My partner said the same thing the first time I told him about the Raptor "accident." He said "How could they not hear the train coming, and get out of the way??" I guess when you are in the low zone of a coaster, the sound of the coaster roaring right above your head just isn't nearly as important as trying to find your phone.

Okay. . . So call me crazy, But I was not "blown away" by this coaster. The lift is amazingly fast, the drop looks awesome, and the non-inverting loop looks like it would be fun, but after that it just lost my interest. . . I know I am in the minority here, but after the loop the coaster really doesn't seem to be all that amazing. I'd take Skyrush or MF over this coaster any day. (Yes, I know videos, and photos don't do the ride justice) but just watching this video is not enough to make me want to book a flight to go ride this coaster.

On first look of renting a car rates were about $400 for the time period I needed the car. Diving in a little deeper, and researching a little more I have found ONE car rental that was less expensive.

SFMM would be nearly empty! More YOLO/TC time for the rest of us. Except neither of those rides would be running because none of the ride-ops would pass the IQ test either.

Hey everyone, I just recently (tonight) found out that I will be in Washington DC for a few days! I have a Friday, and Saturday free. I know have read on here a few times that there are shuttles(?) From the DC area to both Busch Gardens Williamsburg, and Kings Dominion? I'm flying into DC Thursday night, and I will NOT be renting a car, so my question to you all. . . (because I know many of you have traveled from DC to these two parks) . . . What is the best way about getting transportation to these two parks? Is there a shuttle? Should I uber, or taxi (yuck) it? And which park would be best to visit on which day? I was thinking of doing BGW on Friday, and KD on Saturday. Or should I flip those two and to KD on Friday, and BGW on Saturday?? I'll be visiting the parks the last weekend of April. Is it worth getting the "Line skip" pass at each park, or should the parks be slow enough that I will be fine? (Keep in mind I have never been to either of these parks, and I will be visiting the two parks alone.) Any advice for this up coming trip that you all can provide for me will be great! Thanks in advance.

Aren't you back tracking a little if you are going from Carowinds --> Bush Gardens Tampa?? Either way I would go with Route two. You're going to get to experience a lot of new parks, and a lot of great coasters like i305, and Skyrush!! You can always visit Kings Island at a later time!! If you can visit Cedar Point "any time I want once I'm back in the midwest" then making the trip down to Kings Island shouldn't be a problem in the future!! So my vote goes to Route Two!

My partner wears contacts every time we go to parks and he has never had any issues. His contacts have survived all the coasters, thrill rides and water rides we have been on. Never had a problem.

At this rate Valravn will be done in no time!! Anyone else think they might get the next support, and next two track pieces put into place today??

I'm curious if you even read the most recent article posted. In the article it clearly says that the father of the victim has not yet decided if they were going to sue the park. (Probably because the father knows that there is not really a case.) From the article: I bet they will NOT end up suing the park because they will go to a lawyer and find out that they have no case against the park, because the park was not in the wrong. It was their son who ignored the warning signs and climbed the fences into a (clearly posted) restricted area.

Now even the waterparks are getting gate rides. Gatekeeper H20??

Eh, I don't know about you, but I have heard (and read) plenty of "b!tching" from "CF Fanboys" about Cedar Fair calling their roller skaters "coasters." The main one that comes to mind is Pipe Scream at Cedar Point. CF Fanboys still complain about that being called a coaster.

Maybe I am in the minority here, but I don't really think that TPR needs a "Theme Song." I don't know why, I just don't think that it is something that would really be that "beneficial" to TPR. Where would you expect for this purposed song to be used? The intro to the YouTube videos? If so it would need to be just a few seconds of (probably) just instrumental music. Just something to play while the "TPR" Screen is up. The TPR videos having been doing just fine for (what seems like) forever without music. Keep in mind this is all just my opinion. I am not Robb, nor do I know what Robb thinks might be best for the site, or for the future of TPR! I'm just throwing my two cents out there.
