Um...more like lack of any notable attractions. Wow cool CF built us a brand new waterpark that has less water attractions and of course we were jipped out of a whole phase. Should we praise them? CF could of invested in some flats but you know...a 20 million dollar half-assed waterpark is obviously where its at. I mean...its going to be open for like what? Half the season... -

Mabey if CF cared to add a ride here or there, the locals would of actually gone...no one wants to ride the same thing over and over then come back and find out that the ride was removed... -

Cleveland still has two great alternatives...Waldameer and Kennywood! -

WHAT??????? What is your basis to speculate in this manner. Kennywood hasn't exactly been an acquisition based company. Except small parks that wouldn't canibalize KW If Geauga had not been purchased by CF, it would already be a new housing development and/or strip mall. Im pretty sure that if Kennywood bought the park, they would of sold off the "Wild Side" and keep the current ride side operating...Don't act like Kennywood wouldn't be able to turn a park around. -

I wonder why Dick thought "American Cornhole" was the solution to the problem...I mean...did he expect to see 1-2 million guests a year after flooding the park with that game? pfft... -

I give the waterpark two years before it becomes "Wildwater Towers". Honestly, the waterpark is a shamble. How are you about to DEMOLISH the ride side and add no viable improvement to the waterpark? I mean they already half-assed the waterpark and now their taking away another asset. Sad really...CF went from being a premier company in the early 2000's but now after the Paramount purchase...they really went down the hole. Not all is bad...I'm hopping Kennywood really advertises now. They already took one of GL's big providers of discount tickets and passes(Giant Eagle)...it won't be long before Kennywood becomes a household name. Just look at it like they lost some competetion... -

I went on a Sunday in May, and it was pretty dead. We did wait for that crappy SLC, but everything else was walk on. One day, of course, doesn't say much about the big picture of how strong attendance was for the season. I couldn't imagine why the rides side would have good numbers this year. There just isn't enough to do there, and it gets really nasty in the heat with nowhere to go to escape it. This chased me right out of the park. I think the park could really use the following: 1) Sally shooting dark ride. 2) GCII woodie. 3) Gerstlauer Eurofighter. 4) Several more medium sized flat rides that are not run in wussy mode. , It wasn't till late June that Saturdays started to get really busy. Attendence is def up and im 100% sure. Even the employess that post on the GLT forums noticed an increase in attendence. -

Attendence is far from "down". I'v been driving past the park every once in a while on Saturdays and the parking lot is full. I mean Thunderhawk was running both trains and they were both filled. It was actually a 15 min wait one day and the midway was packed. -

Attendence has been up. I haven't seen the midway so full since the SF days. Thunderhawk and Villain are actually sending out full trains and that hasn't been seen for a long time. Anyone who doubts obviously hasn't been there this year or went on a weekday/rain day... -
Why is it that like 90% of bi guys say they like guys more than girls? I haven't met any bi person say they like girls more than guys

What are the teens supposed to do? Don't even suggest going to Cedar Point cause most of my friends don't have an extra 80 bucks to spend on gas, admission, parking and food. Why do people think that Family Park is only for little kids? -

Um no? I could see it as a business decision if it was a different coaster like RWB's but how is it a business decision when you remove to star attractions? What is there to market anymore? Obviously cornhole isn't as popular as they thought and Wildwater Kingdom is really a public pool with a slide complex... -

Don't see why you would move Thundehawk from a family park to another family park and say that you want to focus more on family's. All in all, The Dick will most likely refer to the relocations as a "business decision"...that seems to be his catch phrase when mentioning Geauga Lake... -

If they have...then they would of know how GL was full of flats...I mean honestly, saying Silver Bullet was the only flat missing from the old Permier days dosen't say much... -

I consider Kennywood my home park. Of course were talking about Pre Preimer...have you actually been to the park before it was owned by Premier? Gone are the Flying Scooters, Rocket Ships, Music Express, Tilta-Whirl, Paratropper, Rotor, Fly-o-Planes , Round Up and Sky Glide... -

Did you forget about the abundance of flats that used fill the 50's midway? Hey, Six Flags was able to brings people into the park...for some reason CF just has a hard time doing that... -

I guess you should of reminded them of that before they touched SOB then, huh? How many rides at Geauga Lake that broke down were repaired and reopened? Why spend the money repairing a ride when you can demolish it for half the price and replace it with a "Guess Your Weight" game? -

I find it funny that the parks have conincided together for the past 100 some years and all of a sudden CF can't bring in guests...obviously something is wrong here and it isn't GL... -

That "taking the park back to the tradional family park" is bull. Geauga Lake before the SF era had so much more than it did now. You might as well remove Villain and Headspin and forget about them fixing RWB's because CF thinks its cheaper to just demolish a ride than to fix it. That leaves Double Loop, Big Dipper and BLMR. Honestly, they should bump the price down to 15 bucks next season because paying 26 for 3 rollercoasters aint worth it. The local fairs have more rides than Geauga Lake does...I dunno, CF is the worst thing to happen to the park. Deny it if you will but it is and its all Dicks fault. If Cedar Point ain't bringing in the numbers that was projected, it must be because GL had an increase and that simply can't happen...
