Six Flags America (SFA) Discussion Thread
RCF replied to Mind Eraser's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
They put a lot of good work in the Mardi Gras section. Good music, good rides, great theming, and a superb bar. I watched the entire World Cup final at the bar. The entire park is clean. Only thing they need to do is get rid of that Subway, and put a Louisiana type restaurant in there. Popeye's. Easy enough. -
Six Flags Fiesta Texas (SFFT) Discussion Thread

It's semi controlled. Most of it is based on weight and gravity. For them to say 6 flips is false advertising as it can easily be less, MAYBE could get more with the right circumstances. -

If it's successful, yes. I originally thought a few years ago that ZacSpins would be the next Boomerangs, but there were a lot of issues that plagued the ride. If this ride can have a higher capacity, and get higher reviews, then I would think so. We also have yet to see any of the small Premier Shuttle Coasters (that's what I'm calling them) come to any other Six Flags park. I would have loved to have seen them around the chain as well. Hopefully we see S&S Free Spins go everywhere like what we are seeing with Premier Shuttles lately, even if it's not in Six Flags. They look like amazing rides! -
Like how Full Throttle will have a train go over the hill and one through the loop at the same time... I don't see this ever dualing after at least the first season. It even shows on the video how they aren't at the top at the same time, which makes me wonder WHY they would show that for a promotional video, and not have it go down the lifts together. You showed something impossible for Full Throttle, why not for Twisted Colossus?

I am actually highly excited for this addition. It's unique being a walk-through all season long for any park. Even better, it's with CLOWNS! I love evil clowns! -

I'm surprised to see this be the only Sky Screamer going in next season. -
Hansa Park Discussion Thread
RCF replied to Gutterflower's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I bet Hansa will have much better themeing, for sure. It just depends on when they are announced on which would be "better."Except nothing to us about Cannibal is a "Surprise" anymore. There's still a slight surprise for us, but we have to keep what we know secret, and we have no idea what Hansa has in store with Karnan. Either way, I can't wait to have this announcement. Does anyone know when their complete announcement will be? -

I don't think Black Stallion is going anywhere. From the reports, people still love the ride. Besides, I wouldn't ever see two coasters go at the same time. -

Good thing it won't be a Super Loop... Actually MA could benefit from one of those. -

A 4D Free Spin looks MUCH more promising than a ZacSpin IMO for the U.S. Elsewhere, would have to wait and see how it rides. -

They dumped $14 million on Patriot. $8 million on Prowler in 2009. Oh, ok. See? Point even more proven. We can see a small launched coaster like Zierer more than a big one like Mack. -

The problem with them is the cost. I don't think Cedar Fair would be willing to dump about 20 million on WOF. They dumped $20 million for Patroit. That was almost ten years ago now, and it seems their focus has changed on where they want to highly invest in their parks. When Cedar Fair wants to invest in the park, I don't think it would be another $20 million. -

It seems to almost be the European Cannibal. Just one could be smaller and have an elevator lift. -

I think a Zierer Launch Tower can work well at this park. It has a launch and can be a great looper with the right design. A mix of Wicked and Impulse could work extremely well. -
Notice the pre-drop....... Yes but how do they have the ROOM to DO that on colossus? It goes from the lift to the drop (we guess) well they could just do a pre-drop without the turn, then go almost vertically down. We know they are capable of ADDING to the ride with and without the current structure. Lets let our imaginations flow with this, can we?

California Great America (CGA) Discussion Thread
RCF replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Cedar Fair said this was a park they were looking to invest in. Granted, they received Gold Striker and the new plaza, but the information was given after Gold Striker was added, and a corporate park only receiving a new plaza doesn't scream to me as a huge investment. I bet we would see a new slide complex for Boomerang Bay or a family ride package like Gemini Midway, Route 76, and Boardwalk. We could even see a new family coaster come to CGA, which is needed!
