  1. I really hope for something bigger. They wouldn't start teasing in April for 2 flats, would they?
  2. Yes, like remember when he was saying a couple of months ago that he was 100% CERTAIN that Cedar Point was to change Valravn's name before it was announced? Very reliable source...
  3. Right there with ya. Not a very thrilling attraction, but the views are amazing. If you look to your right the entire ride cycle it can be downright majestic.
  4. It's the top of Linus Launcher. I guess they just haven't put it on yet. Notice the object that Snoopy is sitting on.
  5. I think we all know what's going on in the games building.
  6. I heard someone say they saw a dolphin in the wave pool at Oceans of Fun.
  7. This was uncalled for. Chill... What's sad is when sarcasm / a joke goes over your head and you think the person is being serious. I'm just gonna leave this here:
  8. I feel like less of a man for just reading this. No you don't.
  9. Yeah, but it's gettin' there! If you all get that rumored giga. Forget anything else till you remove a ride or two. Worlds of Fun's problem is that got too much room tbh.
  10. Be sure to ride Zach's Zoomer because it has my name in it.
  11. Outlaw Run. This ride is over-the-top insane and out of control. To me it's the perfect ride in every way besides length. The airtime, drop, forces, terrain, setting, etc. are all exactly what I want from a coaster. Even the queue and plaza is great, especially since it takes place in the Ozark mountains and is so separated from everything else in the park. I can't talk enough about how much I love it. I'd love to try Lightning Rod though. I feel like it's the only ride that can beat it. But it's lack of inversions and theming (which is great, but just doesn't resonate with me) would take it down a few levels.
  12. I was never interested in Log Fumes until I rode Log Chute at Nickelodeon Universe. Easily some of the most fun I've ever had on a ride and definitely the best ride in the park.
  13. It's a bayou themed haunted house. Mystery solved. Oh? I will say that I worked at Halloween Haunt at WOF last year (Bayou was new) and when Dorney reps came to visit, they were "very impressed" with it. Also, the plans from the Thunderhawk sign photo match almost perfectly with the plans for Blood on the Bayou last year.
  14. I thought Kentucky Kingdom was in North Korea?!?
  15. Yeah dude. A month or two delay is totally as bad as a ride that sent people to the ER and was structurally unsound. I posted this just after seeing responses to the original post. Once I saw who posted it I got it.

  17. I had heard it was going to be done over three years. Has it been extended? Also, do you know if the retracking is finished now and if it will be ready for opening day? I'm guessing it's over four years because the park keeps referring to it as a four year project. They have about half the ride done now. The ride is testing so I'm guessing it will be open opening day. Testing. Photo creds to David McCall

  19. You really feel the park added NOTHING this year?!?!?! If all you went to Carowinds for was for thunder road then there was the problem right there. But its nice to know that food would bring you back. Not Fury 325, not the water park expansion . . . but food. You are taking my statement out of context. I said they didn't add anything this year in terms of what I go to the park for so for me it's just a downgrade from last year and I will probably wait until they add the new flats to go back. I'm completely aware of the aggressive expansion investments Cedar Fair is putting into the park. I understand everyone has different opinions and I respect that. We all like different things etc etc... but lol what? Nobody in their right mind can say that a mediocre-at-best wood coaster (haven't ridden but Rebel Yell isn't good and supposedly Thunder Road was worse) is better than Fury. Hate B&M all you want but I don't understand this coming from someone on a coaster enthusiast forum that doesn't have some serious sentimental connection that I don't know about (and I'd love for you to explain this to me). Or was it the mini golf? It's losing the mini golf, isn't it... In other words, I respect your opinion...but...f*** your opinion. What he's trying to say is he goes to the park for roller coasters and thrill rides. If there are less coasters to ride, even if they aren't the best ones, he can't justify spending the same amount of money (or more) than last season for less of what he likes. He's voting with his wallet, like we all should. But hey, be thankful Worlds of Fun isn't your homepark. They've taken two rides out in the last two years and we have nothing you would like in return (unless you love Planet Snoopy rides).
  20. So basically, here's a recap of the improvements this season: -5 new Planet Snoopy rides. -Timberwolf retracking (2/4) -2 new shows for summer -Some of Mamba repainted -No more Thunderhawk -More Coca-Cola freestyle machines We'll have to see when the European flat rides are installed, but overall it has been a great off season. Let's again hope something big is coming, but I've been saying "THIS YEAR IS THE YEAR!" since 2012.
  21. Sadly, it would have to be Boomerang at Six Flags St. Louis. But if your don't count that as new, then Outlaw Run at Silver Dollar City.
  22. I don't check this thread for one day and I come back to this!
  23. If only Dollywood built Lightning Rod's launch with a chain like Prowler's...
