  1. Looking really cool. Just one question: how comfortable are these mack restraints? (cause I've never been on blue fire or any other of their coasters, really)
  2. I also thought about that and it would be possible that the "pre-brakes" are there for that purpose: brake the car slightly so that they gently swing to the horizontal position before the actual brakes kick in. Still, it does sound like a fantasy and I kind of assumed that the seats will be attached to the car by their bottom like on acrophobia and not by their top like the drawing leads to believe.
  3. ^Ispeed's first inversion comes to mind in terms of completing the inversion itself during the shortest period of time.
  4. Looks really nice for and indoor coaster, exept for the airtimeless airtime hill. The pre launch part is cool to. It's a shame that I've never been on a premier.
  5. Beach Boys
  6. ^^That was pretty fast, although I think not quite as fast as Disneyland Paris's Indiana Jones which has the speediest most intense loop I've ever tried.
  7. A togo wooden stand up floorless with concrete restraints. What's worse than what I've just said?
  8. Satan
  9. ^Probably, the combination of negative and lateral Gs during the roll might just put enough pressure on them for them to snap.
  10. ^What annoys me the most is that I have been to Italy, TWICE and not that far from the park (maybe two hours). I just didn't have the "coaster knowledge" back then I have now.
  11. I've only been on tow drops: Hurakan Condor at Portvaventura and Demon drop at Dorney and while the second actually felt scarier (for some reason) I have to praise the sheer height of the first.
  12. I really have to go to Mirabilandia, the only park in the world with two rides on Mitch Hawker's steel poll!!
  13. ^But I actually got the feeling that, during the roll, most of my weight was on my legs and not shoulders, and I'm not exactly short.
  14. ^Well that's a first for inverts. Don't forget B&Ms usually seat four across unlike intamin, which is one of the things that make the capacity so great. The only intamin I've been on which seats four in the same row was skyrush and that has rather wide trains which will stop them from doing really snappy transitions. Don't get me wrong, Skyrush is very very twisty but if you actually compare its changes in direction to maverick's or I305's they are slower.
  15. Cedar Point
  16. ^Oh, that doesn't look so bad after all. I was afraid the tower would look like arrow's mess of supports but it's not that bad
  17. The only non accelerator launched coasters I've been on (apart from space mountain mission two which I still don't really know how it works and the launch is not so intense, but at an angle) were Possessed at dorney and wicked twister, the latter having a significantly more powerful launch than the former but still not quite like an intamin accelerator ride. So my question is, how many (if any) LSM or LIM launches out there feel as or more intense than hydraulic launched coasters?
  18. Attaching a roller coaster to Burj Khalifa in Dubai!
  19. ^Which restraint sapping incident? I hadn't hear anything. Anyway, I'll see for myself how the restraints are during the opening day .
  20. By the way, I've just realised that they added, last year, these evil looking contraptions to FB's restraints. Now, seriously, we know furius baco isn't exactly smooth so WHAT THE HELL WERE THEY THINKING when they decided to add these???? Its looks like something designed on purpose to make headbanging worse....
  21. What About Love? - Heart
  22. ^I was kind of talking about major coasters but yeah, Cedar Point is one.
  23. Great Adventure
  24. ^^Actually I thought it was ok. If you seat after the second or third car you will get a bit (well, quite a bit of headbanging but I remember having a pretty good ride on the second car, plus isn't it getting new trains with vekoma's vest style restraints? Also, the sound system really works, I haven't been on many rides with one but Bizarro's (SFGAdv) couldn't be heard at all and I think this one really adds to the experience.
  25. ^Honestly I don't see exactly how they could reduce headbanging just from being reclined, I assume it has to do with the shape of the restraints.
