The op's will assist you in locking your restraints on all other coasters and Barnstormer, LR is the only exception. My ride buddy is of a larger size, he doesn't fit on Mystery Mine, but get's squeezed in on the others by the op's. I do it for him on LR, the whole reason i was pondering why they don't in the first place. This has been what I have seen as well.. I have seen all ops on other rides push down the bars if anyone needs help.. just not on LR where they actually say they aren't allowed to help.. I was planning on heading to Splash Country tomorrow but might postpone that trip to Wednesday so that I can also swing by Dollywood and see if the mansion really has been torn down. I just find it hard to believe they would have done it in a week when the park has been open constantly.. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk -

That's odd if it's tore down already.. it was just there last weekend! And the parks been open pretty much constantly.. I'd hate to see that old house go Dollywood won't look the same without it! But if they tore it down already they must have BIG plans for that area It's time for a dark ride at Dollywood.. all rumors, including a zoning permit, says that Six Flags is putting in a justice league ride and those are said to be on par with Disney Style dark rides.. so it would be nice if Dollywood could stay on top of the game and get a nice dark ride as well Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk -

Season Tickets for 2017 will go on sale during Smoky Mountain Christmas this year (buy a season ticket during Christmas event this year and use it then and all next year) Price depends on the version but $100 - $150 without splash country As for coasters during Christmas, I'd shoot to go in November if you don't want them to close.. late December it usually does get to cold to run the coasters at night. For those planning trips to Dollywood, keep in mind they are now closed on Tuesday for the next few months.. starting next month they close Tuesday and Thursday Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk -
After all these years people still use that excuse after over and over the park itself stating there'should no height limit....back to my rock One last thing If we get a coaster next year it's going to be something unique. Every coaster that sfog gets is unique except for batman that was a clone I believe the FAA rule in Atlanta is 250ft. Back in 2014 they tried to lower it to 150ft.. Wouldn't that have been bad! Also the original purpose of Six Flags Parks where that cities could have their own local park.. The majority of people that frequent Six Flags Parks are locals so to them I don't believe clones are an issue.. A lot of them probably don't even know they are clones.. I would say 75% if not more of Six Flags visitors never visit another six flags park. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

Really? Every time that I've been to Dollywood (about 20 times in the last 6 years) operations have been very solid. They have never been the quickest, but they've never been slow. They are usually solid but LR has strange policies compared to other rides at Dollywood.. They treat it like most coasters are treated at Disney.. "show me your seatbelt is locked" "push up on your bar for me so I can see it's locked. I can't touch it" stuff like that which slows them down IMO But yeah I am surprised your seeing it being slow on other rides.. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk -

Everytime I have ridden it the stacking was due to people not being able to get the restraints down far enough. Dollywood can't help you put them down (why Idk, they do it on other rides) so people are always fighting to get them down further Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk -

Unless your in lot F, most of the tram stops are definitely closer than the preferred parking lot ha-ha. That's a steep hill and even without the hill it's a long walk (not super long but still long). now F has some slots far away but for the past few weeks F hasn't even been open unless it's a Sat.. at least when I am there Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk -

How little? It's a steep climb uphill from the gate to the preferred lot. If you're talking stroller age, I'd go regular lot and get there early, or spring for valet. Most tram stops will be closer to your car than preferred parking Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk -
My experience with Batman is that a sensor causes one train to become stuck in the station and the other on the brake run.. it's happened to me twice! Once for over 45 minutes.. very hot day when that happened but they kept bringing us little cups of water which was nice. I was stick on the brake run.. they where about to go get a small step ladder and let us off but finally got the empty train in front of us on the lift hill so we could come forward and get off Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

Interesting that a ride op has to ride with single riders.. anyone else notice this? I wonder if that helps keep the restraints from getting stuck or if they are trying to keep everything balanced And no there was never a little drop there The moving of trains around really sounds like sensors.. I do a lot of work in sensors (Not for coasters of course) and almost sounds like they where trying to get something to engage Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk -

Dollywood doesn't have it listed as closed in the app for wait times.. it's not even listed anymore but that is probably a good sign! Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk -

It's because I ripped them a new one in the customer satisfaction survey they sent me last Friday [emoji14] that's the only reason it's open! Ha-ha jk Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk -

