Gardaland Discussion Thread
yay101 replied to Rockman89's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I don't think that is the layout, especially if it was seen around SheiKra's rumors. Plus, I have no evidence supporting this, but I think Gardaland will get one with three cars, not two, especially because Krake has three, and since Gardaland is owned by the same company as Heide-Park, it would make sense to me. Personally I am hoping for something more extreme, maybe one over 200 feet and with a few inversions and a splashdown. -

Remember this was just a prototype, a small piece of track section used to show proof of concept, a production model would be huge. With those large cars and I-box track I would think this coaster would be massive in size. I love that this actually looks like more fun than a classic 4D coaster, yet will surely cost significantly less to build and maintain due to the simplified mechanics. I know! I think the prototype, though, would be appropriate for an indoor amusement park! Although the capacity would not be that good, I could just see somewhere like Nickelodeon Universe or Galaxyland or something getting one! I'm not saying it's gonna happen but I'm just saying, that was the first thing that came to my mind. -

I really like the new paint job for El Condor! White and jade green never really appealed to me... Now I really think Heide-Park needs to something like this too, lol! They have four (I think) coasters with the white and green color scheme... -

I can see an indoor park getting one of these! That was the first thing I thought when I saw this! -
Santa's Village AZoosment Park Discussion Thread

^ I don't think if we've been talking about getting a new coaster, they would give us a teaser for a log flume. I think it's a coaster, hopefully a Gravity Group Jr. Woodie. However, I do think AZoosment Park could use a log flume! It needs a good, well-themed water ride! Whatever the new ride may be, I do hope it will have some good scenery, not like a Disney ride, but hopefully a theme or story-line of some kind! Given the choice between the two, I would take a woodie first! But that's just me haha -
Happy Valley Shanghai opens water park.

Great report! This looks like a great water park! I like the Mayan scenery for the water park! Actually I don't think the colors for the Mach4 look bad! I think not only could this water park use some speed slides, but I think it would be great if this water park built a "themed" tube slide which integrates the Mayan theme into the actual slide. That would for sure set it apart from most water parks! -
Noooooooooooo I'm supposed to be going for Physics class in March or April and Goliath won't be open then! Oh well... Actually I'm glad Goliath construction and everything is going well! Even though we all prefer speedy construction, I'd rather they take their time and make everything just right rather than to rush the construction.

What are some loud rides and coasters?
yay101 replied to JFrombaugh's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Finally! Someone who agrees with me!! I also think Raptor, Steel Venom, Mantis, Wicked Twister, Raging Bull, Superman - Ultimate Flight, and Batman-the Ride are all very loud rides. There's nothing wrong with loud rides at all (in fact if I'm walking towards the coaster and I hear it, it pumps me up a lot), but I'm just saying, they're loud! -

That's a lot of space, so I don't think a flat ride is going there. I also don't think they would give us teasers like this about a family play structure, so a coaster... -
You have no idea how excited I am for Goliath now! At the same time just looking at this area of the park is so awkward for me. I know it has been gone for over two years, but I'm so used to seeing Iron Wolf being located by Spacely's Sprocket Rockets. I mean I'm glad its gone and is being replaced by a record-breaking ride, but it is hard to get used to!

Those are great pictures!! I honestly never paid as much attention to SFOG as with the other Six Flags parks, but now that I look at it it actually looks like a really good park! I especially like the Mind Bender entrance; I've never seen it before! You did a good job!

Woah didn't expect GateKeeper hahaha... Yep Great trip report! I love the GateKeeper segment at the end! -
I'd rather an Interactive Dark Ride and a Return of Bugs Bunny National Park (Scrap the Go Karts!) I agree! Bugs Bunny National Park was SFGAm's best kiddie park in my opinion! I was so sad to see it go. Honestly, I think the best places for a dark ride are the Southwest Ampitheater and Kidzopolis, because of space reasons (a dark ride will not work well in the Go Kart's location). ^I don't think those are inside the tunnel. I think those are for the turn-around before the brakes, but I'm not sure.

I actually agree with not rebuilding the castle! My logic is that the new castle will not be as good as the old castle nor as iconic. It needs a new icon, or maybe a new ride, but it needs to be ionic. -
If that's what you're going by, Scream is also gimmicky since it's a floorless. Personally I think that while a floorless coaster is very gimmicky, I don't think it is as apparent as a inverted coaster or a shuttle loop (even though it is very apparent). It's gimmicky but not as much as inverted coasters or shuttle loops in my opinion.
-
I think Scream should go to Six Flags Over Texas. The reason I say that is because it would appeal to people going to those parks. Also, SFOT needs a good, solid looping coaster. Its two major coasters, Ntag and Titan, do not go upside down, and Mr. Freeze, Batman, and Shock Wave aren't "enough" when it comes to loops, and Mr. Freeze and Batman use other gimmicks (being inverted and being a shuttle loop) to characterize the ride. There needs to be a coaster that characterizes multiple inversions, if you know what I mean. I'm not sure where Scream would fit but I think SFOT is an ideal park for it.

^ Lololololol Of the coasters you mentioned, I think the Gravity Group Jr. woodie is the most ideal. Gravity Group Jr. Woodies make great rides and they appeal toa ll audiences. It is something they should do, and it is a good way for AZoosment Park to gain more public attention. I also like idea of an X Coaster, since it's fairly cheap (the one at Magic Springs only cost $4 million, which isn't a lot compared to other major coasters) except that may be a little too thrilling for the park's guests considering the park is geared for children. In order to attract more crowds, they need to get more families, and an adult coaster is not a good option for AZoosment Park.
