  1. Personally ambiance and atmosphere plays a big part to me. You will never see a parking lot coaster on my top ten list. This is why Outlaw Run is my favorite coaster. Nice station, nice queue, nice plaza, and of course barrel rolling through the woods. Epic. I also love the element of surprise. When an element gives me a complete different feeing or experience I don't expect from it, you can count on it to move up a few ranks. Example: Outlaw Run's sideways airtime hill.
  2. I find it funny that even though this conversation ended mutually and respectfully, you have to bring to life a dead corpse. You are acting like some giant war is taking place. Meanwhile, BuffaloWingRider and I are laughing at your attempt to start drama again. . Whenever any of us ends a discussion on this thread, someone always has to rile it up again. Speaking of which, did you hear that Camp Snoopy is Planet Snoopy now? New rides and everything!
  3. It sucks but I do appreciate the heads up. I'm more upset about Woodstock Gliders than Steelhawk though. I love Flying Scooters so I hope they are ready the weekend after opening.
  4. Don't worry deguy 123 I'm already at it. #bushwatch2016 is already underway and we will keep you covered when more info becomes available.
  5. Looks like Worlds of Fun will not be opening Steelhawk nor 2 of the 5 new rides for Planet Snoopy Opening Weekend. Source: KMBC 9 News Link: http://www.kmbc.com/news
  6. I find it funny that even though this conversation ended mutually and respectfully, you have to bring to life a dead corpse. You are acting like some giant war is taking place. Meanwhile, BuffaloWingRider and I are laughing at your attempt to start drama again. The forum auto corrects it to that. I put the original word and it was changed in post.
  7. Please. Do you really think such a muted color would go to a CF park? *Cough Valravn Valravn is a burnt orange color with a silver strike at the bottom, which makes it stand out. This is a straight up muted brown.
  8. I hope the ride planners go ride Journey to Atlantis and come to their senses before considering that. I'm betting the "water" coaster will be a water propelled raft coaster as part of the water park expansion. No CGA is due for a full fledged steel coaster. And with Joker opening up the road, I don't see CF messing around... On the map the water coaster area is labeled ¨10¨ and is placed within the dry park.
  9. I don´t agree with the front gate coaster thing simply because Matt has said that KI already has a fantastic front gate. I don´t see a giga happening either tbh. In a park that doesn´t get very good ROI for new attractions, I don´t think a $30 million giga coaster is the answer.
  10. The CGA expansion is something to look at. But I question what the timeline is on their expansion compared to when the initial report was made that Carowinds, Valleyfair, and CGA were mentioned as growth parks. The question is: is this a new thing at CGA, or is the announcement born from the land disputes with the city? I know that Cedar Fair has a lease on the park until 2072 so how long is this expansion spread out? And with this recent announcement, what will happen first after Carowinds? CGA or VF? I'm guessing the CGA thing was announced in order to entice the city to help them in the future. I'm guessing their plans are spread over 10 to 15 years. If all this happened in 5 years, it would make Carowind's expansions look like Michigan Adventure's new petting zoo.
  11. Let us all not forget that this all started because a VF fanboy was pissed that someone ranked WOF in a higher tier than VF on CF food chain...
  12. Wrong (but it is a fantastic ride) Well, true. Maybe true a couple of years ago, but since the GCI retracking has made the ride a lot better. Dead wrong. Unless you prefer a rough ride over dirt than a smoother ride racing through a forest. This one is the one that pisses me off. You know why? It's DEAD wrong. I didn't want to say anything beforehand because I didn't want to be rude, but PT is complete ASS. I've had better forces on Steelhawk. That ride is garbage and literally every non-fanboy knows it. Detonator might not be the best tower ride, but the ejector off the first launch is epic. I've seen POV videos where you can see people hopping out of their seat on the thing. I swear to god, I've had a better time on the Kite Eating Tree in Planet Snoopy than on PT, no lie. I really didn't want to start this up again because I didn't want to be to rude or intruding, but starting to sh*t talk a park for no reason in a forum is just ridiculous. It would be a little obnoxious if a CP fanboy compared WOF vs CP (even though he'd be right) but when you have VF as a home park it's just laughable. Even if you feel it's a better, it's not monumentally better like you claim.
