  1. ^^ Then I'm glad I never rode it with the old restraints. With the new ones, it's the worst coaster I've ever ridden.
  2. Both have a coaster named Patriot. Elitch Gardens and Darien Lake
  3. Outlaw Run. It actually operates. Potayto or potahto?
  4. That is so cool, thank you for sharing that! I love historical things like this.
  5. Goats on a Roof, or if you don't want to count mountain coasters, then Mystery Mine.
  6. Holy crap. Bar or package store? And I'm currently trying out the Sweetwater IPA. Very good, on the dry side, which I like in an IPA. We don't have this in the Ozarks, but I'm currently in Chattanooga, not too far from Atlanta, where this is brewed. One of the great things about traveling is trying the local firewater.
  7. ^ Ooh, get excited! It's a great park. After 3 amazing days at Dollywood, my next park is Lake Winnie on Thursday.
  8. ^ I agree with this here, and I'll add that Wildfire's observation deck has one of the best views of Table Rock Lake anywhere. Part of the reason I love the coaster is that the view is so beautiful.
  9. Fun read, thanks! I also got a photo of that rock formation and captioned it about like you did. It's just so...excited. KK is a great little park with some great rides and great staff. They have a solid foundation that they can build on for a number of years. I must be one of those who overrate Lightning Run.... I actually liked it better than Storm Chaser.
  10. I should say you ought to be disappointed. I for one can't believe they still have a dinning plan after they got rid of their only Dinn. What good is a plan you can't even use? Sheesh, Cedar Point sucks.
  11. Correct. To ride Blue Streak or Wicked Twister, you must have the Coastermania lanyard, but every guest in the park at that time can ride any other ride that's open, whether they are there as a resort guest, a Coastermania guest, or a platinum passholder.
  12. Well that narrows it down It's also safe to say it will happen in the second half of the year but before the final quarter, or otherwise some other time. Ooh, I think you're on to something here. Perhaps the announcement will take place on Earth? It might also be on another celestial body or in space.
  13. Glad to hear it's open. A lot of companies blame government because it's easy to blame government. People buy the excuse without question, just like "it's for security reasons." I doubt the state had anything to do with it at all, but the park didn't want to admit the real problem. Very good news about the special $10 pass. I do want to ride this, but I have zero interest in anything else there.
  14. It's art. "Tas de béton cassé" by Jacques Riche. Right now Jacques is just one of the construction guys, but that's to make ends meet until he makes it big. He'll be famous someday, and then who will ridicule his art as a mere pile of broken concrete? You'll see. One day you will all see.
  15. Awesome! All the way from Texas without a clue. Good job pulling that off up to this point. Have fun! I think you have a good plan. In my experience, Rougarou's line was short all day, so I don't think it's absolutely essential during ERT. However, if it were me, I would definitely do it early anyway. I know it's super reliable, but if it's one you want to ride and have never ridden it before, I'd make sure. It's practially right next to Millennium Force, so it won't take much out of ERT to go ride it. Front row for the smoothest ride, back row outside is always the go to for B&M's most intense seat. I think Maverick is the better choice, since TTD doesn't always open for resort ERT but Maverick does. I went to Maverick and rode it from 9 to 9:45, then ran to TTD at 10, when it opened with the park.
  16. Yes. Otherwise it looks just like one of those wave carousels.
  17. Last year the weather was beautiful on the Point while a huge line of storms went through just to the south. Had I been at Kings Island that day, I'd probably not have ridden much due to lightning. Lake weather is its own pattern, and it's hard to forecast. Don't worry about it; just go, hope for the best, and roll with whatever happens.
  18. Have fun guys! But that's a long way to go just for a photo. Better make it worth the trip and ride some coasters. You know, while you're in the neighbourhood.
  19. #22 is Wild Eagle. Great coaster, had a ton of fun.
  20. Very fun read! Thanks for taking rhe time to put it all together.
  21. Sweet! That's one I buy pretty often too. Helps that they're pretty new in the Ozarks and pretty aggressively marketing it here. You can almost always find it on sale around $7.50 per 6, $15 per 12, or $18 per 15 (cans only). Great IPA at a great price, so i keep coming back.
  22. Cool! You know if the updates will allow them to load more than 1 boat at a time? It looked like the station was built to handle more than that, but they don't use it.
  23. ^ Years ago, yes. And have fun at Splashin' Safari. It's the best waterpark I've ever been to. Do you enjoy Polish food?
  24. Thunderhead, back row, hands up all the way. Brilliant coaster.
