  1. Great job RMC and KK! That trick track double up seems nice. Definitely getting a season pass next year!
  2. Dodonpa is not painful. It's just that you've heard so much about it and how Fuji-Q builds up your anticipation is making it so much scarier. I admit I was really scared by it but it's not really THAT insane, definitely much more powerful than Intamin launch coasters though. My choice is the same as zottewef81, Dodonpa has the best launch and Maverick is overall the best.
  3. I heard from people in the area say it's a Golden Horse. Highly doubt SEGA is that cheap but I'll try to find out the truth.
  4. Carowinds did a great job marketing Fury as the tallest Giga coaster, 95% of the people think it's the tallest coaster in the world! Someone can build a 299.9ft coaster and say they've got the tallest Mega coaster in the world.
  5. In China, a guy comes out and pushes the coaster with a long stick. It's actually a child that does that in China now. That's my job when I was 8!
  6. There are four rectangular supports at the bottom of Steel Dragon 2000's second helix.
  7. It's great that they have a lot of land for future expansion. From the proposals the park seems a bit empty but that way we know there will be a lot to come. As for traveling, people are taking bullet trains. Road trip isn't that big in China.
  8. I use to be able to stand the SLC roughness until I rode the one at Nasu Highland. Then Nio at Mitsui Greenland is even worse. SLC surviving position is to push your head against the restraint as hard as you can. But on these two, if you do so, you'll get headache from the shaking OTSR; if you don't do so, your head will bounce between the two sides violently.
  9. Thunderation's helix. That's very forceful for a mine train!
  10. One of the most thrilling coasters in Disney sounds quite good. Has Disney marketed any of their coasters like this before?
  11. From what I know, hydraulic launch is very reliable. Intamin's system is more due to the other moving parts. LSM makes the most sense to me, if the heat of the fins won't cause any problem on the wood. Am I the only one who thinks that ShotRod sounds pornographic!?!?!? Well this is the park with a coaster called Thunderhead. The name still makes me chuckle 10+ years later. Now you're making Mystery Mine and Tennessee Tornado sound dirty as well.
  12. They would probably be competing with Zamperla on the roller coaster market. Lower class than Gerstlauer and Zierer but still decent quality.
  13. RMC is always pushing the envelope so it's only a matter of time before they do a launch woodie. Dollywood is very possible since the rumor has been there for so long. Question is, will it be on I-Box, Topper track or a new track style?
  14. Taron and Wildfire. Can't make a choice. Kill me first.
  15. Tokyo Sky Tree, Falcon's Fury style 8-rider-cars with 2 fake drops. Seats tilt back between first and second fake drop.
  16. On Dinoconda and Eejanaika, if you sit at the inside seats, you can touch the restraint release button with absolutely no problem. Don't know about X2 though.
  17. There must be a great view from up there. Love the design of the gondola as well. Did anyone see i305 in the title like I did?
  18. Nagashima Spaland's Looping Star. I put my hands straight up the first time. There's one support at the bottom of the first drop that's like 2 inches away from my hands, if I put my right hand a bit to the right I would 100% touch it. From this thread seems like Anton didn't consider about people putting their arms up on a coaster much.
  19. Great coverage! Next time I'll do your route instead. Ours was quite exhausting with 3 parks and Fukuoka night adventure. That boat ride looks slightly better than It's A Small World!
