  1. If you want to upload your pictures, simply upload them here. When you add a post, use the "Add picture or attachment" box.
  2. ^^^ What the are you doing in Tallahassee? Goliath @ SFOG in the back seat
  3. More pics, including "Spot the ACEr"!! Another night shot, this one of Georgia Cyclone Can you find the ACEr? The Slides of Death! Time for more Elissa Friendly food Unfortunately Goliath has a trim brake after the helix. Other than that, the ride has lots of air A few hints of home (and the old man!) Cool shot of Cyclone's lift Mascots were everywhere.
  4. ^^ You absolutely must. A million times better than Small World A few other comments about the park -Employees were generally friendly, and they had all the gates open in the morning. People were everywhere cleaning up trash, etc. Employees said goodbye at the exit -Basketballs - People were bouncing them all over the park. Very annoying -The R&B show - Good show, but way too loud -Parking was $15. A bit of a ripoff -Food was way overpriced, but that was expected -We did not ride any of the water rides. The splash boat ride looked weak -We will be hitting the park again today to get the 11th credit. Last train of the night in the back row on Goliath. Great ride Goliath at night Night rides on Mindbender in the front car He still has the scars We pay homage to Robb's shrine GASM has potential, but not airtime Erik shows the signature move after riding the Vekoma ride Doesn't it look beautiful? Deja Vu was running I wonder how much this sign would sell for Forget the 1st Gen Intamin, forget Acrophobia, forget Goliath. The Carousel's where it's at This must be why. Hey, Robb? SFOG's carousel has some history to it
  5. Here are some of my pics. I also have some video that I will try and post soon. I will be posting more pics (including some cool night shots) as I have them ready Deja Vu - It was working Mine Train - A forty year old Arrow. What else do I need to say? Mindbender - Rode this several times. Fun ride Batman - Short but intense Goliath - My first hyper. Lots of airtime in the back seat Canyon Blaster - A credit, and little more Scorcher - My first stand-up. Fairly intense Cyclone - Rode in the back seat. Big mistake! GASM - Yawn Ninja - Rode in the second to last row. Never again. Looks pretty though Superman - Will be riding on the 21st Where do we go for this ride? Acrophobia was a decent Intamin drop. The ride ops are trained well in "announcing" the drop As with every photo TR, here is something for Derek and it's not a vertical loop The stores also sell merchandise based on a dancing old man with a tux Six Flags sure knows how to stock its stores, especially with Ninja in the park We get sidetracked to Disney World I will be posting my train POV soon too Nice shot of the underside of Goliath Look at all the poor people who don't have Flashpasses! Signature shot! Here's some of the theming for Batman. So that's where Fantazy Land got their ideas from An Intamin ride! Another coaster The ride isn't very suprising for a forty year old Arrow First credit of the day! The mine train We stop off for some "Elissa friendly" food. Erik and I had Whopp..I mean Big Macs. Gas is much cheaper in Georgia Erik, Leanne, Darlene and myself set out from Gainesville. Here we crossed the stateline. The trip was made more bearable with my laptop and XM radio
  6. Welcome to TPR. It's best to post this sort of thing in the "Come in and say Hi" thread at http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=177
  7. After riding RnRC, I thought a few of Aerosmith songs work well with coasters, especially Love in an Elevator (Living it up when we're going down!) Tom Petty - Free Falling Led Zepplin - Rock and Roll Dead or Alive - You Spin Me Right Round U2 - Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me (sounds good for a Vekoma)
  8. Noticed a few things: http://www.bbspot.com/archives_links.html A page I visit daily. I had a limerick about donkeys and a few bloopers published on there several years ago. Shame on you Brian for crashing TPR! http://www.google.com/search?q=worst+theme+park There's also a link on Absolutely Reliable, of course. BTW: Are you still going to post the video, or do you not want to crash the server again?
  9. I'm not talking about the Shamu show with the whales in the ocean. I'm talking about the ones from Robb and Elissa's Sea World San Diego trip.
  10. Coasters: Screw Coaster Family Rides: Bench - The Ride The 'Shamu' show Themed areas: Rides on the Moon Fantazy Land
  11. Yesterday I noticed that one of the satire sites I frequent (www.bbspot.com) posted a link to Dubaidave's TR). It's gone from the coaster geek circle to the computer geek circle and beyond.
  12. * bump * ouch! Wes41190 wanted someone to bump this since the search is broken. And yes, I am working on a RCT2 version, complete with five (and counting) Boomerangs, including several Deja Vu's http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=24197
  13. Nice. The coaster looks like an Arrow/Vekoma, but it has lapbars and inversions Out of curiosity, do you draw all the graphics yourself or do you get them from somewhere?
  14. I guess you're new. Be sure to read the FAQ/TOS, so you will have an understanding of the way we do things here. Images are welcome, but try and scale them down so that they aren't more than 800 pixels wide. Also check out the 'stickies' in the Ask Alvey forum, so you can find out about Robb and Elissa, avatars, and such.
  15. Some of my favorites include Nara Dreamland ("There's the random fish!") Parque Espana ("We are on the Escalator Ride, the Escalator Ride, this is the coolest Escalator ride, do do do do do") Manhatten Express ("The [bleeping] Japanese suck!") Sea Paradise/CosmoWorld ("TOGO Death Machine...Intamin ride...Intamin ride...this place is cool!")
  16. I'm surprised that nobody's posted this I'm in the third row in the "third seat" (next to Elissa) Also Julie, Derek, Soren, Robb, Erik, and the rest of the gang I've also got on-rides from Kumba (somewhere on my PC, just need to find it), Hulk, and Nemesis and Oblivion (I need to scan them in sometime)
  17. Beat this! I have TWO donkeys, and they're both eating! These two were hiding behind the SLC at Wild Adventures
  18. Just a suggestion. This isn't on topic, but can you please check your spelling and grammar. It makes it easier for us to read. For a free spell checker, get the Google Toolbar As for Journey to Atlantis, I'm usually next door riding Kraken, mainly due to the long lines and frequent breakdowns (they may not be as bad now)
  19. Take a look at this topic http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=323
  20. The problem with wooden inversions is the rare event that the train would stall during the inversion, like when Sirocco (Turbine) got stuck in the loop. This would put a fair amount of upward (downward) force on the tracks themselves.
  21. I've heard that Giovanola also did some work on Eurostar (a portable coaster travelling Europe) The track and trains are similar to B&M, but the supports are different.
  22. ^ Does Elissa know about this? Nice pics BTW. Looking forward to hitting BPB in June
  23. Currently, it's called Scram! Completed: Deja Vu (and Deja Vu again, so that when one breaks down, there is a backup). I may add a "Spanish version" The Coathanger Banger - An Arrow inspired multilooper In the planning phase: Journey to the Center of Robb Soarin' over Soren (probably a sky-ride with some extra theming) Rides on the Moon I've been sick recently, so I haven't done much work on the park. Also, does anyone have good recreations of Balder, GeForce, Aska/Viper, Dog Fart Coaster, and/or Manhatten Express that I can use for this park. I will also be doing one or more escalator rides, but I'm not sure on the best way to implement it.
  24. Had this one sitting on my PC for a while
  25. Erik and myself tried to get that credit several weeks ago, but we were unsuccessful. They require you to "obtain" a kid, unless they were being lax with the rules.