  13. To make it worse, your family would much rather spend it's time and money golfing than on your silly roller coasters. Cedar Point is removing Dinosaurs Alive!
  14. On the other hand, I'm not so sure I'd 'boast' about Windbreaker. I found it quite anticipointing at Knotts. You know--before it stranded riders for hours and Cal-OSHA refused to let them reopen it, so it scooched to WoF. I'd MUCH rather ride VF's Disk'o coaster than Windsucker. Sorry--do I keep calling it mean names? It's a tic, I think. Tho an emergency evacuation might liven things up a bit. Don't get me wrong. I like both parks. Only not for that thing. Steelhawk for Worlds of Fun is four things: -A new thrill ride for GP who are afraid of heights. -Some big and eye catching for the skyline. -Something pretty at night to look at (the light package is gorgeous) -A more thrilling and open-aired sky tower for the rest of us (the views you get on the thing are out of this world.) Things it's not: -A white nuckle thrill ride (although I've went with a handful of people who were terrified at the top). It's not incredible by any means, but it's nice to have. Also, of the few times I've seen it stuck, it has never been up there for over 10 min. I've only seen it stuck maybe 3 times max, and that's of the 50+ times I've been there since it's opened (one of them was because of a power outage). Believe me, I hope something big comes to both parks soon. I just got back from a trip to Minnesota over a week ago, and I was astounded by MOA down the road. I'd love a reason to go back, but right now VF doesn't give me that because they don't really have anything too impressive that isn't in my backyard already.
  15. Oh my god guys. After years of waiting, pleading, crying, etc. We finally have an aquatrax coming to the US *endless tears of joy*
  16. Well, I mean... it's not like they still have Shoot The Rapids. Sorry. Forgot to use past tense.
  17. Millennium Force. It's not near the best roller coaster in the world. In fact, it's not even the best coaster in the park. Maverick is a lot better in my opinion.
  18. Its called concrete. . . If Cedar Point wanted a splash down they could make it work. Maybe what they are working on is a tunnel?! Or glass shields next to the ride. Is this the case for the entire peninsula? Because if not, I don't understand how the park can have rides like Shoot the Rapids and yet cannot have a splashdown. Maybe I'm just stupidl. That is a very real possibility.
  19. Prowler is better than Renegade. Mamba is better than Wild Thing. Patriot is better than...um...corkscrew. Spinning Dragons is better than Wild Mouse by a long shot. Not trying to be rude, but what doesn't WOF have on Valleyfair? Dorney is the only park you listed that comes close to beating it in my opinion. When they get a good wooden coaster, then we can talk. The hypers and GCIs are all a matter of opinion. Even if one is better than another it's by a hair. You guys need a launch coaster. We have a mediocre one, but you have a mediocre invert. Everything below that doesn't even matter. You are bringing a wild mouse into this? That shows you are desperate. If you were KD you wouldn't be doing that What park do you think WOF is closer too? A park that has everything it has plus a giga and two launch coasters, or a park that has everything it has (VF, Dorney, CGA). Why don't you take this back to your own thread where you can discuss how WOF and CP are on the same tier because they both have red hyper coasters. Your arguments are ridiculous. Damn Daniel, back at it again with the Butthurt. I would never say VF is a bad park, but I'd say a lot of it is not as good as WOF. But that's just my opinion. I just hate that I never see WOF fanboys stirring sh*t in this forum and yet BuffaloWingRider has to call us out for no reason. When we say WOF is growing faster than the other park its size, it's not because we're mean, it's because it's true. I will say that I'd rather live next to VF AND MOA rather than just WOF, and if you have season passes to both, you are a very lucky person.
  20. A splashdown is one of the best parts of a dive coaster. It's cool to ride on but it's better to watch. It's what makes this type of ride really stand out. That's why Valravn just looks so bland to me. If CP can't put one of the best parts of a dive coaster on their dive coaster, then they shouldn't build a dive coaster.
