I am ashamed to say that my last coaster was Thunderhawk at Dorney, back in August. That will all change when I go to Florida soon!

If the wood they used on Son of Beast was as cheap as I think it was, Rocky Mountain probably wouldn't have been able to use the existing structure at all. They'd essentially have to build a new attraction (not that that's a bad thing), but they could possibly have used the concrete footers. Even if they could do something, I think a steel coaster would be a better idea overall.
