Random PTR: Jahan's Super-Sweet Room Remodeling!
ebl replied to arrowfanman's topic in Random, Random, Random
Scambler? Was that a typo or an intentional "mistake?" Anyway, I enjoyed your report and I like the color of your room. A friend of mine had sort of a Deja Vu color scheme in his room back in the '70s. The walls were Deja's track color, and the trim was like your blue. That was...different. Eric -
I'm glad you had a great birthday, Soren! How I miss 'Ohana It's been said before, but worth saying again: it was nice meeting both you and Alessandra in October. Eric

That's great to hear. I was just at WDW in October. Be sure to go to Epcot and see the new Finding Nemo Ride in the Living Seas. Sounds like you and your uncle will have a great time, and I hope you do. Be sure to post a trip report when you get back. Eric -

I'll be picking Diana up from school in 45 minutes, so I'm eating some buttered popcorn to get ready. When I get back, I'll watch the Tatsu show on the Discovery Channel since I haven't seen it yet. And that earns me the right to work two casino jobs this weekend and make about $200. I need it. Eric

The Discovery Channel -- Building Tatsu

^^^ That's normal policy for almost any ride. Whenever new ones open, they always say "Three minutes..." In my experience, when I time a ride, they've been mostly in the "just about a minute" category from the top of the lift to the final stop. But when timing from pulling out to pulling back in, I usually get times of about 2:00 to 2:45. Of course, that includes everything. Eric -

NL&F was one of the partners (Sea World was the other one) in building Magic Mountain in the first place. When it was sold to Six Flags in 1979, I've heard two things: 1. NL&F leased the land to Six Flags. 2. NL&F sold the land to Six Flags. I don't know which is correct, so I don't know exactly what will happen when the park is sold to whoever buys it. Eric

Even though it's rather cool outside, I'm drinking a Banana Diet Coke. Yeah, that sounds weird, but it's actually very tasty. I picked up some banana extract (the kind you bake with) and put a few drops into the cup and mixed it well. Try it sometime! Eric

I'm eating cashews and peanuts while surfing the Web. Then I'll probably have dinner. Eric

Even though I normally don't, this year I did. Do you put candles on your birthday cake?

This reminds me a little of going into an Asian grocery store and seeing bags of chips, candy, snacks, etc. with all the giant writing in Asianese all over them. Hope you enjoyed your treats, Ryan. Sometimes the imported stuff is better than what we have here in the U.S. Eric

There's an ostrich farm just out of Solvang (a Danish town about 40 miles north of Santa Barbara). I wonder how many of them know that today they're birds, tomorrow they're burgers? Despite your hatred of ASU, good luck there anyway. Eric
