  1. Hey Jurassic World seems to have banned selfie sticks!
  2. Okay if you haven't booked Jurassic World's tickets, RUN!!!!! Seriously the best movie ever! 9.6/10 ------------- ------------- SPOILER ALERT, but I'm sparing the good moments so you'll still be surprised. ------------- ------------- ------------- 1. Hey look, no selfie sticks! 2. If you think Merlin is running their parks wrong lately, go watch this! Jurassic World is operated worse than most of the Chinese city parks! 3. Employees should always wear safety devices when doing their works, that way they won't fall into a cage full of Velociraptors. 4. What happened to the "two is one, one is none" rule that every engineer follows? 5. The park seriously is going down with or without Indominus Rex. Only 26,000 visitors and that place is already packed like Magic Kingdom on a summer Saturday. Have they learnt nothing from Geauga Lake??? 6. Gyrosphere, oh my god! 26,000 visitors and already has a 2.5 hours line; guests are waiting right under the sun; Entrance sign that nobody can see from the monorail; ONE LOADING PLATFORM?? Only one employee at a station; Intern operating the main panel without assistance; No broadcasting system at the station/queue line; No emergency broadcasting system installed in the cars; Cars are dispatched without safety check; Seat belts brings down the capacity even further; Horribly trained operator that can't even handle a temporary closure (well, supposed to be); No auto drive mode that collects the cars back to the station; Jimmy Fallon comedies that distracts the attention of riders; An average height 16-year-old can almost touch the moving parts of the car; No gravity detection device to keep the seats upright; The only safety device can be opened during the ride; etc etc etc. Geez find a reliable manufacturer! 7. They invested $26 million on the Indominus Rex but can't even erase its memory of the tractor implant? 8. Again, the whole place just screams low capacity to me! Also the water park is way too small and has rides from the 1980s So many good things to learn from Cedar Point yet only picked that up huh? 9. T-Rex, Velociraptor, Spinosaurus and human can be friends! 10. They should never use electric weapon that only works on velociraptors to handle Indominus Rex. 11. So many reference to the first movie! So many great memories! 12. They've added Mercedes-Benz, Coca Cola, Starbucks, Samsung and more to the movie, but not in an awkward way like those terrible Transformers movies. 13. Yeah I watch a bit of New Girl, so I always want to laugh when I see Jake Johnson. 14. Hey when guests are sitting right under the sunlight in the Central American heat, go sell them water, soda, electric fans, ice creams and Slurpee!
  3. Phantasialand knows exactly how to make choices.
  4. Has petitioning to fire her happened before? How did it go?
  5. One week to go!
  6. This is way too rude to Merlin! http://www.snappytv.com/tc/628458/157163
  7. Forget about the lap bar people, I'm very glad Smiler has those OTSR's because they saved lives. For a crash like this, not only OTSR's can keep the riders' upper body from violently moving forward, a lap bar like those on the other Infinity Coasters is going to dig right into the rider's belly and cause probably immediate death. See how bent the floor of the first car is, the hydraulic lock devices are at the very front of the car so that's the first thing that will be pushed back. I actually think Gerstlauer will make some modification to their future Infinity Coaster trains and start using the DDD style lap bar again.
  8. Great update Andy! Can't wait to ride Lightning Run hopefully this summer!
  9. It's like they don't even want Disney to go well because they are the boss. I hate this about our government! Disney goes well=more tax, even a 5-year-old can get that right? Just when you think your government has passed the whole communist crazy intense and conservative phase, here it comes. It's no worth dealing with these crap, Disney deserves much better than that.
  10. That really doesn't sound good for the park. I'm so glad Gerstlauer Infinity trains are able to stand that strong of a crash without crumpling the riders at the first row or derailing. Given how fast it's going at the bottom of the bat wing (I'm guessing at least 45mph), it could've been much worse.
  11. It's at the bottom of the Bat Wing, the first train is going quite fast when they crashed.
  12. That's horrible! I feel so sorry for the injured rider.
  13. San Andreas 6/10. The 6 all goes to the fantastic CGI. Just feels like they want to make it smart but ended up kind of funny-stupid. Come on, how can a student who asks if it's possible to have earthquake at CalTech even be allowed in CalTech?
  14. I'll be watching the local premiere on 10th! Dinosaurs!!!
  15. NTaG isn't Gerstlauer's fault, loose bolt on Smiler is more likely a construction error. Gerstlauer just happened to be the victims as well. They make high quality rides with the most advanced safety devices on the market. It's just superstitios to shut them off because they were involved with a few accidents lately.
  16. Oh this thing just keeps getting better and better!
  17. I agree with the guessing that it might be in manual mode when the second train entered the block due to false operation. Even Golden Horse knows how block system works. Given how advanced block system has become over the years, designers at Gerstlauer can't design a system that can be easily failed or get tricked by a passing foreign object.
  18. Such a shocking news! Hope the injured riders will recover from this tragic accident. While it looks like an error on the control system, let's wait till a full investigation points out where the problem is.
  19. What about El Toro? 12 million for the best wooden coaster in the world with great capacity. Seems like quite a good deal to me.
  20. I was reading the most expensive coaster thread and doing some research about coaster price tags. When I found out Parrot Coaster is only 13 million plus the insane tax of China, I think it is a great deal for such a good coaster. Are there other coasters that you think have excellent values?
  21. My first ride on Wild West Mine Train when I was 7. Back then I thought inversions are the scariest thing then the airtime on that thing got me real good. Outlaw Run first ride, back row in the dark. I didn't know airtime can come in sideways and during twisting! Parrot Coaster first ride. You expect a B&M snooze fest then it turns out to be a monster...
  22. My condolences go out to the family of the rider. This really is terrible news.
  23. Crystal Wing costs around $64 millions back in 2006.
  24. That twisted airtime hill immediately followed by a dive loop with airtime
