  1. I guess those two towers would be HUSS towers. They probably reused the one from Ferrari World and added another one here.
  2. It's the same thing, but I bet you want to experience -1G on a roller coaster instead of hanging yourself upside down, right?
  3. Flying ANA to Japan in June. Anyone tried their flights before? How was the experience?
  4. I don't see how a B&M wouldn't be as marketable as an Intamin? Um...Intamins are simply better? I agree that B&M is too safe for the competition in Orlando especially SWO already has a flyer. SWO needs manageable innovations so Intamin is the right choice when going above 200ft. They have plenty of experience and they don't do the same thing over and over again.
  5. Hope Phantasialand and Intamin can find out where the problem is. This could've been worse but they are lucky.
  6. ^ How about 129 degrees? Beyond vertical lift.
  7. ^ Back then there wasn't any regulations on how much force a roller coaster is allowed to pull. Stengel was getting the statics from astronauts and use them on roller coasters. 6.5Gs might be a lot for most people but for astronauts that's probably nothing. After Stengel established the safety and force regulations, his designs don't pull that many Gs anymore. Thriller might be a part-experimental project when he was still exploring so pushing 6.5 is understandable IMO.
  8. It's like Leviathan/Kingda Ka- World's longest brake run; Desparado- World's fastest air gate; Chiapas-World's fastest switch track/transfer track; Dodonpa- World's strongest trim brake etc; Fury 325-world's heaviest lift chain etc. They can't find a selling point so they forced steepest lift hill into it. But you know it's gotta be good when it's an Intamin!
  9. Does this mean something? Premier Ride's Facebook post
  10. Yay! New pictures! Photos from HAPA-Forum's Facebook.
  11. If they are going for steepest lift angle between 0 and 90 degrees, they still have those S&S Saxophone coasters to compete with. It's nice to see another record breaker! A high quality looper is exactly what UAE needs.
  12. Looks a bit too much to handle, but still would love to try it out!
  13. Noooo we can't lose another Uncle Anton masterpiece! Maybe some other countries that don't have a good coaster and can afford to fix and operate it will be it's new home. Thriller going back to Germany is a bit impractical.
  14. Looking forward to see what it will be, Mack has some products that would work great at BGT. At least the Intamins on the other side of the planet are still happening.
  15. Great job getting it done so fast! The two Gerstlauer projects started very late but both have really fast construction.
  16. 2.2m does seem a bit too tight for this. What about drive tire launch?
  17. Looks like they are using 6 cars Tivoli trains on this one. Clearance doesn't look too tight I think.
  18. I'm guessing "payola" is a big part of a Chinese safety inspection. Oh yeah, big big part. Also they can just choose to not let you pass because they are the boss. Polar Explorer came to mind, the ride was perfectly fine and passed all the safety inspections but they just don't let it open because they think 26 cars is a lot.
