  1. This development sounds incredible. 60 rides, when only 32 now exist. Themed areas, shade, RV park, hotel complex, even light rail. It sounds like a mini Cedar Point. That being said, I do not think that it would be a sound investment. I mean sure, it is in a great location for tourist traffic, especially during Mardi Gras. However, if something like Katrina were to happen again, the investment would become just plain debt. I think if a theme park were to open again, it should be pretty far inland to avoid flooding. Afterall, SFGAm has a nice Orleans Place and Mardi Gras sections.
  2. Do you realize there is much much more to the Wilderness than just the lost world?
  3. Raging Bull is still a great coaster. I agree, it isn't overly intense or thrilling, but it is really enjoyable. As far as hypers go, I still think Magnum wins! Hurricane Harbor is infact awesome, it just gets extremely crowded in the summer time. Therefore, we always make it a point of going there if the outdoor temperature is around 65 because then the water park will be empty. I can't wait to expand my Six Flags Repertoire to include Great Adventure this summer!
  4. I'm glad you enjoyed SFGAm! Yup traffic in Chicago sucks, but I can't compare it to CA because the only time I was ever in CA was to go to KBF on a layover to Australia...
  5. Looks like a pretty awesome little park!
  6. ^Strictly "Amusement" would be much more like Cedar Fair, Six Flags markets themselves as "Theme" parks, that's why SFGAm has parts called "Hometown Square," "Orleans Place," "Southwest Territory," and such...
  7. WOW! Looks so cool! It reminds me a lot of Indiana Beach.
  8. My suggestion for those budget travelers whom wish to still go to Disney would be to arrive a day or two early, and catch an RER(commuter rail) train to the Paris suburb Fontenay Suos Bois. Once there, get a hotel, for example, there used to be a Holiday Inn 300 ft from the RER station. That just so happens to be the line that goes right to Downtown Disney, from where you walk right to the gate. Then when you are done you take a train back into Paris and then to CDG, and catch the shuttle to that meeting place. Staying in a Suburb is much cheaper than staying at the resort or Downtown Paris.
  9. Will they feature a service at the front desk where you can re-mortgage your house to be able to afford your vacation?
  10. I am doing a research project for my ENGL 106 class here at Purdue on Dubai from an economic standpoint. I am still in total awe of what they are doing in the UAE. If anyone has any input for my essay and argument, please let me know, and I will be glad to share my project when I am done with it!
  11. I couldn't agree more! I went to CP without cargos once and put my keys on a keychain and the harness on TTD broke one key, but I was able to rescue it...
  12. Vekoma, if you recall all the various rumored lawsuits and such. If I am correct, and please correct me if I am not, Six Flags has not purchased a ride from Vekoma since 2001 when the 3 Vu's were built.
  13. Ok, so when did PP get OTSR's? I was there back in '01 and there were definitely lap bars and seat belts. No OTSR's.
  14. Although it looks AWESOME, the rides themselves look identical to Six Flags Hurricane Harbor in Chicago. I somehow expected more theming similar to TL or BB @ WDW.
  15. As dangerous as this sounds.... Royal Caribbean allows children (and adults) to use Seapass to purchase arcade credits. Seapass is then paid for by credit, so in essence you are playing arcade games on credit. No imagine if they implemented that for Slot Machines? O_o
  16. Six Flags Great America Six Flags Great Adventure Canada's Wonderland Cedar Point Indiana Beach Holiday World Kennywood Morey's Piers Atlantic City Boardwalk
  17. Well, it is the same type of coaster.
  18. I think I am actually going to get to ride it this year, too. I'm very excited.
  19. O.o I would hardly call Amtrak a Chariot. If it is anything like it is in the Midwest, you should be most worried about your life on the train, rather than on the coasters of Tijuana.
  20. I think the point was to be made around 6:18 of the video. There is loud squeaking as the rockets enter the station.
  21. ^ See, I don't think that is horrible. Why wouldn't you get a season pass because of it? Why not bring any loose articles in in the first place?
  22. I still want to know what the song in the video is.
  23. I have to agree with the no paying part. That makes sense. However, loose items should be stored prior to a ride on any roller coaster, mouse or rocket. Without a doubt this can greatly improve a ride's capacity. Especially since this ride will not have the ride vehicles stop in the station, there will be no time to stow loose items. This is my view on the issue.
