I'm a die-hard Diet Coke drinker, but occasionally, a Diet Pepsi hits the spot. Interestingly, Knott's was a Pepsi park till about the mid-'90s, then they switched to Coke. And they remained a Coke park till just a couple of years ago, even under Cedar Fail. But that was most likely because they had to fulfill a contract with Coke. Eric

I went to the show yesterday and saw all of this stuff. However, I didn't bring my camera, so no Photo TR from me! Eric

Closing Down A Theme Park

It's funny how much we've picked on Six Flags over the years. Maybe the real villian in ruining parks is Cedar Fair! Or Cedar Fail as I call them. Eric -
Theme parks in Google Earth

Keep in mind that you can look up people's addresses, too. I pulled up a picture of my mom's house (and my own) that were a bit close for comfort. But it is fun looking up parks, former places of employment, etc. Eric -

Hotels usually don't have a floor numbered 13, so a 16-story hotel would have a 17th floor. Apparently, they didn't adjust that in the elevator... Hope you're having (or had) a nice time. Eric -
I would go ride WDW's Space Mountain except for one thing: THIS AIN'T FLORIDA!!! Eric

No, I've only been in one wedding---mine! Do you wash and change your own sheets?

What company makes/made the best Stand-up coasters?

^ First, it's pretty short. Second, being a first generation B&M, it's not holding its smoothness, not at all unlike Iron Wolf at SFGAm---from what I've heard, at least. Eric -
"I think you're going to have to start changing up your feet photos." (SharkTums) Elissa, you wouldn't want to see my feet. Robb's look quite nice by comparison. Eric

^^ I hear you about trying to play down Christmas. What's gone wrong in our society that we have to worry about offending someone with every word we speak? Over the years, I've wished someone "Merry Christmas" only to be told, "I'm Jewish." Then I apologize and wish them a Happy Hanukkah instead. And no one's ever given me any grief over that. Miracle Trees at Home Depot = FAIL!!! I'll ask them for a Christmas tree if I go in there and need one. But my rant du jour is the girls here at home who, after many years, still don't understand the concept of washing dishes. Dirty dishes in the sink for three days? Come on... Eric

^ It depends on what kind of sweetener it was. SweetNLow (in the pink pack) is bitter; Equal (in the blue pack) isn't too bad, and Splenda (in the yellow pack) is the closest to sugar and is what I usually use. Sometimes in restaurants, even if they use pink or blue, you can ask for yellow (the Splenda) and they'll have it. They don't put it out because it's expensive, but they keep yellow on hand because some people can't use the other kinds. [/end artificial sweetener lecture] Eric

"why do I keep posting after you?!?" (Coasterlvr_nc) I don't know, but STOP IT!!! Just kidding, BTW... Anyway, this is a three-day work week, with a four-day weekend chaser, so that's a good thing. Maybe I'll take in the L.A. Auto Show this Friday while the girls go shopping... Eric

"Wouldn't that just about kill you Eric?" (socalMAN123) Yeah, good thinking. I'll just change mine to Splenda. After all, it's made from sugar so it tastes like sugar. Eric

I've only ridden three standups: Shock Wave at SFMM (Intamin), Vortex at (P)CGA (first generation B&M), and Riddler's Revenge (second generation B&M). Riddler's Revenge is by far my favorite of the three. Obviously, I couldn't tell you about the TOGO ones, but I've heard nothing negative about them. Other TOGOs, however, well...different story... Used to be, but went through a 12-step program... Are you eating a traditional turkey dinner next week?

Over the years when I was up near and over 200, I walked five miles about three or four times a week. I often wonder where my weight would have been had I not. My doctor told me that my walking probably delayed the onset of diabetes (I was diagnosed at age 42). Walking may not burn as many calories as other forms of exercise, but it's easy to do, requires nothing more than some time and good walking shoes, and the self discipline to do it. As for you, Robb, you're doing well. Keep it up---and keep it off! Eric

Funny how no one said anything about the tunnels on the Matterhorn at Disneyland. They've been enlarged a bit over the years, but I remember when there was a lot of head ducking on that ride. Eric

No, I don't jump on dogs. Seriously, I'm sure you meant bungee jump, which, no I haven't done either and never plan to. Do you know the words to the national anthem?
