  1. How unfeasible would a vertical cable lift-hill be? Imagine going straight up at like 15 miles an hour. Sure would scare the hell out of people.
  2. I don't have a screenshot handy, but there is a still from the promotional video that more or less shows the whole ride. You can see the brake run, and it's in roughly the same position as the old one. If that's the case, the angle coming out of the tunnel is too sharp for the ride to just shoot out into the brake run. So I'm thinking the post-tunnel will include some sort of turnaround, however brief it is. Then again, Six Flags is okay with having a 160-foot drop go straight into the brake run, so who knows.
  3. Skyrush isn't tenured yet. It's like college. Or high school, more like.
  4. I get to practice my smugface now that El Toro is #1 in two different coaster polls this year, both the real one (Mitch) and the fake one (this). Also, how the hell have I never been on the Phoenix? I'll rectify that shortly. Why is it that the wooden coaster poll is so much more accurate or fair than the steel coaster poll, or pretty much all the other polls?
  5. Then what's actually happening? If only it were that easy to find out.
  6. I think that would be a great idea. I've never been on either and I would have like to experience it the original way. Maybe there are some people who feel the same way.
  7. Does it make the coaster go? Yes? Good enough for me.
  8. Is there a reason that the camera kept randomly zooming out? Surely somebody can do better than that.
  9. That's the most beautiful and most deeply moving photo ever! You should get out more often then.
  10. I can't wait for this to happen. It's going to be awesome.
  11. Last year at Fright Fest I managed to get incredibly light crowds. Got on every major ride except for KK, which was broken down. Plus two rides on Nitro and SEVEN rides on El Toro, all within six hours. But that was a fluke I think; it was raining on and off all day, then stopped as soon as I reached the park. It's a crapshoot I guess. Bring your lucky rabbit's foot.
  12. Even though I'm 6' 1", I didn't have a problem with the Sky Rocket trains at all. Granted, I looked up beforehand which seats to avoid if you're tall. But then shouldn't that advice be the same for all new Premier trains in this style?
  13. ^There's only one barrel roll. The rest are either hills or overbanks.
  14. TTD? I can't really think of any other ones. Well, any others that can't be written of as "they're not at SFMM so they're not surrounded by a giant crippling inferiority complex."
  15. Please please please theme it after Adam West.
  16. Maaaan, I really hope it does have something after the tunnel. If not, it'll be really short but action-packed like Outlaw Run. Hopefully it'll be longer than that.
  17. Interesting that RCDB claims that Full Throttle has a Dive Drop like the Wingriders. Also I kinda like the paint scheme. At least until it starts fading. Also also it's a damn shame, all that wasted speed after the "top hat". But I... guess Magic Mountain knows what it's doing?
  18. Maybe it's so defiant because you're not a huge fan.
  19. I love how the drop goes all the way down to the quarry bottom again.
  20. I like how now every single wooden coaster "should get the RMC treatment." Would Cyclone be big enough to make it worthwhile?
  21. Perhaps this has been said already (my eyes sort of glazed over after a dozen pages of comments), but it would have been more thrilling if instead of stopping the train in the tunnel, what if you went through the tunnel un-Lim-ed, rolled back on the top hat, rolled forward through the snake dive, and then launched up through the top hat? People get really freaked out about rollbacks, so it'd be fun. As intriguing as that would be, I also realize that it wouldn't be done: SFMM really wanted that 'most launches' thing, and it probably would take out a block in the ride, among other problems I'm not thinking of. But it could be a neat idea.
