i think the fact that there are what, 4, in the whole world says a lot of how great a coaster it is. and also that there is a design for an updated version with seating like the free flys out there.

You also eliminate the factor of unpredictability. every time i've gone, without fail, i've also had to deal with the unpredictable weather. that's always killed a number of hours from my visits. fastlane makes up for that.

Thanks to me there is an array of stolen phones at all the places.

unless you go the last week of august, my 2 cents is to always get the Fast Lane passes. you'll get a lot of extra time to either, take in the entire park, water park, or re-ride everything. i can't see doing cedar point without them, especially when traveling all the way from So Cal. environment? weather? people? what ride to aim for first? the closest one. lol for me, i like to ride, ride, ride. for the big rides, i like to do them more than once when i'm near them. cedar point is a big park. i think it's like 1 mile from front gate to steel vengeance. so i think walking back and forth between rides is wasting time.

i just noticed they put the Peanuts comics back up on the construction walls. i wonder if they changed them to new ones. i'll have to go investigate.

yay, back to ghost town weekdays for a bit. dead this afternoon. still, Ghostrider's line was about 20-30 minutes. everything else was a walk on that i could see. oh, and i haven't ridden Ghostrider in some time because of the lines. it's holding up pretty good. i can't really say it feels any different from when it first reopened. so that's good. some more pics of Hangtime... the gift shop looks like it's nearly ready for paint. i like the care taken to prep, primer and paint the short fences. i'm curious about the section between the sky cabin and the end of the coaster. seems like they might be able to fit some small flat there?

looks like they took all the Snoopy comics off the walls. obviously that means it's opening tomorrow!

Universal is the king of soft opening/technical rehearsals. i remember transformers being open way early. then they did a passholder special day where you got to ride once. uh, but a couple weeks ago i marathoned it like 30 times. even if may 18th with no soft opening, hopefully, that gives the following week before labor day for some fairly dead crowds before getting into summer.

i saw it. then i saw someone post what she posted later. something about coming up and touching her daughter.

ghostrider feels so much better at night. to me, it's like how the beast is so much better at night than the day. xcelerator is down for the week.

i've stopped by twice this week. it's been crazy busy. when i drove up beach monday and saw people walking from the dirt lot on la palma, i knew it was going to be packed.

i also like superman for what it is, but rarely ever ride it because the line is often too long. anywhere near the entrance of the building is long for me. i need to just ride on a ghost town day. Yeah I agree, that queue is miserable and slow moving since they rarely run both sides..anything other than a few train wait is too much for me. oh, let me also add that, i can wait, but what often makes the wait worse is, if it's a hot summer day and you get stuck near someone, or a whole line of people, with end of the day BO.

we have some stucco. on top still needs more. lower section could be done. not really sure. looks ready for saturday! I'm guessing the surfboards will be attached to these posts.

i also believe intimidation is a factor here. maybe it will be worse with a camera strapped to your head? lol two of my friends i go there with won't ride it. you don't realize how stapled you are until your ride, and that many more drop rides are much scarier than drop of doom.

few pics from today. gift shop looks ready for stucco. more progress on handrails in the station. main queue in the center looks finished. the north side needs some work. all the lights seemed to be installed. i couldn't see any bare areas of the track.
