  1. Much more likely to pressure wash the structure to strip what remains of the white paint for Twisted Cyclone. Sent from my LGLS992 using Tapatalk pressure wash ALL the paint off the wood? yeah, no.
  2. I think Elissa would beg to differ about bruising.
  3. it's hot as hell outside so that's my excuse that i actually watched both videos with my stopwatch app open. i sure don't see those two videos being any different. if it has slowed down, those videos aren't the proof, that's for sure.
  4. Well then let me rephrase and say in OUR opinion we thought it was a dump, and we will always remember is as looking like a dump in 2012. That's just ridiculous. I mean if you're comparing it to DLR or something, then your expectations for a Six Flags park are out of whack. The only time the park could really could be considered a dump would be maybe in the 90s due to the quality of guest in the park during those years, but certainly not in 2012. this is what i do. i keep my expectations low.
  5. did a lap around Knott's today since I hadn't been in a while. figured it would be dead. more cars in the parking lot than i thought there would be. ghostrider was sending half empty trains. but 2 train operation. it also feels pretty much just as smooth to me when it reopened. silver bullet only had one train and was never full. rode those two then walked over to see the construction. not much different than when socaljasonland went last week. planters around the trees near coast rider are up now. the other side is still just dirt. coast rider was just sending empty trains. no one riding. no wait for ghostrider no wait for silver bullet planters have risen dirt and a bobcat some guy trying to get a screen shot of the webcam by a yellow bench.
  6. they don't have bottle holder at any coaster at SFMM. I think only X2 you can't leave it in the cubby holder, or just on the side. i have one and have never left it in a locker, but I also haven't ridden X2 in some time. but for sure, all the other coasters you can leave the bottle on the side.
  7. Similar, really. Green Lantern is the obvious one I skip because it's utter garbage, but I usually skip all the B&Ms as well unless I'm there with people who have never visited before. I also skip Revolution when the VR is working but will ride the crap out of it when VR is down. Did Justice League for the first time recently and probably wouldn't ride that again by choice as it's not my thing. that reminds me, i do ride scream. i've only had one real bad rattly ride lately. but, if that continues, then i won't much anymore. if it's a ghost town day, i'll ride batman. but still, it's pretty much TC. i would ride Revolution if there's no line. but that VR screwed that all up. actually, when i think about it, i only rode it for that pass holder preview thing. we got so many rides because it kept screwing up. 3 times for me, and one for my friend. i think we got like 5 rides straight.
  8. SFMM..I honestly hardly ride much there. If I go with someone I don't normally go with, I'll ride whatever they want. But I rarely ride, X2, won't ever ride Green Lantern, I do love Tatsu, but I can't stand flyer restraints, so it's low on the list. Mainly, I just ride TC, Drop of Doom, Yolo, and before it was rough, Apocalypse. A great day for me is to get lunch, ride TC as much as possible, get dinner, and go home.
  9. "Lawsuit filed over injury to young boy on Knott's Berry Farm log ride" www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-knotts-berry-farm-lawsuit-20170829-story.html
  10. i don't think any rides will be closed. restaurants and such, yeah, but that's normal for the off season.
  11. This!! Great announcement from the park. If I remember correctly they used to have a year round calendar? Maybe I'm mistaken? Just glad to see daily operations are here/back!! the most i remember 25 or so years back was just september was daily, which was stupid dead back then. 5-6 rows of cars on some days. wouldn't even fill the first lot.
  12. i'm pretty interested to see how it plays out. even at Knott's i question if it's worth it. it's so dead there during the off season weekdays. one train operations and you can pretty much stay on the coasters without getting off. i'd really be interested to see the data on how much it costs to run the park compared to not, and the profit margins. anyway, i look forward to some marathon days. i'm not complaining.
  13. it's going to be so dead during those off season days. i was looking forward to just september. back when they used to open during september 20 years ago, it was a ghost town. i expect it to be like knott's is during the off season, dead. it's much more fun to marathon TC than Xcelerator.
  14. watching the video i don't doubt it at all.
  15. they aren't my favorite drops. they are crazy because most throw you out, but then you slam back down into your seat.
  16. when mean streak opened it was all queue line.
  17. looks like they've added double running wheels on them now.
  18. few weeks ago I did The Beast at night front row, then a day or so later did The Voyage at night front row. I also like The Voyage better. I also rode in the back on the Voyage the next day and that was brutal for me after the final tunnel. But, will never pass up a night ride on The Beast. I really like the helix.
  19. new for 2018 a second refurbished Scream train that matches the 2 year old paint job!
  20. To be honest I am not familiar with the coaster well enough to notice that much of a difference from the last time I rode a few year ago. It seemed like it was running the best of the three woodies, however. Raven was running unfortunately pretty rough and I didn't ride Voyage this visit. I've never been a huge Voyage fan and after I heard comments like "I might need to go to the hospital" after one of our people rode, I felt it was best to skip it this time around! Personally my favorite three attractions at Holiday World are Raven, Mammoth, and Wildebeest. Even though Raven was not running as well as in previous visits, I did ride it multiple times (mostly in the very front though.) I liked all the three woodies fairly equally with Voyage night right front row being my favorite. Back row was great until after the last tunnel. It was Ghostrider pre retrack torture. Back to try to catch up on sleep in the cabana after that.
  21. When you are addressing the person above you, you only need to put one ^. ^^ means you were talking to me...even though I'm smart enough to know you weren't. Just an observation if you want to get things "right" I'll use as much ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ as I want. ^especially when it's your birthday.
  22. you're a unicorn! haha i've never seen it duel even 20% of the time. but i also probably have a different opinion of when it's actually close enough to call it a duel. a train that isn't even touching the next one isn't a duel to me. since basically there's no interaction. it's just close. which, it is probably 60% of the time, i'll agree that that is possible. i don't know how many times i've ridden, but i have like 2 dual, duels. i may have 20% a single duel. just guessing but it's not that much. many close calls though. sometimes it looks to be perfect, then that blue side does that hesitation at the top and screws it all up. i savor those WCB and media shoot duels that i've gotten to experience. btw, crossing my fingers for something decent at KBF since i'm so close to it.
  23. i was there the 24th, 25th and some of the 26th. Fury is a beast. I also like Intimidator more than Diamondback. But both are awesome, and I can only wish either was at SFMM over Goliath.