First of all, we don't know "what was not delivered" at one point in time someone had mentioned a maintenance guy saying "it was just burning through tires and brakes faster than they thought" if that's really a true statement (I am not saying it is) that means RMC may have delivered their part and now Dollywood is trying to find a way to reduce maintenance cost and this has nothing to do with RMC at all.. Again, no one here knows the issue.. RMC might be done and it has NOTHING to do with RMC at all.. it might not be an issue with the launch system at all A few weeks ago someone mentioned sensor issues, I believe this was Dollywood itself.. if that's the case it might have something to do with the software (again not an RMC issue but an issue with the software programming) With all that being said it could be an issue with RMC I believe at this point it might be coming down to a few things.. we have seen no activity for weeks so my thoughts (not saying these are the issues but) 1.) They are waiting on parts (due to the recall or just waiting on sensors or parts in general) 2.) Dollywood feels maintenance is going to be to high so they are trying to find solutions to lower maintenance cost (I draw this from the possible statement saying it was burning wheels and brakes) 3.) Dollywood doesn't know what to do about it yet and they are back in planning stage.. this could be why we haven't seen any activity 4.) Dollywood maintenance is just swamped being the busy time of year and they are just trying to keep other rides open and those are the first priority Again who knows what the issue is, I just hope they can come up with a solution Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk -

There were times in June and July where the ride was open "normally". The entire queue was open, no staff controlling it, etc. Ran 2 trains all day sometimes... It still broke down like every hour, but most of the time a reset and test runs and they were back open without closing the queue. The whole thing is still pretty disastrous though. Hope they get it figured out. I still think it's in their best interest to try and get it open this year or else they might have a lot of unhappy pass holders. I rode it a few times in June and the entire queue was open but did close three times while I was waiting in line like the other poster said.. they closed the ride and the staff came down to say "maintenance has asked us to clear the building. Feel free to line up outside".. there may have been days when this didn't happen but it did happen several times in June when the ride was listed as open and did run most of the day. This was when it was open for most of the day without issues but did go down for an hour here and there Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk -

There where several people waiting outside of it last night looking hopeful to ride., I have no idea why.. no ride ops where around for it, no one was working on it.. lights off.. it was pretty much locked up and dead as could be last night. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk -

At Dollywood again tonight and the chicken truck was open! I love that truck.. I was bummed it was closed when I was there Sunday ha-ha Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk -
That sucks. Instead of SFOG running half the train, they should shut down the ride for a few days for some repairs so they have time. I belive more people would complain if the ride was shut down completely. In a few more weeks six flags will go back to a weekend only schedule.. that should give them time to make repairs before Fright Fest and Holiday in the Park. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

The weekend they ran both loading docks there was a safety trainer there working with the staff training so that may have been the reason they had both open.. it was opening weekend i believe or thr first very pretty weekend of the year. As for not running many trains when I am there, I am very local so most of the time I go about 2 hours before closing and make a quick loop and eat.. basically they may have all 7 trains running earlier in the day BUT not when I am there haha Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk -

Sorry your day was not that as awesome as most Dollywood days are. Regardless of how busy the park is they seem to usually run 7 trains on Mystery Mine, which is very frustrating because they only use the first loading dock and have the second closed, so once you finish your ride you have to wait for 4 or 5 other trains to unload/load before you can get out. I love Dollywood and the ops are quick but having more than 4 trains on Mystery Mine is pointless at the moment. I go almost weekly and my past few times there thy only had about 4 trains going on MM lol. I was just surprised to see all 7 on such a slow evening.. I was there a few Saturdays ago (very busy day) and they had both loading docks going then. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk -

I was here today! Made one loop around the park, hit all coasters in under and hr and half.. wanted the Chicken truck but it was closed Lots of technical problems all over the park though! Wild Eagles music wasn't playing the speakers were just popping.. none of the characters talked in blazing fury and the sounds in other parts of the ride could barely be heard.. of course Lightening Rod was closed.. Surprisingly all of mystery mine was working great! Even the fog at the beginning! First time I have seen that fog in a while.. they also had all 7 cars running on it, I guess they had planned on a busy day.. it wasn't very busy All in all good quick trip but it would be nice to get their speakers and audio fixed in places!
