Does Shambhala have a seatbelt portion? I've never seen a B&M hyper with a seatbelt - only the clamshells. I'm just going on one of those facebook comments so probably not. Maybe they didn't mean seatbelt. -

I'm going next week, so I'll let you know what I think. It makes sense that it's the seatbelt portion rather than the actual seats. I would just bear in mind I read the same things about The Swarm when it opened, however it seemed to be the same as all B&Ms in the park. -

Where did you find these reports? I'd like to look at them myself. I had a quick google search and couldn't find anything. I do find B&Ms usually tighter on the thighs than most other manufacturers, but it does seem unlikely that a man weighing 15-16 stone would have trouble getting on B&M hyper. Even if he has unusually big thighs for a man. I can't see B&M making smaller seats than the ones found on their inverted, hyper and wing models. I find inverted the tightest fit tbh, but it really does depend on your dimensions. You're never going to get a definite answer until you go though. -

I think I would actually murder someone if El Toro is closed the day I finally get to Six Flags Great Adventure. Do Six Flags not announce closures in advance? -

How long was the wait today? I'm going during summer, so gearing up for some crazy wait times. -
I wasn't scared of Rush (the Screamin' Swing at Thorpe Park) BEFORE I went on it. But I started freaking out on that thing. The only other freak out I had was on my first non-TOT drop ride. Which was Supreme Scream at Knott's Berry Farm. I'm pretty certain I had a heart attack going up. I want to go on Hurakan Condor at Port Aventura, but just looking at a picture of the damn thing makes my feet tingle. It is supposed to be one of the best drop towers in the world, but I think I'm going to wuss out of it.

I found Hurler at KD pretty bad. And I had a huge headache after Revolution at SFMM.

WE LIVED OUR LIVES IN FEAR!" Strictly Ballroom "As God is my witness, as God is my witness they're not going to lick me. I'm going to live through this and when it's all over, I'll never be hungry again. No, nor any of my folk. If I have to lie, steal, cheat or kill. As God is my witness, I'll never be hungry again." Gone With The Wind George Bailey: "What is it you want, Mary? What do you want? You want the moon? Just say the word and I'll throw a lasso around it and pull it down. Hey. That's a pretty good idea. I'll give you the moon, Mary." Mary: "I'll take it. Then what?" George Bailey: "Well, then you can swallow it, and it'll all dissolve, see... and the moonbeams would shoot out of your fingers and your toes and the ends of your hair... am I talking too much?" It's A Wonderful Life

Best British coaster

Saw: The Ride. I was surprised by the amount of airtime on it. The Wild Mouse at Blackpool Pleasure Beach is thrilling and fun. I wasn't expecting that to have so much of a punch to it. I love the Pepsi Max Big One, but I can see why other people don't like. The layout isn't the best but it's other things about it that make me enjoy it more than I should. The colours, the markers of height as you go up the lift hill and the setting by the sea. Nemesis is brilliant and is probably going to be the name that comes up the most. It's "sequel" Nemesis: Inferno is a decent inverted too, but is generic in comparison. I've heard good things about Megaphobia, but haven't ridden that one yet. -

There's a single rider queue. Big update with more pictures of theming around the ride here... -

It's mainly a problem if you're bottom heavy. I usually only see women turned away from these rides. I've seen many men who look like they weigh at least 50lbs more than me get on them no problem, but I have to squeeze into those seats. I've never been to PortAventura but if the ride ops are in a hurry they may not give you that a extra push on the seat you need to get locked in. -

Agreed, it looked so much better without them. Love the colour of those trains though. Can't wait for a proper POV! Hopefully one gets posted tomorrow to coincide with the opening day. -

Last time I was at Alton Towers it seemed like a a convention of travellers had descended on the park. So that was fun. I think I prefer the teenagers. I agree with everything you say about the rides. -
I doubt I would've been able to do everything at SFMM in a day, so I love the them. I'd spent so much on the flights, it really did seem like a drop in the ocean in comparison! And there was no way I was braving a 2 hour queue for X2 in the Cali sun. Big thumbs up to Universal for bringing it in, is it in place/being tested at USH?

Tallest coaster you've been on.

Steel: Intimidator 305 (KD). Wood: Colossus (SFMM). I really need to up my wood coaster count. -
Best Drops....
rubysparkles replied to BiCoastal Kid's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Intimidator 305's first drop is my favourite. Goliath at SFMM is very memorable, I loved the tunnel and the view of Colossus making it look tiny in comparison. -
Hi there, I'm Caroline from South London. Pretty much live right inbetween Chessington World of Adventures (but haven't been there in about 10 years) and Thorpe Park. I'm up to 94 coasters and hoping to hit 100 by summer (definitely going to Port Aventura but hoping to hit some of the smaller UK parks too before then). I'm hoping to move to China in late summer to teach English for 6 months.

I am so excited to be going there in July now. Especially with Dragon Khan looking so good for it's age. Just got to figure out a way to stand the queues in that July heat...
