I would really like to ride thi ride, it really looks great. -
Griffon has some nice hang time in each of its immelmanns. Storm Runner has quite a bit of hang time in all three of its inversions. Hydra , it's not one of my favorites but it also has a lot of hang time in every inversion.

^They also might have just caught the ride on a good day. For example I usually hear people say that Hurler at Kings Dominion is a rough ride and people generally don't rank it to high. Now me on the other hand, I didn't find the ride rough at all and I thought it was a great ride. I probably caught the ride on a "good" day. That is why I ranked it as my 5th favorite woodie. -

CP_RULES, I am also a sucker for brakes. My personal favorite are Intamin brake fins on the rocket coasters. -
I would say Six Flags Great Adventure. I always hear people talking about the park being dirty, pulling in a bad crowd, and having bad operations. Never once have I seen the park dirty, it's been clean every time I"m there. IMO the park pulls in a pretty good crowd compared to other parks like Kings Dominion and Dorney. As for the operations, for the most part they are well above average, except on an occasion.

Interesting, but I'm not really liking the concept to much. I'll tell you one thing though, there definitely will be a lot of airtime on the drop. -
Waldameer Discussion Thread
yankees15 replied to Millennium ForceJZ's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I would love to head out to the park for a few hours this coming summer. I'm hoping for a Kennywood, Cedar Point vacation and I was wondering if I should stop off at Waldameer. I was thinking if I did go my schedule would be something like this. Sunday 6/15 - kennywood Monday 6/16 - Waldameer/Cedar Point Tuesday 6/17 - Cedar Point Wednesday 6/18 - Cedar Point Would I be able to go to Waldameer on a Monday, and get a few rides on Ravine Flyer II and a few rides on the other rides, if I get there at opening and left mid-early afternoon? Help much appreciated. -

^^I doubt Behemoth is going to beat out Millennium Force, Superman Ride of Steel (NE), Expedition GeFroce, El Toro, or Balder. I will be a great coaster but most likely not the "best". -
Suggestions for 500th coaster?

From what I experienced and heard this year Ka was very reliable. I was there on Good Friday and Ka opened once it the wind died down and it ran great all afternoon. I was also there on a saturday in September and it ran 4 trains and it was a 2 train wait for any row and 5 for front. The ride only broke down once and it was for about 10 minutes. I would say go for the Toro, Ka as 499 and 500. Both rides are reliable now and are both a great rush. -

^Yeah the seat belt thing is what I'm most confused about. I've been on Nitro and Apollo's Chariot and neither of them had seat belts. As far as I know, no other B&M hypers have seat belts either. Is that correct? -

Now I have never been to CW but I have always heard that it can get very crowded. I believe that the ride should have at least a que that can hold 1.5 - 2 hours. Even with the ride having 3 trains, the lines will be long. At SFGADV Nitro always has at least a 30 minute line and that is with all the other great coasters in the park. Also, I believe that the train having seat belts will greatly increase loading times. -

^^Awesome report, the ride really does look huge! I never noticed how close the second and third camelbacks would be together until I saw the supports. The ride should be amazing. -
Great trip report, I really enjoyed it! I really hope I can get down to Florida soon so I can ride all those great coasters. Also, I'm sorry to hear about your camera.

I would say if are planning on heading up towards the PA/NJ area, then you could make it one of these 3 rides. Storm Runner- An awesome Intamin rocket with a nice launch and great airtime. Kingda Ka- The tallest, fastest roller coaster. El Toro- Possibly the best wooden coaster ever built, and it does have insane airtime. -

^ I was just wondering because I remember you said Balder was better than El Toro in that video earlier this year. -

They aren't wasting anytime getting this thing up! I don't think the transition looks any different from any other B&M hyper IMO.
