Is the park even open at night? I thought I read somewhere that it was closing by 6 or 7pm every night? And I would have to imagine if that's the case then most of the guests probably would have left by that time anyway so I can't seem them putting on a light show for a smaller amount of people who would have stayed in the park. And if they were going to do a light show, wouldn't it look better on the FRONT of the volcano where you don't have a giant ugly gaping hole in the middle of it? Seriously, I think what surprises me about this is that it looks really "unfinished" and I don't understand why so many people gave DIsney so much crap when you could see the exposed building of Expedition Everest (from the parking lot keep in mind, not from inside the park) but here at this "themed" water park it is being billed as one of the best themed water parks in the world, and you have a giant hole in the volcano and you can see all the slide structures, stair cases, etc? This to me looks like something you'd see in a Chinese park where the theming only goes half-way. Why does Universal get a "pass" on this, but people criticize and flip out at Disney for similar things? Like I said, I'll have to see what the final product looks like, but I guess I just expected more from how Universal was positioning this park as the be-all end-all of themed water park experiences. Absolutely 1000% agree.

I love the old commercials. It's amazing how much the strip has changed!

I saw Beaty and Beast and thought is was great. I liked some of the songs better than the original!

Haha! Definitely interesting to announce a new ride after it has already opened. -

Only 20 days until the park opens! -
I'll be picking mine up hopefully within the next few months. I missed out on the preorders and there's really not much I'd get up extra early and wait in line for. Can't wait to try it though!

Yeah, it does seem easier than previous events. I do like the theme, but it's been a really long time since they've had a unique update with a different style of earning things.

They mentioned, by not mentioning, Epcot, and with all the countries I'm really hoping we'll be able to build a nice little version of Epcot. I think they also expanded the land.

We just stayed at the Tilt last week. The location is amazing and super close to the entrance. Driving takes about 2 minutes to the park. Price isn't too bad given the location, and the cheapest price I found was to go directly to their website. The Choice Hotels app "best price" was $20 more than going to the hotels website. There is no breakfast, but the rooms were nice and pretty modern.

I saw Moana again and liked it more than the first time. They did a really great job with it. Also, I've been listening to the music more and I like it more and more. Not nearly at the Frozen level, but it's still a great soundtrack. Has anyone seen Passenger? I'm thinking of seeing that one, but not sure it's worth the money.

A ropes course off the side of the stratosphere would be amazing. -
We're going to see Motown in a couple of weeks. I've heard good things about it. Should be a good show!

That's a great view, and it was a great game!

Awesome reports! I loved Nagashima Spaland! I'm so glad they still have the Ultra Twist, the 1st generation free fall, and the shuttle loop. -
