  1. ---------------------------- Also, it looks like they have taken the rest of the day off due to the rain.
  2. One of my least favorite Intamin rides is their drop towers and Gyro-Drops. I hate being slowly lifted hundreds of feet into the air, to just sit there.... and then drop straight back down. No thank you. The anxiety that it causes me is not worth it. One of the few rides I'll actually skip at parks.
  3. So glad to see them back at work! I'm also surprised to see them working in such wet conditions. Looks like we might see part of the bottom of the drop going in today.
  4. I'm surprised to see these Polercoasters catching on so quickly. It seems like usually companies wait a few years after a new product is out, and successfully running before buying one... but not the the case with these!
  5. What Cobras Curse currently looks like! ... I feel like this is one of the most over looked projects of 2016.
  6. Oh. God. No... Not Deja Vu. That ride was AWFUL! I think the thread you are think of is the "worst roller coaster" thread. Or something like that. Personally I like this thread because it focuses on Intamin, which is a company that we all LOVE, but never really take the time to think about some of the not so perfect rides they have made.
  7. ^ Call me crazy... but I don't see how letting one person off the ride at a time is any quicker or easier than swinging down the entire row and releasing all the restraints at once. Then again, idk... obviously letting one person out at a time works... otherwise... why would they do it? Right...?
  8. We understand the real pain of the off season, while the GP doesn't even think twice about a park being closed.
  9. Of course the park cares!! Haven't you heard yet?! They have planed an entire new roller coaster around their 150th anniversary! It's going to be called Annie 150!! For the parks 150th anniversary they are building the worlds first launched inverted aquatrax. It will be 150ft tall, feature a 150mph launch, it will spend 150 seconds underwater, and it will feature 150 inversions... Of course all of this will be completed in a ride time of 150 seconds. I can't believe you have not heard about this yet!
  10. My guess is an idiot... You know... like the person who posted "ideit" to begin with.
  11. WAIT!! So you mean to tell me the shark used on the Jaws ride was NOT a real shark?!? ... Who knew?! (Obviously I know it was NOT a real shark.) That's about how I feel after reading those comments.
  12. ^ Great little coaster. However, that first airtime hill is a little more extreme than what I would expect to see on a "family" Coaster. Other than that... it looks great!
  13. Cedar Points skyline is the ONLY skyline that ever makes me cry tears of joy when I see it... No other park has ever been able to do that, so Cedar Point will always be the best for me! Never arrived at night though, so I may have to make that happen this summer!
  14. Yesssss, that stuff is crack!! Goes great with raspberry flavored Vodka!
  15. Let's see... Some of the most memorable gifts I got were: - A Coaster Dynamix Top Thrill Dragster Nano-coaster! - A stuffed teddy bear that my partner got me. I know it sounds lame, but the shirt that the Teddy bear is wearing has a custom message on it, and the message happens to be one of mine and my partners sayings to each other. So it is really close to my heart. Yes I am 28, and happy to have gotten a Teddy bear for Christmas! DON'T JUDGE ME! - Clothes... Lot's of clothes.... Lot's of winter clothes which I am thankful for because walking across campus in the winter is miserable. - A remote control drone! - And so much more.... However, as odd as this sounds, this year I found more joy in giving gifts than getting gifts! (Aside from my new Teddy bear!)
  16. Just because I am curious... But have you ever been on Thunderbolt?? I only ask this because Thunderbolt's restraints are by far some of the most uncomfortable... boxy restraints I have ever experienced. I prefer Intamin's over Thunderbolts ANY day. Then again, everyone is different... So to each their own.
  17. Awesome report! Grand great photos! Looks like an amazing edition to Orlando. We will definitely be stopping by during our next visit to Orlando.
  18. Cedar Point will forever have the best skyline of any park. Not only is there a really impressive lineup of coasters, and a nice varying of heights, but almost all of the coaster look just as amazing (if not more amazing) when lit up at night.
  19. Time for an update!! (And a bump. It's been a while since this topic has been posted in!) Top Thrill Dragster is by far my favorite coaster in the park. The launch, and tower are both so extreme that it's hard to beat those experiences. Following Top Thrill Dragster: 2.) Maverick 3.) Millennium Force 4.) Wicked Twister 5.) Gatekeeper 6.) Magnum 7.) Gemini 8.) Raptor I'm sure Valravn will be between Maverick and Millennium Force.
  20. Or maybe just change the MCBR so that it does not bring the train to a complete stop, and bring it back to the awesomeness it was when it first opened?
  21. True! (It's effing nasty.) The person below me is ready to open their Christmas Presents!
