  2. Well did everyone realise that in the 14th the Hennessey Venom GT broke the record for speed (270,49mph)? I totally missed this and only realised now.
  3. I thought that LSMs, despite being rather reliable, tend to have a high power consumption, am I wrong?
  4. It's funny how this ride looks a lot longer to me than it really due to how it is spread out and how the track crosses over itself several times (not to mention the great interaction it will have with all these other rides ). This really has to turn out great!
  5. By the way, speaking of swarm, this is something I've been asking to myself since it opened: why the hell is it that it is considered a 5-inversions coaster when, in reality, the supposed "inclined loop" (which looks more like an inclined helix to me) barely (if at all) goes beyond 90 degrees? I know this might not be the question of the decade but it's something that makes me genuinely curious.
  6. What happened was that it rained quite a bit before the park opened but it stopped as soon as we got in (11 a.m.). At around 1 we moved to maverick's area and they said "The rain messed it up". I kept checking throughout the day and even though it never rained again it didn't open. The following day I also went there a couple of times and nothing, and during that day it only rained for around 1 hour in the afternoon as it was very little. That was a Tuesday and from what I know I'm sure it was running without problems on Thursday. Even TTD was open for almost the entire time. You can only imagine how pissed/sad I was I can understand and I've been to similar situations. *cough* NTaG, iRat, Shockwave, Tatsu *cough* I'm quite surprised Tastsu wasn't running. I've never seen a B&M closing for a second. And yeah, it sucks. P.S. It also happened to me with el toro last summer. So a potential no 1 steel coaster for me and a would be for sure no 1 wooden coaster both closed in the same week
  7. I've been on furius baco and GK. GK was not intense at all and it would rattle a bit closer to the back while FB (being a lot rougher) was, in my opinion, way better due to its intensity and pacing (which GK didn't really have either). Still, I do expect B&M to build something more forceful, one day.
  8. Well, it's not everyday you get to see one of those rides turning out to be good. Those loops actually looked like they provided some hangtime!

  11. It's probably just a precaution, if the two towers would have to be connected in the future Xcelerator style. When did this happen to accelerator? And why? I must have totally missed it as I never realised the difference until now.
  12. ^Yeah it will be interesting to see what gets built first. I have to say I'm a bit more exited about the mack as I'm assuming the layout will be a bit longer than this one but both look like fun concepts. These Chinese parks really are on fire!
  13. ^Usually the front is the smoothest but that might depend on the ride. Obviously the back travels at the exact same speed the front does but different parts of the train do go through the same place in the track at different speeds. Yes, decapitation has occurred (he was hit by an empty train), if you get hit by a rider's foot (which has also happened) you will probably be killed but not decapitated. I've never been hit by an animal (except for small mosquitoes) but I think a man was once hit by a goose on Apollo's Chariot but I'm not sure how badly injured he was. I don't know, it might not be that simple (you can't show how a small child will handle the forces using a dummy).
  14. ^Hummmm.. that's a nice one. Still, there is a chance that the vomit will fall a little slower than the train as air resistance might affect it more so in that case you could just miss it!
  15. ^I think that depends on your and their definition of lift. It might do it but just a little while I assume their definition was something more.
  16. I have to admit I've done something similar. And, take a guess! Also in Maths! (I actually have no problems with it but that day I had finished an exercise for hours and had nothing to do)
  17. So I suppose the Tampa one is in Africa, right?
  18. It just looks so odd, no wheel covers.... I've always loved the way B&M invert's covers look so it's kind of weird, I think.
  19. ^Haha, funny! I still think a RMC makeover would solve it. They seem to be able to do magic, so....
  20. Looking pretty impressive. If it turns out to support a sign too it will look great!
  21. This pretty much sums up my opinion.
  22. ^Well..... they're both...... green...?
  23. ^Oh that's nasty. The same happened to me with maverick, 2 full days and I was actually more exited about riding it than Top Thrill Dragster as I've been on Kingda Ka and they were not so different.
