So essentially Dollywood just took the technical rehearsal sign down at the front gatr and took it off their site but sounds like it is still in tech rehearsal.. I can see this really upsetting people if it ends up being closed a lot for entire days! Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk -

Doesn't seem it took them long to get it back up and going though.. from your post it seems like it was down less than an hour? Not bad! Hopefully it doesn't start rumors that it's unsafe. It's normal for launch coasters to have the occasional rollback Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk -

Yeah I find them very accurate. Not as accurate as Disney but Disney actually uses real wait times that they determine by giving random guest little cards to hold while they are in line. I find Dollywood much more accurate than six flags Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk -

It being Friday and the Rod Run being this weekend and next week I wouldn't expect it to be empty very long today.. on Wednesday, even LR was a walk on. I'd expect crowds to pick up later this afternoon The one thing that might help with crowds a little is that the TN Valley Fair also starts tonight so that might keep a few people away Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk -

I thought the same at first ha-ha but no you could actually see it drip oil from the front it looked so fresh lol.. also, in the fake air intakes on the front, one of them has what looks like some oil sensor in it or something.. I don't even know why there would be oil in the front.. It could all be theming but the oil is very fresh and like I said, you could always see fresh oil drops lol. So if it is theming it looks very real haha Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk -

Exactly I wouldn't consider bugs all worked out just yet.. yesterday was weird, they would put ONE single rider in the very back seat but that was it.. second row to back row always seemed empty, at least the three times I rode it.. while it was a walk on, there where always enough people to fill and entire train. If there where no single riders, the back two rows where left empty.. The middle two rows where also blocked. I never went back to it later in the day to see if they every fully opened the back seats or not. Also there where about 3 workers in the main bay working on the second train while I was there.. mainly working on wheels it looked like.. they would pull a wheel off, bring it to the table and do stuff with it then take it back to the train.. Seems like the trains leak a lot of oil from the front!! So much so, they have put a metal pan down of front with cat litter!! Anyone know why there is even oil in the front of the trians? Edit sorry I just saw you guys are talking about the Tennessee Tornado train and not Dollywood Express [emoji14] That's what I get for just skimming on Tapatalk.. I do know the Dollywood app did say Dollywood Express was still closed again today as well.. it's been down for a few days so I assumed that was the discussion ha-ha Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk -

Yea I've never seen Tornado run two trains during the week, it never needs to, but even then you could always see the other train on the track in the storage shed right before the lift hill. I didn't see it at all, so maybe they started early rehab on it?? When I visited the park back in July, the second train was still there. Not sure when they took it off, but it sounds like it happened more recently. That's my guess because I've seen past times where that train would disappear before the season ended. Who knows. Sorry for the double post. I asked all of the ride hosts about this today. Apparently every 2 years they send a train away for a full rebuild. Obviously take this with a grain of salt, but that was the 'word on the street.' Not 100% sure this is true as I have always been told they do all their maintenance and rebuilds on site.. they have a full train yard that can rebuild every part on the train.. Plus they have two working trains (#70 Cinderella and #192 Klondike Katie).. I know Cinderella is having issues but they where using her some last year. Dollywood has no need to send their trains off for a "rebuild".. Unless by "sending it off" means leaving it in the Dollywood Train yard while they rebuild it there on site. If Cinderella is down again I guess they could be doing a rebuild on Klondike Katie but I feel they would save this for the off season I'd imagine there is another issue at play here and that both trains are down right now and they are working to fix one or the other.. with Cinderella not doing so well over the past few years if their main train goes down they don't have a backup. They actually have a third train but it's in parts still and of course their forth train is on display off the main parkway in pigeon forge.. its a different sized train so it doesn't fit on the tracks at Dollywood Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk -

Now that it is two train ops, do they still have rows blocked off? In the photo the train looks fairly full but I do see that one empty seat Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk -
