  1. Prowler is better than Renegade. Mamba is better than Wild Thing. Patriot is better than...um...corkscrew. Spinning Dragons is better than Wild Mouse by a long shot. Not trying to be rude, but what doesn't WOF have on Valleyfair? Dorney is the only park you listed that comes close to beating it in my opinion. When they get a good wooden coaster, then we can talk.
  2. FTFY I´d switch Canada´s Wonderland and Carowinds but overall it looks good.
  3. What´s interesting is that on Zamperla´s website, Kite Flyers are not in the ¨kiddie¨ category but is instead in the ¨family¨ and ¨tween¨ categories, so maybe this ride will be a little better than I expect it to be. But I do think the new set of Flying Scooters will be the best ride in Planet Snoopy, by far. I kinda wish they put it in the park somewhere else like CW and VF did so I don´t look creepy standing in line for a kiddie ride with a bunch of kids.
  4. CP fanboys will be pissed when they hear this. The truth hurts.
  5. Sorry about the double post, but here is some new info on the project: -All rides are testing. -Collectively, all the rides costs the park around $2 million. I don't know if that includes Timberwolf but that is about $1 million in itself. -Park will add the world's first giga aquatrax in 2017. Overall the park did pretty well this year in terms of expansions. Right now it seems like Worlds of Fun is betting treated miles better than Dorney and Valleyfair with the Planet Snoopy expansions, Steelhawk, Dinosaurs Alive, Timber Wolf GCI treatment, Grand Carousel, and Oceans of Fun slide tower/park renovation just within the past 5 years. That's not including all the HAUNT attractions as well, which cost a pretty penny the way Worlds of Fun constructs them.
  6. Contest? Progress on Planet Snoopy? Part of me wishes they would announce the Europe rides, but that is seeming more and more unlikely for this year.
  7. From what I've heard from the General Manager of Worlds of Fun, here is how new expansions go: -Most of the time the park decides the coaster, not Cedar Fair. -Park gets expansion budget directly correlated to how the park did the previous year, unless Cedar Fair feels expansion would be necessary for growth. -Anniversary years literally mean nothing expansion-wise.
  8. New light poles WOW! NEW light poles!!! I guess this is not much of an "off season" after all! Holy S***!
  9. Hurler is not the same ride as Ghostrider. Checklist for GCI rebuilding a coaster: Is it a woodie? Yes End of discussion.
  10. While I do think this is a bad decision by SeaWorld, I do believe SeaWorld can go on without it. Dark rides have become so advanced now that you really don´t need live animals in order to give guests an immersive and educational experience. Plus, if I´m going to SeaWorld, I´m going for Mako, Manta, and Kraken for the most part. To put it simply: It will still be a great park even without dancing whales.
  11. Sadly it was Spinning Dragons all the way back in November at Worlds of Fun...
  12. GCI is actually retracking three woodies next year (not entirely, but still) so I´d imagine that if KD decides to keep the ride a retrack is in the near future.
  13. This is almost heartbreaking. Let us remember this moment when we complain that our park doesn't get anything new...
  14. Let´s hope Dollywood can pull a miracle. It was supposed to be testing almost a month ago, so they are far behind schedule. And with it being technology RMC has never encountered before, I suspect it will open late. But who knows... I told you guys weeks ago. BUT NOW MY PROPHETIC WORDS OF WISDOM REIGN TRUE IN THE LAND OF DOLLY! Just kidding. But for real, this sucks. Honestly this is a marketing disaster from Dollywood. I'd expect better from them. It's not the end of the world to open a ride late, but to tell guests only 3 days before opening that it won't be running is downright apocalypse. Especially since their on-side hotel will be giving you a $90 cancellation fee for deciding that the mere sight of Lightning Rod isn't worth $100's of dollars to you. Maybe I missed the part where they would refund those who booked early, but if not, this is kinda upsetting. You're just telling guests that trusting the park=losing money. That's a bad stance to make from a PR perspective.
  15. Singing ¨Call Me Maybe¨ by Carly Rae Jepsen on some late night Prowler ERT during Coaster Mayhem is one of my fondest memories. Not to mention the former PR guy and the GM were sitting in the car in front of us.
  16. From the first drop all the way to the start of the helix (almost the first half of the ride).
  17. From what I´ve ridden: 1. Outlaw Run (favorite coaster, period) 2. New Texas Giant 3. Iron Rattler
  18. To turn Timber Wolf into a family coaster is actually a great idea, as WOF doesn´t really have a great family coaster. The height requirement is an issue but overall it´s a great idea.
  19. Anytime I see something from Dorney´s event, it always looks like they copy off of parks in the cheapest ways possible. But I may be wrong. Also, I´ve heard under staffing is an issue.
  20. You're not the only one having Deja Vu. Also, anyone else think its completely pointless to rank rides you've never ridden? But dude! I´ve seen ALL of the POV´s!
