  1. ^ The classiness is what makes American Eagle American Eagle. I think American Eagle is more of a local icon than a major coaster for coaster enthusiasts. From my perspective, it's that roller coaster you really should ride when you go to SFGAm because it's a classic Americana-style ride (even though it's not American-made ). When I went last year with a few of my sister's friends, they told me how much they hated American Eagle and how rough it was and all, but they went on it because it's a classic. I don't think it's meant to be a "great" coaster. It's just supposed to be notable, probably locally. At least that's how I see it - others could see it differently. Personally I really like American Eagle - it's not an "amazing" roller coaster and it's not on my top 10 wooden coasters, but it's a ride I enjoy every single time I ride it!
  2. Here is my definition of a roller coaster: -It must be a car/train that runs on rails or in a trough. (This eliminates water coasters and water slides) -Other than the lift hill, launch section, etc, it must be powered by gravity (eliminating Powered Coasters). -It does not need to be a full circuit. -The station can be anywhere. -The cars themselves must not have motors/other systems to power them throughout the course of a ride. That's my definition of a roller coaster. I think it might also include Zamperla Disk'Os, but I'm not sure how a Zamperla Disk'O works.
  3. I noticed the other 3D model in the background of the second picture... On the trains, great job and great detail! Tons of little mechanisms and parts and everything!
  4. ^^ and ^ I would say the same except I have already been there numerous times, hahaha! But it will make me go again
  5. I wonder if these restraints can be used on Intamin inverted coasters too!
  6. This is great news! EIGHT more sites! Are every single one of these amusement parks with roller coasters? (I know Japan, Dubai, and South Korea are), but what about the rest, like in Orlando? I know there are Lego playground-style locations located around the world (there's one in Cicago I know). Maybe a few will be those... I wonder how this is going to turn out! Sounds good so far!
  7. I am personally against smoking, but if people have to smoke then I think designated areas are okay.
  8. I remember the President of Uganda stated that science proved homosexual orientation to be a choice...NO IT'S NOT!!!! I did not choose to be gay, I mean Imwas born gay and I'm gonna die gay! I never chose it. Two people, Travis Nuckolls and Chris Baker asked a question one time: "When did you choose to become straight?" People didn't, they don't choose! I know i'm just stating the obvious but a lot of anti-gays like the Ugandan President don't realize that.
  9. Why did they not use the original layout and scare the crap out of everyone earlier?
  10. I know I'm not a good graphic artist, but I was in a weird mood yesterday and decided to draw this. It's called, "Raging Bull Gets Relocated to Heide-Park" Don't question my logic
  11. I like the whole 3-across thing! I like how Zamperla is thinking outside of the box and trying to break the stereotype!
  12. Wow, that's a creative idea! Great start! Will the lap bars be able to lock/unlock? Out of curiosity
  13. Here's my list : Illinois: Batman-the Ride Indiana: The Voyage Ohio: Magnum XL-200 Minnesota: Spongebob Squarepants Rock Bottom Plunge Michigan: Shivering Timbers Pennsylvania: Thunderbolt Virginia: Alpengeist
  14. ...and drops like a drop tower! So maybe it's a Drop Tower nerd, not a coaster nerd, but still.
  15. When you think about it, who cares if Goliath is wood or steel or anything?! The only things that matter are: -It is an RMC Coaster -This most likely means it's a good coaster With those two things in mind, it doesn't matter to me if Goliath is wood or steel! Six Flags Great America needs a good coaster like Goliath, and I'm proud it's coming here, wood or steel!
  16. ^ Hahaha congratulations! I am so pumped for Season Three! I don't think this will happen, but I think Insane Coaster should feature a classic, older coaster, like Cedar Point's Blue Streak or Phoenix or something!
  17. I agree! At first I was so confused, but now I really like the new look of Goliath! It looks less like a stereotypical wooden coaster! If the track is steel than it's a steel coaster. If the track is primarily wood, then it's a wooden coaster in my opinion. It's all about the track I CAN'T WAIT!!!!
  18. Crystal Wings and Expedition Everest have fantastic theming! I also really like Verbolten's scenery and the Flight of Fear coasters, although I don't think they're the best. The worst scenery is Pirate's Hideaway at Casino Pier, haha! It's just a building with some cheesy graphics, which is not very smart.
  19. I wonder why construction wasn't going as fast such as in late 2013!
  20. Good pictures, although a very sad update since demolition pictures are always sad (well, almost always). I do wish, for charm, that they kept at least a few of the rides, like the drop tower.
  21. My favorite inversions are the zero-g rolls on Raptor, Alpengeist, and Batman-the Ride, the corkscrews on Dominator, and the two vertical loops of Kings Island's Vortex.
  22. Such a shame. This looked like a good coaster and a good park too! I hope Premier Rides doesn't give up on their Drifting coaster concept!
