I don't really care what it is, as long as it is built by B&M. Ohio needs more B&M's! However, if they built something like Skyrush with those trains, I would be happy with it being Intamin. It is by far the best Intamin I have ridden! The trains really make it so much better. I feel as if it had normal Intamin trains, I would not have enjoyed it as much. OMG!!! B&M giga + Skyrush trains = me fainting. Just saying!

I don't think it is going to be a dive coaster. The footers where the maintenance area looks to be going are not wide enough, unless it is the 6 across trains. I am leaning toward B&M giga on this one.

If I am not mistaken, Diamondback track started showing up in the park around this time. It is possible that the track will be dropped in the lot, then transported to the site. Once the season gets closer to an end, more track usually shows up. I have not been out to the steel plant lately, so I do not know what is going on out there.

My sister has a similar problem. She had her last injection the other day. About 5 weeks ago, she and her kids went to KI with me. She rode Beast, Racer, Flight of Fear, Flight Deck, and Stunt Track. The rides did not hurt her due to strategic row choices. Not to mention the fabulous job they did on the retracking of Beast! Row 5 on a 3 bench wooded coaster like Beast and Racer, and the first car on steel coasters.

I go to Kings Island quite a bit, and I have not heard them talk about the park on the train. Yes, the train does take you to the water park, but it is faster to walk. (and less crowded)

If you go right to Cheetah Hunt at opening, the line will probably be 30 minutes or so. I usually grab my All Day Dining wrist band first, then head over to CH. I have gotten in line with a 30 minute posted wait time, got off, looked at the wait time and it was over an hour. Check the website for the annual maintenance schedule. Get the All Day Dining Deal. This is what I suggest to anyone visiting BGT for the first time: Redeem All Day Dining wristband, then head to Cheetah Hunt. Afterwards, hit Montu in the front. Then take a short cut through Edge Of Africa, and head up to Congo. After Kumba, head over to SheiKra. After about 2pm go BACK to Montu, and get the last row left hand side!

Another thing I was thinking about is the fact that the current isn't very strong. I could not imagine what would have happened if the current was a bit stronger. I mean, even though the boats float, there is a "track" of sorts with cross ties beneath the boat for stability in the channel. Not to mention the moving parts of the lift, or if another boat was dispatched behind this one. I agree that they were fortunate that this accident happened on near the first lift, as opposed to the second lift.

You can not use other park cups, (even though they are Cedar Fair). However, if you purchase a KI cup, you get free refills all day on the date of purchase.

I hope you are talking during Haunt when they act like the train breaks down, and everyone has to walk back through the woods.

I disagree. The only Intamin that has completely blown me away is Skyrush, which is way better than any of the Intamins at the Point. Anything the park adds, will have to be a "game changer" for the park. KI is happy with the capacity, and reliability of Diamondback. Why wouldn't they go with B&M for the next addition? Also, Cedar Fair pretty much confirmed at Gatekeeper media day that the next Cedar Fair coaster is going to be a B&M.

I don't think it is going to be a wing coaster. The supports of what appears to be the train maintenance area do not make sense for a wing coaster. The area is not long enough to house 2 trains one in front of the other, and it is not wide enough to house 3 trains side by side.

While B&M was contracted to produce The Incredible Hulk Coaster, Universal produced the launch mechanism in house. I believe The Beast was designed and built by Kings Island.

After Diamondback was announced, I have a dream that after the MCBR, transferred onto a very large Hot Wheels track. The next 2 hills were jumps, then it went back to B&M track. I have had a dream before where upon exiting the LONG tunnel before the second lift on Beast, we were transported to another land. No talking animals or anything. Very strange in deed!

The place where the sticker is, is not painted usually. Also, Zack, could that be a photo of Gatekeeper? I think "WI" in the number on the bottom means "Wing" for "wing coaster". Reason I think this, is because Chimalongs(sp?) Dive Coaster had "DM" and a series of numbers. DM = Dive Machine KI could be trying to throw everyone off.

It is the same track that I posted about earlier in this thread that was the same everything as FOTR. AS of this past Friday, there was no other track to be seen from view of the road without trespassing.

^ That track has been there for a couple months now, and in the same exact spot. I was just out there this past Friday. Nothing OBVIOUSLY new happening at the plant. Not saying that there isn't any track inside the building, which there could be.

The first time I rode Forbidden Journey, I had one of those moments! What are those things without faces called? One of those genuinely startled me enough where I actually let out an "AAAAH!" I'm the one with glasses. No coasters scare me like that. I mean, I giggle like a school girl at a Beiber concert, but am never taken by surprise on a coaster.

I love that about Montu actually. It kind of meanders a bit, then dives to get a burst of speed for the corkscrew finale. Montu makes my knees weak! BEST. INVERTED. EVER.

I didn't think Chang-O-Lantern was bad. Actually, I thought it was quite enjoyable, and better than Mantis. It along with many other B&M's I have ridden have the newer restraints. It's a different material. Perhaps vandal proof. If you know a rattle is coming up on a B&M, brace your head against the OTSR. That works for me at least. I was able to ride Flight of Fear when it had the OTSR's, and it was the same experience you described with Joker's Jynx. My worst coaster experience is the awful transition on Vortex on the turn right before the vertical loop.

^ Correct. It is blocking. I have ridden Beast when the second block was clear. The lift does not slow down if that is the case. Once the train reaches the top of lift 1, it slows to a crawl as it crests. The cresting crawl, is not a blocking reason.

I have a great sense of humor. I actually think it is funny that the person made that statement about the "inside joke" and did not know that it was a true story.
