Weirdest Things The 'GP' Have Said

Actual plot twist from GP: Dunno but I can't stop laughing. -
Universal Studios Singapore Discussion Thread
KingRCT3 replied to Adriel's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I think it's still the old chassis from the old train (there's still the zero-car), minus two seats and the scenery. So three seats is impossible, it would have been asymmetrical. -
Holiday World (HW) Discussion Thread
KingRCT3 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I don't think there is any sensors beside the one after the apex of the Immelman. Since I don't see it, either it's not installed, or in the valley. However I do think it needs a lot of track adjustement. Actually it will need tweaks until the testings, since the bolts are tightened only when everything is in place. -- On another topic, is there anything planned for the pre-launch section? A little animation or something? -
Announcing "Skyline Attractions"
KingRCT3 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
OMG, I thought it would be something like that, unless I imagined that the riders themself strike with the hammer! And that they would go upward in one big shot, not multiple. Neat concept anyways, I love interactive flats. -
Stand-Up coasters= A failed concept?
KingRCT3 replied to fraroc's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I never rode stand-up myself, but I thought about an improved version of the concept : The basic idea behind this, is to reverse the seating. Your "seat" is now in front of you instead of behind, and the harness is on your back. Basically a standing version of a motocoaster if you want. I won't lie, this design is heavily influenced by Ride Entertainment Group of Companies' E-Motionboard. Don't look at the harness, since I made that drawing, I thought about a much more efficient way to do it. EDIT: View of the modified harnesses. Original drawing by Vekoma Here's a response I've had on another forum from a user called andreizsmart, and my oh my he described the actual thought of process behind this idea far better than I could ever do. I recall Ride Entertainment having a similar speech about their E-Motionboard. -
Crazy Russian Coaster?!?
KingRCT3 replied to canadianparkfan's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Are you sure that is Intamin? I already heard that a bunch of time, but I found no official statement. Plus, Intamin doesn't fabricate their tracks, it's Stakotra. I think the later did the job on its own, and Intamin was not involved. But I could be wrong. -
Gardaland Discussion Thread
KingRCT3 replied to Rockman89's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The ride was supposed to be black and orange. And they wanted to repaint the Free-Fall and Flying Island in black also. But they didn't get the permission to do so, not to have a big huge mess of black steel next to the lake of Garda. -

I think that's where Mack is heading with their Virtual Reality concept. I don't like it on outdoor coasters because actual scenery is still better, but why not in pitch-black craps, like Eurosat or Temple of the Night Hawk? -

Wow, so they modified the last corkscrew in between? Normal looking. Flattened and weird exit. -

KingRCT3 replied to Gutterflower's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Yep, indeed. Just like Fluch Von Novgorod. And judging from videos, the theming does make a difference in Fluch. Heck, the ride does stop in the middle of the vertical lift on purpose! -

I don't think t's the same as the one in the previous page. The exit of the corkscrews of this one is fine. The entrance, however... -

Here's a summary on all we know, thanks to the official website which is updated time to time: - Coaster type: hypercoaster - Construction time: over 1 ½ years - Pre-planning: since 2010 - Official opening: planned for 2015, theming in 2016 - KÄRNAN is the biggest investment the park has ever made and the largest project by far HANSA-PARK has ever undertaken. - The hypercoaster “KÄRNAN” will bear a very special name, and it will tell a story. - Its name and the story woven around it will fit the overall concept of HANSA-PARK and symbolise our Park’s name. - KÄRNAN’s full name is: - KÄRNAN'S OATH – Beware of its Spell! - You will be able to experience the full story and theming in 2016 - one season after the ride has been officially launched. - KÄRNAN will be a family thrill ride, meaning that it will be both a challenge to and an adventure for families. - Exactly how tall and how old you must be to enjoy a ride on KÄRNAN will be determined by TÜV Süd, Germany’s technical control body. - KÄRNAN will be the park’s leading motive in 2015. - KÄRNAN will sport themed trains. - The new ride attraction will be planned and designed by Munich-based Werner Stengel - an engineering firm that is highly experienced in planning out-of-the-ordinary hypercoasters - The attraction will be built by Gerstlauer, a company based in Münsterhausen, who - we are absolutely sure of that - will implement our ideas and bring them to life exactly as we imagine it - The Munich-based certification body, TÜV Süd, will be involved in the planning and development and later test and certify the hypercoaster - KÄRNAN will be what is known as a “signature ride”, and it will be visible from afar. - The hypercoaster will feature a distinct custom layout tailored to fit perfectly into HANSA-PARK - KÄRNAN will not feature an inclined lift, but a vertical lift - KÄRNAN will feature a vertical first drop. - KÄRNAN’S track layout is marked since mid June. - KÄRNAN will pass through a dark section before the lift. - KÄRNAN will pass through a dark section before heading into the station. - KÄRNAN will have a ride element shaped like a heart. - KÄRNAN will have a an inversion element. - KÄRNAN‘s inversion element will be in the dark. - KÄRNAN will also be a terrain coaster running just slightly above the ground on certain ride sections. - KÄRNAN will feature 16-seat trains with lap bars. - KÄRNAN’s tower will be founded on piles that combined have a length of about 1.8 km - KÄRNANs The track height will be 73m (lift hill above the base). - KÄRNANs The tower will be about 79m high. - KÄRNANs The tower made of reinforced concrete weighs roughly 4,800t. - KÄRNAN’s total track length will be 1,235 metres. - KÄRNAN’s first drop will be a 67-metre plunge. - KÄRNAN will require about 200 supports outside the buildings. I stressed in bold that they're talking about a vertical lift, and not an elevator. -

I only rode a StarShape once, that was Air at the WinterWonderland. . Note that I can put my hands up on any coasters, even the first time - but here, well, I was holding for my life. Hear my heart racing too. It does not give nausea as it's really aerial and the moves are ample. It's not as violent as a Top Scan (at least that's what I heard, never rode one of those). However, it does smash you one or two times, you know, when you feel your legs are going to leave your body as the seat assembly rotates on itself very quickly (1:56 and 2:25 on my POV). -

Weird Chinese Coasters
KingRCT3 replied to GigaG's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ Yep, you're right. The zero-g roll was actually there in the first place, then was removed into the camel back : You can see the supports match the former roll. (RCDB) About the Volare, it's indeed difficult to know if it's their product or an actual picture of another manufacturer. But the fact they think about doing it is already terrifying... -

You all know that camelback in the chinese SLC's... Well, SLB (Beijing Shibaolai Amusement Equipment Co., Ltd.) decided to turn it into a zero-g roll... or something. Source, thanks to HappyTreeX1 on NLE. EDIT: Oh wait, they also copied the Volare! -
The Rumor / Crazy Idea Superthread
KingRCT3 replied to Wes's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I had an idea for a new game stall. I just found those random videos showing a laser gun... that can shoot balloons! I immediately thought that we could make a terrific "next-gen" stall out of it! The laser is only a diode from a blu-ray disc burner, so it's not expensive or rocket-science at all, and the effect is amazing. See: _______________________________ Ok, if you don't like my game stall (boohoo ), here is a new crazy idea, but this time, coming from a real patent. I think its title says it all: Amusement park with rides conveying park-goers in their own motor vehicles. That's right. A theme park that you visit staying in your own car, even for the rides and roller coasters!! I mean, WHAT?! -
Here is your picture : I don't know why, but if it's going to happen, I smell Premier Rides could be the manufacturer. Edit : And two others concepts from VHcoasters.com ^ The park is also building a Full Throttle clone, which comforts me about Premier Rides being the manufacturer.
