction is top-notch, especially on the twisted horseshoe. Yet I think Helix is better because it got even more in it! It's an amazing terrain coaster, the trains are looking even better, the layout is damn smooth yet intense, it has a bunch of varied inversions and really strong airtimes, you can ride it at night with lights on the train and it's along the best thing you can ever experience coaster-wise, the soundtrack by IMAscore is blasted with deep bass throughout the queue line and it's amazing, etc. The only point where Blue Fire beats Helix is on the vibrations. Because unfortunately, I got some on Helix, and nothing noticeable on Blue Fire.
  10. ^ Ha, you remind me I had this video of a boat from Atlantica Supersplash being lifted out of the track! I've uploaded it for those who're interested in:
  11. They only mention a water ride, not necessarily a Mack Supersplash. Last time when I was there, then mentionned a raft ride with a tube, like an hydro-lift Zamperla. But nothing is settled.
  12. Yet the animations are based on real datas, satellite images and actual trackwork from B&M. So it might be the angle of the webcam, but watch the flyaround again, it's pretty spot on IMO.
  13. Yep, at least for the French people. While some years ago, nobody here knew about Europa Park or Port Aventura (DLP was like the only theme park in the world...), those did some massive campaigns and now it's really in everyone's mind.
  14. It's more likely the helix you were talking about on page 95, nah? Behemoth's connectors are also 90°:
  15. ... when you wait in line, it's not for a coaster, but for a specific seat. "Car 3, row 1, left seat". (Yes, because the side does matter, too. And the middle of the train should not be forgotten, the airtimes might be weaker, but are longer! So are the hangtimes.)
  16. Hey, thanks for the featuring. While I agree with the beginning of your recreation (though it might lack a looping regarding the most recent news), I don't believe such a small dive would require a MCBR. We'll see. Oh BTW, wasn't it supposed to have a dark-ride section?
  17. Here is my theory about the layout: (Click for a larger version) Blue dashed link two pieces of track, but isn't mean to be track itself. The images are not from the same point of view, so... From what I understood, this ties your ideas RCT3bross.
  18. If only it was only about the Mark Twain... The whole park is falling apart. Even Ratatouille -which is freaking new- always open one hour late almost everyday due to some maintenance issues... BTM has like 6 hour of daily downtime... Phantom Manor has lighting and audio issues... The Motor Action Stunt Show lost his stunts... Downtimes, badshows, 101, broken thing, safety nets on buildings... BUT. This situation might be over. I went there and they have palisades everywhere. Everywhere. POTC came out of a refurb and is running great. Space Mountain and BTM will have their refurb in the next few years. Star Tour II will come. Many many things will happen in both parks and hotels, and it's a relief for us, because DLP slowly became a national shame for enthusiasts like me.
  19. I know right, and one of them was my teacher (in primary-school)!
  20. I heard this one at least two times, and it stills shock me. Note that I'm from France : me: - I want to go to [insert an european country] to visit some amusement parks! (s)he: - Oh wow, they got amusement parks out there, too?! They were surprised to learn that there are amusement parks all over the world...
  21. While being "in house", the peeps in charge of this project are not some random newbies. The designer is Dal Freeman, who has already designed a lot of coasters (including Bombora but also Wicked at Lagoon), and the track manufacturer is Intermountain Lift, which builds the tracks for Premier Rides, and has worked with S&S, Vekoma, Arrow, Chances Rides, etc.
  22. Did you guys spotted the two "not-rolling in the same direction" heartline rolls? It just sound awesome! (Lagoonisfun.com) And with a ride time of 2min30 while the track lenght is "only" about 833m (2,735ft), many think the elevator will hold a surprise!
  23. I also suspect the operator to be a little bit dumb too... It's common sense you don't send anyone if the previous person hasn't exited the slide.
  24. ^ Yeah that's weird, they still don't mention it on their website. I heard that there has been an accident on this slide. Apparently, a boy was sliding down, get stuck before the loop, but then before he reaches the exit, another boy was "dispatched" through the tube. They do collide, but both only have minor injuries... Yet this is worrying that you can send someone while the exit trap is open, meaning someone is still around!
