  1. That's interesting. I've never seen only half a wing or 4D coaster open.
  2. It may be that due to the long wait times experienced last year, they're restricting VR to early season when capacity isn't as great a concern.
  3. According to the park's website, shirt and shorts are okay on waterslides. Though they don't specify on the website, I'd stay away from denim and belts. If you have nylon shorts, I'd say you'd be good.
  4. Chill man. I mean, you gotta admit, knowing a manufacturer by footers alone is seriously geeky.
  5. That's a good point. Ferris wheels are a lot closer to observation towers than a drop tower is. A really gigantic Ferris wheel is a draw, and can be a standalone attraction too. No problem marketing those at all. Ask someone to name a London landmark, and they're as likely to say the London Eye as they are Big Ben.
  6. Float float I'm a boat. I said float float I'm a boat!
  7. Both are former Six Flags properties. Joypolis and Legoland Discovery Center
  8. Glad you had fun! But the log flume song is only for sh*tty log flumes. MoA's is definitely a good one.
  9. Yes, more Chickie's and Pete's! It's seriously one of the best things about Worlds of Fun. Even if this is just a crab fries stand, I will be happy.
  10. Great report! Looks like you had a wonderful time.
  11. Yes! I love observation towers and always try to go on one when I get the chance. #observationtowersareridestoo
  12. Man, you guys need to get out more. Go ride some roller coasters or something. Very excited for vertical construction!
  13. Oh cool! Checked the websites, and it doesn't look like Rowdy Bear will be open this weekend. Something to look forward to next time, especially that Mountain Glider. Looks like a coaster/zipline mashup.
  14. T- minus 2 days until we leave for Dollywood, and I'm finalizing some plans. We want to ride all four mountain coasters if possible. Some of the websites are more descriptive than others, so a couple of questions: - Do all 4 have double seats? My son would need to ride with me. - Are there any discount tickets available in the area?
  15. That's a...bizarre promo. I like it, though, gets the point across and sticks in your head.
  16. The park's first roller coaster was steel, decades before Raven. https://rcdb.com/12735.htm
  17. That looks ridiculous. This park was already a must do, and that amps it up for me substantially.
  18. We don't really have much of a plan when we go to SDC, so it would have to be on a trip... so probably Michigan's Adventure last year, day after Coastermania. It started raining heavily about 5-ish, and radar showed rain pretty much the rest of the evening, so I left for Grand Rapids. When was the last time you saw a baseball game?
  19. Here in the U.S., Republican and pale are synonymous.
  20. Yes, thank you. I meant Strangelove. But you are totally correct. The world suffered without any good horror/suspense movies until The Purge, though we did come dangerously close to a minimum standard of quality with Saw VI and Blair Witch 3: We Bet You Remember You Liked This Movie But Not Any of the Reasons It Sucked Anyway, I'm a fan of Stephen King, so it'd be cool to experience this. Looks like they've done it well, too. I enjoyed Walking Dead despite not really being a fan of this sort of thing. Universal just really knows what they're doing with haunted houses.
  21. Yes. Outlaw Run has been my #1 since March 2013. Have you bought a new pair of shoes recently?
