  1. Just curious how hard some people hit the coasters on a given day or scretch of days.
  2. I am also not a fan of Magnum, the lap bars are too tight and the return trip over the bunny hills was horrible. That being said I will give it another chance when at the park in May.
  3. ^ I would have to add that Blue Streak, MaXair, and Skyhawks are must ride as well. Blue Streak gives a really good ride in the second to last seat, the last seat really beat us up last time we were there.
  4. There is nothing fun about waiting in a line for half an hour or an hour, I am at the park to get in as many coaster rides I possibly can. Living in Minnesota with the exception of VF it is a decent distance to another good park, when I make the trip to another park like I am doing in May to KImand CP I will of course be buying the FL plus at Cedar and if there is even a hint of a crowd at akai we will be buying it there as well. I do not and will not be buying a FL at VF because I know when to go to avoid any crowds. Normally when at VF and we see some people with FL bands on we have to chuckle because there really is no to,e you ever need to buy a FL at the park (with the exception of Haunt).
  5. You almost never see anyone riding Riptide, small footprint but still IMO a waste of space.
  6. All I'm saying is that Mean Streak is complete crap now, it is hard to imagine it turning into something I would actually want to ride again. True the last couple RMC reworks have been pretty damn spectacular so maybe Mean Streak could become something great. Good point about Colossus, it was really bad.
  7. ^ Hahahahahahahahahahahaha, so true.
  8. ^. There is literally nothing good about Mean Streak, what can you tell me RMC could use off of Mean Streak? Mean Streak as it is being converted by RMC would be a long a costly process. The ride is boring and layout is nothing special, a complete tear down and rebuild would actually put a good coaster in its location.
  9. Renegade is one of the best wooden coasters I have been on, very underappreciated in my opinion. Better than Prowler as well.
  10. Sorry but I just don't see CP throwing cash at a remake of Mean Streak, better to tear the thing down and have RMC come in to design and build a completely new coaster in the same location. I also don't think CP will be seeing a dive coaster anytime soon, maybe at on of the smaller CF parks but not CP. I think over the next two years CP will continue to remove old buildings and rework the park a bit.
  11. Do you need to be a member of TPR to join the team?
  12. Anyone have a link to Coasting for Kids, can't seem to find anything on the times and dates for this year. Thanks.
  13. Has anyone seen the prices for Fast Lane and Fast Lane plus yet? I am trying to put together a group of guys coming from Minnesota so just tryin to get some numbers to keep them informed, thanks.
  14. I very rarely ride Power Tower when at the park, very little thrill in that ride. Compared to the Drop Tower at Kings and there is no comparison. Kings is a fast drop that throws the breaks on at the end, much more exciting ride for me.
  15. I will be doing Cedar and Kings this year, looking forward to some great coasters.
  16. Thought I saw a thread about this topic before but honestly can't remember now. I will use a Fast Pass every time I go to a park I haven't visited and more than likely won't visit for a long time. A bunch of friends and I drive 11 hours to get to Cedar or Kings so there is no way we are standing in long lines all day after spending the time to drive all that way.
  17. Yes as I has said I hope it isn't an invert. The problem I see with inverts is that you have very few great places to ride on that coaster and that being the front seat. I enjoy riding coasters and seeing everything around not just the seat in front of me and the track above. Also with VF being a smaller park an invert that might get built will more than likely be small and not all that enjoyable, it certainly won't be Banshee or Raptor. I would much rather have something like a mega lite something similar. I know there are no mega lites in the U.S as of right now but a person can hope right.
  18. Big swing rides I have to hit at least a couples times while in the park. Extreme Swing at VF and the one at Cedar are fantastic.
  19. Certainly hope it is not an invert, nothing all that special about an invert.
  20. Honestly I don't see the huge thrill in an invert, unless you are the front row to me the rest of the rows have very little too look at. Give me something like Diamondback, that will please everyone. Sure it doesn't go upside down but certainly a very fun ride and very rerideable. For something that goes upside down I would gladly take a Maverick clone, but we all know that would never happen at VF.
  21. I will have a real hard time getting season passes next year if there is once again nothing added. I know that hitting KI and CP the last couple years has ruined me but damn the lack of anything (not Dino's) is getting old.
  22. I was there Friday, Gatekeeper was running all day. The only downtime that I saw (and rode it 10 times) was when a sensor went offline for a minute or two. The average wait time for those without Fast Lane Plus was about 45 minutes to an hour most of the day, those of us with Fast Lane Plus the wait time was generally around 10 minutes.
  23. ^ Ha I took his comment as asking about Fast Lane and not normal tickets But yes the normal gate price is cheaper online than at the gate.
  24. They are the same price online as at the park, the bonus to waiting is that you might be able to find a couple other people at the park that want Fast Lane and that way you could get the price down versus just buying 2 online.
