  1. ^^^Nice find! That's good to know that they are starting construction now. I would assume building a 5000+ foot long coaster takes some time.
  2. I still am amazed when people say that rides like Top Thrill Dragster are better than Storm Runner. Now assuming that Dragster is like Kingda Ka or even better I still don't see how it is better than Storm Runner. The ride has so much more than Dragster Ka. But this is just my opinion.
  3. Screamscape says it's back in operation.
  4. I really looking forward to see how this coaster turns out. If the trims aren't used or if the just "kiss" the train like on nitro then they won't effect the ride. The trains don't really appeal to me but there's nothing we can do about that. Also, I can't believe the 85 degree first drop! There is definitely going to be some amazing air on the drop!
  5. I start my Sophomore year in high school on September 4th. I'm not really looking forward to it but I don't really care because I get to see all my friends again.
  6. Do you mean Six Flags Great Adventure? Because The Great Escape is in New York.
  7. Awesome report! I feel the exact same way with Hurler! I thought the ride was awesome and one of the best wooden coasters I have ridden (even though I have only been on 15). The ride was smooth but had a good wooden feel to it, had nice pops of air on every hill, and has some sweet laterals. Your report make me want to go back to Kings Dominion right now!
  8. Sounds like you had a great day! I really want to head out there sometime since it's only a few hours away. Why is it a let down to sit in the back of Superman and where is the best seat?
  9. ^I can see how you would think Volcano's que would be like Flight of Fear's. I used to be afraid of heights but now I'm not. A few years ago I went to Dorney when I was terrified of height's, but I just sucked it up and went on the tall rides like Steel Force and that's when I got over the fear. I think you should just tell yourself that nothing bad is going to happen and ride the big rides, you will love them!
  10. Nice report sounds like you had a great time! It's a shame you didn't ride Volcano or any other of the parks great rides. When you say Volcano's line was out of the station do you mean it was just out of the building? If so that's only a 10-15 minute wait and Volcano is well worth that wait!
  11. I defiantly say go for it. Even if it does thunder and rain it won't be for the whole day. Also the rain tends to keep crowds away which means more rides on Toro, Nitro, and Ka!
  12. Nice update, I love the colors on this thing! Why didn't you go up to it for some nice close ups?
  13. Nice trip report man! I haven't seen much of Carowinds this summer. I really want to get out there some time in the future, it looks like a great park!
  14. ^Yea I know I was just trying to show how stupid it looks with all these different pictures the park is showing. I also forgot the launch.
  15. The pictures they are showing are just so funny. I can't believe it! So far they have shown a hyper, invert, and floorless. Maybe they are getting a B&M Inverted floorless hyper coaster!
  16. ^I'm not so sure going to Great Adventure on a Friday in the middle of July is the best time to go. I would try to go there Monday-Thursday. From what I have heard the park is mobbed Friday-Sunday during the summer. Besides that your trip looks very promising so long as the weather is nice. Have a great time!
  17. Man I can't wait to see how this coaster turns out! Does anyone know when the official announcement will be, and if there will be an animated pov? I would really like to see one.
  18. I'm sure it won't be a water coaster because Hershey already has Roller Soaker. If there is water involved it will be a splash down on the coaster. This is why I think it will be a Dive Machine but I'm also thinking it will be like Maverick.
  19. It's between Intamin and GCI for me. I have only ridden one Intamin (El Toro) and 3 GCI (both Lightning Racers and Wildcat), but I think I'm going with Intamin on this one. El Toro was just simply mind blowing to me while all the GCI coasters were just plain fun.
  20. I am still going with a hyper but it could be a floorless.
  21. I want to know where this picture was found. Anyway I hope it's taller than 175 feet. Maybe that is the second hill or something? I defiantly wouldn't say 175 feet being something Canada has never seen.
  22. I have waited 2 hours for Kingda Ka and El Toro.
  23. I just got an Idea that I believe would be pretty cool. What if the markings by Canyon River Rapid is for a water splash down on a dive machine? Just a thought.
  24. I'm changing my original thoughts on the new ride. I don't belive the coaster will have the most inversions in the world either. This is why, when Hershey announced Storm Runner they mentioned about "a perfect ten". I think this rules out the most inversions because they are just building on the last coaster. Also the "H" in Hersheypark on the sign on the Western Chute Out looks like and arrow pointing down. I believe this is a hint at a B&M dive machine. Man I cannot wait for the announcement!
  25. ^I don't think its all that weird because parks do it all the time. Hershey is doing it this year and they did it last year with the boardwalk. Also BGE did it with Griffon last year. So I think it's pretty normal.
