Same, we did it a ton during Smoky Mountain Christmas at night when we were the only people on the train. The ride ops even took a picture. lol Same here! Thats when I got all my rerides. I guess I just get the grumpy old people when I am there at night lol Last time I even went to guest services and was told that was the policy.. I was upset BC they literally ran an empty train and when I got back up it was another empty train with me and my GF on it lol Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk -

They have never let me. They always say you must get in line again even when the line was empty.. I have asked asked and asked. I always rip them on it when they send me surveys to fill out to ha-ha Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk -

They actually let you stay on Mystery Mine for rerides? Dollywood is usually so anal on their no double ride policy that they will run empty trains before allowing you to ride again lol without waiting Of course you can always get off and get in line again Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk -

I noticed local radio (mainly b97.5) has ramped up Lightening Rod promotions using actual commercials for it.. Good sign hopefully Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk -

It has always opened on opening day in years past. I always go several times in March and the last few years it's been closed on the days I visit.. Could be temperature related but I never get to ride it until early April. I just assumed they never opened it until early April I have always found that weird as all the other water rides are open in early march even on those days I tried to ride Slidewinder -

Yes, it was running and had about a 30min wait. Good to hear! It's been down my first two visits this year I love that ride, it's about the only thing I ride in the carnival area -

Slidewinder has always opened later than other rides.. Usually in April so I'd imagine it'll open fairly soon!! It's a shame people don't know about slidewinder.. It used to always have long lines! Ha-ha years ago! -

I thought they said "their job was done and they where dismissed and not the reason for the delay" So maybe they have turned over the keys -

I was at Dollywood today, mainly went for pizza as both my Girlfriend and I where off.. Park was dead but pizza was good.. Got a few walk-on rides on mystery mine and fire chaser.. It was fun for the two or three hours I was there.. It actually ended up being very nice from 5 - 6 and I believe I even got sunburned ha-ha.. -

This is my answer. I feel the same way you do.. To the GP they look fine with RMC and I personally feel the are.. But anyone on here that says "no it won't" or "yes it will" is simply speculating. Now, if this drags out and RMC doesn't get it working correctly it might be a different story.. I feel RMC is a better company than Hess was so I personally feel RMC will get it right Dollywood has taken a lot of flack not getting this open on time so we don't know what's going on behind the curtain.. But my opinion at this time is no, it won't hurt Dollywoods and RMCs relationship -

You know and what's strange is that Wednesday used to be their or one of their lightest days.. Sounds like another record day!! Hopefully they where planning on it today unlike last Wednesday when they had 17,000 on a 7,000 day lol.. I might be heading that way tomorrow as I'm off again we will see! -

Yup had fire last week.. It was fine the day I was there but the day before it had gotten stuck on the brake run after the first small hill.. It's Mystery Mine so if it goes down its down for hours it seems.. But it was fine last week on Thursday! Both the fire and TV on the lift where working -

Here in Knoxville, I know producers from 2 of the few major networks and ads can be pulled with very short notice. I also worked short time for scripps network. My friends told me it's all computerised now so in theory he said they can have it pulled in about a minute.. Of course it does take longer because the request has to be put in, someone gets the request and does the pull and so on.. But he said it can easily be pulled in under a couple hours usually less than 1 hr.. Eitherway, not defending Dollywood, but people should still research your trip fully before you go.. I hope Dollywood does pull the ad today though Or better yet I hope Dollywood decided to open it today! One can wish -

Exactly.. It's not false advertisement or anything (there are laws that protect places from marketing mistakes) BUT it could cause people to come to the park bc of it Now if they buy their tickets online they should see the banner.. But again, Dollywood does a lot of their tickets sales from the windows.. I can see it upsetting some.. But people really should fully research their trip before going.. I do, and do, and do.. I'm usually checking the site of all my planned visits nightly until the day I leave.. It keeps me excited haha -
At times last year they had two trains running.. I was very surprised and didn't believe it when I saw it on here as a few weeks before it was in parts under the coaster.. Someone even posted a rumor that they brought the other train in from somewhere.. Idk, it was only early in the summer when they had both trains.. Early last year it was in parts under the coaster lol

Maybe it's a sign it will open very soon like tomorrow!! I doubt it but one can wish I plan on being there again Thursday this week ha-ha. I'm at the park weekly now it seems -
I started staying at the Wingate last year.. I'm not a hotel snob so I used to stay at super 8 up beside waffle house.. It was cheap but usually clean.. However, the Wingate has won me over.. Plus the Super 8 was dragging down my "free night average" on hotels.com.. This is the main reason I changed.. But I also like walking back to the hotel whenever I need.. Very convenient.. The walk is actually shorter than the walk from the parking lot Even the Wingate drags it down as most of my hotels are for the beach and Disney but the Wingate doesn't drag it down as much

Also if it does start raining fairly steady and attendance is low THEY WILL close.. Happened to me twice at six flags last year.. Once they closed fairly early at like 3 in the afternoon (it was a dead Sunday) and once during fright fest they closed about 8:30 at night on a Saturday.. (Was supposed to be open until 12)
