  1. Also all the trash cans in parking lot have all been power washed and look spiffy for the time being. some of the cans i've seen wouldn't even clean up. well, imo, clean up. lol it would look better if they just left the can part out there. also, i forget who's social media i saw it on, but along with paving part of the first lot, TC was closed. anyone know if that was just yesterday, or is it down for some kind of maintenance?
  2. i've had a pass for years and since i've never used a discount day, never paid attention to them. i looked on the app, and online at my passholder page and couldn't find them. i looked through my old emails from knott's. last year they were, April 28 - May 7, August 13, 20, 27, September 1, 2, 3, 4, 9 & 10. i got that from the passholder emails they send out. if there were more, they weren't in the monthly emails. which, btw, only were send from march - august. so, maybe they will be similar days this year, or not. but i couldn't find 2018 info.
  3. these are great. i want to say i've seen them before. might just be confused because of the style. i have bought a print from pursuit of thrills, and am very happy. just need to find a place to put it. oh, i also got the MF and Steel Vengeance stickers, which are way cool.
  4. yeah, those are the secret bathrooms. but i think the cleanest bathrooms are in panda express since they seemingly constantly clean them.
  5. here's the new membership options. https://www.sixflags.com/magicmountain/store/membership
  6. You're comparing a mall with hundreds of stores with the Knott's Marketplace which has like ten stores? My point is parking and accessibility. You can't compare the two. I don't know how California works but Washington requires notices to be on the actual location. I'd be surprised if CA wasn't the same. I'm never going to complain about more eating options...ever lol. Parking in California is always a little dicey. I think most people are used to it. Parking in Los Angeles is, but Orange County not at all. Especially Knott's, who, can probably run capacity at three restaurants in the marketplace parking alone. But, most of us know, the main target audience isn't the casual diner that's going to go to the marketplace just to eat, and, maybe they might be using one of the hundreds of other parking spots used for Knott's Berry Farm. lol
  7. i'm looking back at posts trying to figure out how these are even questions posted. Here, I'll save you the trouble. So right now they have two sit down casual restaraunts in CDR and TGI Fridays plus a couple other food outlets. Making Virginia's a restaraunt would make three. Im just quedtioning the nessecity. you're right, my local mall has like 12 restaurants. so stupid, i think 2 was enough.
  8. so the notice saying it was going to be a "general eating place" is just posted for no reason or what?
  9. i'm looking back at posts trying to figure out how these are even questions posted.
  10. the rare, and i mean rare, times i've left the lift exactly with the other train, it's been way off. it's designed to duel back and forth i think 3-4 times. when it was new, if you left the lift at exactly the same time, you were exactly, side by side going up the double up. that hasn't happened to me at all recently. so there's some friction somewhere. weight, bearings, wheels? who knows.
  11. had a marriage on TC this morning. http://ktla.com/2018/02/22/australian-couple-to-get-married-on-six-flags-magic-mountain-roller-coaster-thursday/
  12. I was gonna say something, but didn't bother 'cuz it doesn't bother me--the W is totally an upside-down M. Design choice or...? that's got to be a bad design choice, or the sign company mistake and trying to pass it off without correcting it, imo.
  13. but will we get new trash cans in the car port? maybe even solar powered self emptying cans!
  14. just a small warning, i didn't look last year, but normally, the week of WCB is often when Ghostrider is down for maintenance. the last WCB was the refurb year, and it closed the day after i believe. but i'm pretty positive in 2014 and 2015 Ghostrider was closed during WCB. hopefully, it will be open this year.
  15. Ahh, yes, sux flags answer to all problems....trim breaks or more the answer to poor designs.
  16. doesn't surprise me at all. you just need to look over at batman. what's kind of interesting to me is, baynum painting has done a lot of their coasters. some, like X2 still great 10 years later. but then batman is flaking. i wonder how many different types of prep and paint you can choose from? i see where they just look like they pressure wash the ride. to me, there's no way doing just that will last that long. especially if a ride is spewing grease and what not from the trains over a long period of time. anyway, i'd hope there's some guarantee there for riddler. that's far too fast imo to be flaking no matter what. 8-10 years, i can understand more.
  17. SFMM X2, Punch in the head, Green Lantern, Punch in the nuts. Knockout!
  18. i drove by earlier and was surprised how many cars were in the parking lot. hope xcelerator opens up while there is still some ghosttown days.
  19. LOL, very true. well, i haven't ridden it since it's gotten bad. long time ago, before you were born, it was pretty fun and smooth.
  20. Okay gotcha, sad to hear the resort is open again but the coaster is not. The day of my visit was Sunday, December 3rd, I've been out of the loop since then. i stop there to go to the shopping outlets. i knew it had been closed, but was driving by and saw cars, so decided to go see if it was open. everything looked normal. so i'm not sure how long it had been open when i went. might have been the day before for all i know. lol
  21. Buffalo Bills was open in January. I stopped by just to see if it was open, and look around. It was dead inside, but also a weekday. Arcade was closed but all lit up. I think at least one fast food place was open near the Desperado. Not sure what they are renovating, i guess the rooms. the casino looked like i had remembered the last time i was in there. I usually never stop in but was taking my sweet time driving into vegas. they still have the same exact shirt from when it was new. i probably owned around 5 of these 20 years ago. lol btw, sorry, i also have no information of when it might be open.
  22. shoot, i thought ghostrider was still going to be closed on friday. i was thinking about stopping by but thought it was only going reopen starting saturday.
  23. I rode Scream about 2 weeks ago in the front outer left seat and can confirm that it’s still extremely rough. Like I’m talking Viper rough.... Oh, I rode it about 3-4 weeks ago myself. It is still rough. Actually for me, more of a constant chugging. But I felt it was way, way worse before the new trains. I am glad you feel the same... there's a lot of people out there who seem to feel it's smooth. Granted, everyone has a different experience, but aside from the opening year or two, it's always been rough to me. I don't get that many rough B & M's, but that was one of them. i went about a month ago. worst most rattle filled ride i've ever had on it. one of the two repainted trains. upgraded is only good until the first wheel goes bad. back row. one ride was more than enough that day. no head banging, but my ride was the definition of the B&M rattle if there ever was one. that day was headache city. scream, rattled my brain. then worse, apocalypse's torture, then the big one hit on X2 on the final raven. should have just stayed with TC that day.
  24. if it's a ghost town day like i expect, it won't matter. the only thing i'd think about is if apocalypse is closed, just don't waste walking over there at all.
