Favorite attraction never made?
DoinItForTheFame replied to Themonerd's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Not going to lie, I would have rode it, even if it was going to be made by Arrow. It looks awesome! Isn't this why X-Scream was built? It was the replacement for this coaster. Stratosphere still wanted to provide the thrill of a coaster going over the edge of the tower. -

Well, track work is all said and done. . . Which brings us a new blog post, a new video, and some new photos. Source, and Source. That last picture looks awesome! Can't wait to see testing begin! -

That should make all those happy who were complaining about the lack of a splash down. -

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but don't almost all other Intamin coasters have brakes that drop down on the final brake run. Granted some of them are a different style of brake, but they still retract once the train has been slowed down to a specific speed. -

Nope, I'm excited for this as well. I'm also excited to see the station, and such come together. -

Come on now, this is important. Maybe not "attending the family reunion or else your mother will never let you hear the end of it; after all, they're all getting on now, and she may never get a chance to see any of them again" level of importance. But definitely a "Kanye just called someone out on Twitter" level of importance. No, More along the lines of "just pointing things out." -

Turns out there was one support that was left to be installed, because only one of the two footers that was being discussed actually attached directly to the track. The other one had a very small support that was installed. Just saying. -

Funniest Ride Experiences
DoinItForTheFame replied to Coasters 4 ever's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Let's see. . . One of the funniest ride experiences that I have had was on Mr. Freeze Reverse Blast at SFOT. It was early in the morning right after the park opened. We were sitting in the front row, and when the train came back into the station we noticed that we stopped short of where the train usually stops. Turns out what we noticed was right. The train really did stop about a foot short. A few minutes later the ride operator's announced that the ride was "Currently closed due to technical difficulties. . ." About 20 minutes later maintenance showed up, and simply pushed the train forward about a foot. Once the train was back in the correct position the guy behind us yelled to the maintenance team "Boy, you guys really had to work hard for that extra few inches." It made lightened up the frustration of other riders on the train from being "stuck" on the coaster. -
Just because I am curious. . . What is it about Wildfire that you don't enjoy? Wildfire is by far one of the smoothest B&M coasters out there, not to mention the view to the left of the lift hill is amazing. There is a nice mix of inversions, and the first drop provides nice airtime in the back row.

I agree. I think a dark color scheme would be to dark for what the park is doing with their skyline. It seems like the park likes to keep bright vivid colors in their skyline, and a dark coaster just wouldn't have "fit" with the rest of the skyline. I can think of several coaster "enthusiast" who will care, because to them it is to similar to Rougarou, and they thought they were queuing for Rougarou, and then they were highly disappointed because they ended up on Valravn. . . All because the colors between Valravn and Rougarou are oh so similar. -

Even with the rain they managed to get the last part of that turn put in! Hopefully they will finish track work tomorrow!!
