I think I had never really noticed how slow it moves through the first inversions (despite already having heard of the slower launch). -

In theory shouldn't I305 be as complex (and, therefore, as reliable) as Millennium force? They're both gigas with cable lift hills and MF actually operates with more trains and was build 10 years before, so I would expect I305 to be as/more reliable than MF. -

You Might Be A Coaster Nerd If....

Coming from someone who really likes cars, I also get the feeling their acceleration is nothing compared to intamin accelerator coasters.(for instance) I've been having driving lessons and sometimes, when going uphill I have to completely floor the gas pedal just to maintain the speed. Then as the uphill part gradually becomes flat or the cars gains some RPMs I can feel it starting to accelerate better but, as I have to respect the limits, I have to control myself (which is really hard and frustrating). I also have the constant desire to speed through the corners to get some lateral Gs. -
^Where did you sit on KK? I went there last summer with flash pass and waiting for the front alone (once in the station) was around 20 minutes.

^Now the question is if those pieces are for one of these coasters or even another one. That would be surprising.

^Isn't it around 570? Probably the next tallest one would go over 600. -

Hotgo Park in Fushun China
rcjp replied to Gutterflower's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I sorta mean the "old-style" ones. China gets a lot more, even if they are a bit less intense. They still look cool (Voyage and RFII are good coasters from what I've heard.) I get what you mean. Still, given that you already have a few of those there, I don't think I would mind getting these "new-school" ones now if I lived there. -

A 2 hour queue line to find out the ride is closing when you're about to board it. What's worse than that?

^Yeah, I honestly don't think that the heartlining thing would be much of an issue as some say. I think the opposite (going from a sitting coaster to a standup) would, but not really this. -
What are some loud rides and coasters?

^Interesting... I totally believe you as I've heard a few people saying it before but you can't really tell from the videos (at least the ones I've watched). -

Valleyfair (VF) Discussion Thread
rcjp replied to the_rock401's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Do you find Gatekeeper more thrilling than Raptor? I'm not Danderson, but even if GK is a bit forceless and has some weird restraints, it has a unique layout. Hopefully, whatever Valleyfair gets, it isn't a typical cookie-cutter repeat of B&M elements a la Raptor. Fair enough. But some people (like me) honestly don't care that the layout may be bit cookie-cutter if it is as intense and good as raptor (when compared to Gatekeeper). For example, dragon khan has a layout which is a bit like kumba (except for the extra loop and a few obvious differences) and it's still my favourite ride as it is intense, has a nice pacing and length. Not to say you're wrong, you definitely have a point, just to show that it may not be so simple.
