  1. Great photos so far! I'm excited to see the rest. I was cracking up when I saw the picture of your dad wearing sunglasses at night. lol
  2. Man that really sucks, I hope she feels better soon! For some reason I have never hit my head, face, or anything on Storm Runner once and I go once or twice a year. I think it's the best ride in the park. It is really smooth, fast, and forceful to me. I have it as my favorite steel coaster.
  3. Thanks for all of these wonderful updates Robb, it really looks like you guys are enjoying your trip! Sorry but I have a really dumb question to ask. On Furius Baco are there anti-rollback breaks on the launch? I didn't notice any in your video.
  4. Great video! Do you have any more pov's coming? I'm just wondering.
  5. This was my game plan that I had for King's Dominion the other week: First go right to Hypersonic at opening you should get on that and be off within a few minutes. Then go to Hurler, Ricochet, and Rebel Yell. After that head to Drop Zone. Then head over to Volcano, it will have a wait but is worth the wait. Flight of Fear is next followed by Alvalanche, Anaconda, and Italian Job. Then go back and get on Shockwave, Grizzly, and if you must, Scooby Doo and Taxi Jam. After this the rest of the day is your's to reride whatever you please. This plan worked for me and I was finished with the park in about 5-6 hours, but it was 106 degrees so everyone was in the water park.
  6. ^ Great video! You were so lucky with the timing of Storm runner.
  7. Personally I would ride Nitro first thing cause its a walk on the whole first hour of operation. If I had to chose between Kingda Ka and El Toro to ride first I would chose Kingda Ka. I believe Kingda Ka is the best choice because it can get long lines and is VERY inconsistent, but from what I've heard lately is is running great and launching trains every 45 seconds.
  8. 1. El Toro- Six Flags Great Adventure 2. Storm Runner- Hersheypark 3. Griffon- Busch Gardens Europe 4. Nitro- Six Flags Great Adventure 5. Apollo's Chariot- Busch Gardens Europe 6. Kingda Ka- Six Flags Great Adventure 7. Volcano: The Blast Coaster- King's Dominion 8. Medusa- Six Flags Great Adventure 9. Talon- Dorney Park 10. Alpengiest- Busch Gardens Europe
  9. I don't get it, how can the ride be just as fast with a slowed lift? Sounds like you had a great time! I can't wait to get back there this year.
  10. Sounds like the crowds were minimal which is great. How could Hershey let a tree branch come that close to a ride? That is just asking for a lawsuit. Hope the rest of your trip is fun.
  11. Strongest LIM launch- Volcano Strongest launch- Hypersonic Best launch- Storm Runner
  12. Sounds like you had a terrible time today. I hope your day tomorrow is a lot better and I'm sure it will be. Can you go into detail on what happened the second day, I'm curious because that doesn't sound like typical Hershey to me. Also, why does you mom hate Storm Runner?
  13. 2005: Doo Wopper at Morey's Piers 2006: El Toro at Six Flags Great Adventure 2007: Griffon at Busch Gardens Europe If you count my home park then, Hydra The Revenge at Dorney.
  14. ^Accually there have been surveying markers up for about a month in skyscrapers old spot.
  15. Well I hate to bring up an old thread but it looks like South Whitehall township has approved Steel Venom for Dorney. Here's the link, http://www.mcall.com/news/local/all-b2-5dorney.5912457jun25,0,5915459.story
  16. Hey the McDonalds by my house is just like that one, they just reconstructed the inside.
  17. Griffon, front row, on wednesday. It was AMAZING! picture from bgescape.com
  18. I was there on wednesday and all I have to say is WOW! This ride past my expectations by a lot. I got 4 rides throughout the day and the wait was only 20 minutes for 2nd and 3rd row and 30 for the front. Griffon has SO much airtime on the 2 drops and the 2 bunny hills. It really is a GREAT ride!
  19. This coaster looks AMAZING! It could defiantly end up being the best plug and play yet.
  20. ^^ I personally have never hit my head against the restraints on Storm Runner. I can see where people are getting this, but I have never experienced the headbanging. I am sure Intamin and Cedar Point know what they are doing by adding the S curve.
  21. Wow this sucks! I was really looking forward to the heartline roll, oh well. The S curve should be fun going at such high speeds!
  22. ^^When you say you get a little wet in the back row how much do you mean? Like a mist? Also, where do you get wet? I can NOT wait till this summer to ride this thing!
  23. I also have NO problems wearing contacts on coasters. Storm Runner is fine with contacts. Also, my mom has worn glasses on Storm Runner but maybe the ops didn't notice or something.
  24. That's awesome, I'm glad to hear it opened early! Just a few questions, how were the drops, inversions, wait, and did it break down at all?
