  1. I'm drinking some San Miguel right now.
  2. I watch a lot of TV shows but the only shows I count down the day until are Community and Doctor Who. I'm really getting into Once Upon A Time now they have Captain Hook...
  3. My thoughts exactly. I didn't even know about the Monsters Inc ride! Just another thing to be excited about.
  4. 2011 - I did DLRP with a friend, went on my first solo trip to Washington DC then travelled down to KD and BGW, did a trip with the family to visit Blackpool Pleasure Beach and still found time to go to WDW by myself for 10 days with a day at IOA/USO.
  5. Yeah it was always going to happen! There's always something closed. I'm just excited to walk around DisneySea and I'm glad it's a ride that I have been on in all the other Disney parks. When I get there I will have been to every Disney park in the world, so I've got nothing to complain about.
  6. Jeez, how have I not seen this before?
  7. It seems like there will be no Space Mountain on the Japan trip. June 18, 2013 - July 12, 2013 Space Mountain
  8. Part of me is wondering if I made the right choice in signing up for Japan over Texas/Midwest... But then I remember there's a coaster in the shape of a dinosaur and I get excited again. Although it seems like yet another year will go by and I will not have been to Cedar Point. edit: And then I remember the Back to the Future ride...
  9. They even changed the overhead displays for Halloween.
  10. I would say it goes like this: 1. Intimidator 305 (KD) 2. Manta (Seaworld Orlando) 3. Nemesis (Alton Towers) 4. X2 (SFMM) 5. Sheikra (BGT) 6. Shambhala (Port Aventura) 7. Goliath (SFMM) 8. The Incredible Hulk (IOA) 9. Dragon Khan (Port Aventura) 10. Hair Raiser (Ocean Park) Honorable mentions to: Volcano, Colossus (SFMM), Furius Baco and Xcelerator.
  11. Just wondering, how long until the trip boards open?
  12. I voted! Good luck, I've seen them twice and I thought they were phenomenal.
  13. I think I've got my heart set on the Japan one. Already started budgeting and e-mailed my current job to double check the end of my contract. The timing on the Japan one and itinerary, it's almost like that trip was tailor made for me. Can't wait to see where it begins and ends so I can start thinking about flights!!!
  14. If they're going to Japan, do you think they are filming elsewhere in Asia? Maybe they'll come to Hong Kong.
  15. Some pictures I took of the Mystic Point construction last week. Looks really great to me. Cannot wait for January/February to see it finished.
  16. Downloaded the "Choose Your Darkside" app. It seems to be pretty good so far. Can't wait to see how they turn Jungle Cruise into "Cursed Jungle" and to go on the "Ghost Galaxy" version of Space Mountain. I've been to Disney World and DLRP when Halloween has been on before and not thought much of it, but I'm excited about the Hong Kong Disneyland version.
  17. Oh hell yes, to the Japan one. If I can save up the money I'd love to do that Texas one too.
  18. They didn't bring back the strawberry drink from Poland? Madness. Best thing there last year. Some of those new additions to Japan sound really good.
  19. Hong Kong Disneyland and Ocean Park! Can't wait.
  20. Air was my first flying coaster too, I loved it when I first went on it. After going on Manta (and Tatsu) though I was blown away. Same with going on Oblivion first, then getting to go on Sheikra/Griffon.
  21. I didn't feel a B&M rattle on Shambhala at all, but I went 4 days and only rode once a day, not repeatedly. Just wanted to talk about the seats as some people were curious earlier in the thread. I found the seats VERY tight. If you are bigger around the hips and thighs, proceed with caution. You have to have two clicks to be allowed to ride. I had to have my restraints pushed down by ride ops, and from what I saw every train there was one person who needed an extra push (usually women ). I felt that they were tighter than the last B&M Hyper I rode (Apollo's Chariot 12 months ago) and I was bigger then. Like all restraints it really depends on your measurements but these seemed tighter on the hips/thighs than other B&Ms I have ridden in the last year. Great airtime on the coaster, though was disappointed in the lack of forces on the turnaround element. That part looks impressive but I was hoping for something more substantial. It's a very good coaster, it is only the second B&M Hyper I have been on. I preferred it to Apollo's Chariot though. I found I got more airtime and I enjoyed the first drop into the tunnel. Dragon Khan is holding up much better than Kumba. Still feels great even though it's 17 years old, was really impressed with it. Got a front row seat for Furius Baco, so didn't find it that rough. Still don't have the foggiest what monkeys have to do with wine and then why we were launched out into the grapevines, but it was a lot of fun. Here's a couple of photos, I tried to get good photos of Dragon Khan and Shambhala going up the lift hill at the same time. Got a few of them going around at the same time. Meh, I'm no photographer though, shame the last one is so blurry.
  22. 16-17 stone isn't 160-170lbs, it's more than that. I didn't know there was a "normal weight", do you mean normal BMI, because then 50% or more would be turned away in most Western countries. We're talking about dimensions here rather than weight anyway. The problem appears to be the difference between the inches you can be on your top half compared to the inches they allow you to have on your bottom half on B&Ms. And it's the same with their OTSR (Inverts, Dive Machines, etc. luckily a lot of them have "Big Boy Seats"). Their seats are brutal on anyone who is pear shaped. As someone who has lost weight recently because I didn't like how tight some restraints were getting, I still know any B&M will be a squeeze because of where I carry my weight. Part of that is just bad luck on my part, but Shambhala seems to have a huge amount of people turned away. It's especially weird to people who are fine on every other type of coaster. They can't adjust everything though, I'm sure people with larger chests have problems on other manufacturers seats. Maybe these reports are OTT, it could have just been a few unlucky trains of people with unusually large measurements in that area.
