  1. Those are really low capacity and with a park like HW where their attendence is increasing every year, they might want to purchase something that has more than 2 cars per train.
  2. It shouldn't be the parks responsiblity to look over your child. I mean...its your child! When I have children in the future and we have our yearly Coast-a-thon, I know for a fact that I will keep a firm grip on my kids hands because I always think about the worse thing happening. It seems to me that you didn't plan this very good. What you should do is get your kid some kind of bracelet, necklase or anything else of that matter and write your cell phone number on it so that if they're lost, they can go up to someone and that person could call you.
  3. I agree. The most disturbing part was how he spent 3 weeks in a pump dead! I mean...for those 3 weeks, guests have been swimming in contaminated water! You would also think that they would check the grills on pools to make sure they are safe and not rusting. Also, how big are the grills? This one had to have been pretty big to suck a 14yr all the way into the chambers.
  4. I guess i'm lucky to be living in the suburbs. I ran to the 24 hour walmart early saturday morning(like 12:30) and the books were right there...it didn't even look like anyone had bought any. The walmart was empty also.
  5. Its the Villain from Geauga Lake...its being relocated there.
  6. It's actually a Custom Coasters Internation woodie.
  7. I agree. IMO, use the Corkscrew coaster and have a cutback instead of the turn out of the two brakes. I mean, Togo standup with RCT2 is really hard to design perfectly(IE keeping the intensity levels down).
  8. The beaches? I know Lake Erie is nasty but Headlands Beach is always packed when i'm there.
  9. It's really really hard to build parks from sratch now a days. I mean, it would of worked back in the 60's or 70's when parks were starting out but now its a lost cause. I mean your park has to be REALLY special for someone to consider going to it. I mean, why go to WWW when you can go to WOF for a bit more money and maybe a longer drive but get a FULL park and also a waterpark. I mean, it seems like parks built in the late 80, 90's and today run for about a year before their closed, with the exception of Universal or Disney where they can afford losses like that.
  10. Every flat in the book? Where'd you hear that from? We have Chance Inverter, Huss Topspin, 1001 Nahts, Himalaya, Pirate Ship and a Wipeout. IMO, we lack ANY decent flats. WWK is the ONLY waterpark in Northern Ohio besides Soak City and the soon to be closed Pioneer Water Land. No. Being a waterpark and a ride park is what will save this park. Dude, the waterpark isn't anything new. We had the concept with the 80's and you can't tell me that since the old water park was built in the early 80's, that was what was saving GL. Actually, only enthusiasts say that Villain is crap. Almost all of my friends LOVE Villain and the only thing they know about coasters is that they run on tracks. They never retracked VIllain, they replaced the trick track and did some work on the bottom of the first and second drop. I hardly ever hear anything bad about that coaster except when I read posrts from here, TN, CB etc. Did you forget that CF ripped out the animals, pissed off alot of union workers and discoutined the parks most popular event? You can't tell me that after all of that, you'd expect to see 2.5 million. Fact is, Geauga Lake could be perfectly fine. CF is holding it back by taking out rides and not replacing them with anything but a wooden fence or a cornhole game. I mean, the parks coincided for almost 100 years and GL was lingering at 1 Million guests back in 99.
  11. Don't forget about the shortened season, the lack of Haunt, the shortened hours, and the increase in in park pricing.
  12. I hope to god that Kinzel leaves. He's whats really killing Geauga Lake and we need a new face in charge.
  13. I think its an elevator that brings a mechanic up the lift and brings passengers down(I think I saw it in a Sherika video on youtube.)
  14. So I was wondering, how do riders get off of the lift hill in case of an E Stop or other emergency? Unlike B&M Inverts, SLC's don't have the extended catwalk under the train: B&M Invert: SLC: I hope you understand what i'm asking.
  15. I heard that CF is implementing a mandatory seatbelt rule for everyone entering the parking lot at any one of their properties.
  16. Refreshing Look which was a huge and popular Geauga Lake/SFWOA fansite before its demise.
  17. You can hear the same shuffle that you hear on Villain. At least this gives SOB a trademark roar that can be heard from all over the park.
  18. Wildwater Kingdom was supposed to be much bigger but with anything CF starts...when it's finished, its far from the renderings. WWK was supposed to be like the "BE ALL" of all parks and we were so excited to see what was to come...but hey...they did pretty good with what they got and I agree, they DEF need more slides. Speed Slides is what their really missing along with the Surf attraction.
  19. Dynamite looks really unrealistic for its time. No coaster in the 70's featured a half loop. For the realism, you might want to make it a double looping coaster.
  20. Seems like Amusement Park accidents are starting to become more and more common nowadays.
  21. God, ever since his crazy antics with Oprah's couch and the Matt Lauer attack, people have been hating on him.
  22. Anyone have a TV Mom that they used to, or still have a crush on? I liked Florence Henderson for the longest time for some odd reason.
