"you're 64? YOU'RE OLDER THAN BLUE STREAK!!!!" ^ actual dialogue shouted at a Bill (by a *very* drunk gentleman) out by the firepits at Breakers, when we were there for Coastermania! in June 2017. he had been drinking himself, and was trying to cheer up the guy who had gotten upset over some relationship drama, and the whole "buddy" discussion took place in front of a bunch of us at the fires.. . and yes, we all absolutely burst out laughing at the above. (even Bill though it was funny, tho I'm not sure he remembers it) -
or, like Six Flags, they up the price to get people to purchase the Season Parking pass. that really seems to be why it's now $25 per time to park at the Texas Six Flags, they bet that folks will do the math, and realize it's way cheaper to buy a season pass (or membership), and simply pay the extra $$ to upgrade to "Gold" which gets you free parking at all Six Flags parks. if you get it during a sale -- we got Season Passes with free upgrade to Gold during Cyber Monday sale, for less than $65 each, and went twice in 2017, before end of year). So the passes have already paid for themselves, and now get free parking rest of 2018 at any park. I have to believe that's why they are charging so much. not exactly the same thing as what Knott's is doing.. you clarified that really well in your post. but yeah, gives an idea also why so many charge for parking. . . even Downtown Austin charges to park (weekends too), and it does NOT stop folks from going out.

Yeah, the Dole Whip is really refreshing on a hot day so I always enjoy them. Honestly don't think I've ever heard anyone "over-hype" it, they line for them does get long so maybe that has something to do with it but $5 for a decently sized cup of soft serve at a Disney park I don't see how anyone could be that disappointed. it has a built in audience anyways. . assuming that cart selling them is still in front of the Tiki Room waiting area. that's always where we've slurped on our Dole Whips (buy it there and drink it while waiting for the next show) -

I slowly stroll over to Cedar Downs, and ride that a few dozen times! (but I have a feeling I *may* check out Steel Vengeance next time i'm in the park ) but Cedar Downs for the win! -
Based on the survey that Six Flags sent me yesterday (focusing a lot on Superheroes/Supervillains. .tho strangely they ask about both DC and Marvel characters?? (um. . Disney owns Marvel..but ok). . . I get the impression something is coming regarding Suicide Squad just based on some of the questions. . . ) . . . . . but anyways, tucked away at the end of the survey are a handful of questions regarding a new "sea-themed / pirates" potential shooting ride. so yeah. . .this is likely what is gonna show up in the Scooby Doo building. just a guess tho. ok, my certainty just shot up. . since they forgot to change something in the survey: (LOL) "Hop into your very own Ship and take a tour of the Open Sea on this exciting adventure through a this exciting new world. You’ll have your own working laser gun to shoot at whatever Pirates pop up. Compete with your van-mates for points—whoever hits the most targets wins!" so I guess the mystery machine vehicles are gonna get painted to look like ships?

I'm sure you checked, but it's still on the rides list on SFoT site. (they actually list both Harley Quinn Spinsanity. the new one (noted as not yet open), as well as the Huss Troika version). I'd suspect that they will simply rename/retheme that one (hoping for something scarecrow related, but more likely something like "Robin's tumbler" or something) rather than simply remove it, since they have the ride pad for it already there)

I just dragged everything above the grey line, and then once had the # option, did it that way. i need to go back and finish my ranking, but it was working for me on the handful I tried doing that way. -

California Trip Planning Help!!
bert425 replied to DoinItForTheFame's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
check the dates in Vegas for shows before you plan your first night. many of the Cirque shows are dark on Mondays, and a bunch of stuff is dark on Tues. just be forewarned, if there's something you specifically want to see (can't really go wrong with Cirque's "O", "Love", "Mystere' " or the non Cirque, but similar and adult/hysterically filthy "Absinthe"). -
if you're going to be near LA, and you've never been to California before? I'd *absolutely* make a stop at the La Brea Tar Pits for a few hours. https://tarpits.org/ yeah, it's bascially a museum, but for those of us that love this kind of "culture" stuff, it's absolutely fascinating and worth a few hours of your time.

The Official "TPR Coaster Poll" Thread!

^ and literally 5 minutes after I posted this, i'm now able to pull coasters above the grey line, and then rank. (if someone could advise how to copy a picture of my screen here, I'd do so as an example). now, I still can't "drag up" to get the list to scroll. . so I need to move the coasters up section by section. . but once I have them in the "top 20 area" or so of my screen, THEN can drag over the grey line that will let me rank.' --> so I guess the workaround is just to pull all over the grey line, THEN once I have them all there, simply adjust the ranking using the number option. -

I don't have any of that on Mac Safari or a pc on Chrome and Firefox. I do have the up arrow and that is it. Sarafi and Firefox allow me to move the coasters, but do not change to the up/down arrow. Also no number on the right. Chrome allows me to drag the name but will not place it in a new position. Could some of these issues be because of personal computer settings/cookies? Not very tech savvy so I'm not sure if that makes sense. Same, I don't see any of these changes, on my PC using Firefox. i can drag/drop, but no numbering options at all. and I'm still not able to pull UP a coaster from the list (it won't scroll even when I go over the grey line). . scrolling DOWN works just fine, but not scrolling up. (hope this feedback helps!) -

Oh no! We'll never be able to figure out what the best coaster in the world is if we can't add the second worst coaster in f*cking Nevada. actual footage from inside the loading station at NewYork NewYork "roller coaster" [youtu_be] [/youtu_be] -
really glad you got to ride Chaos! I loved the one they had at SFFT, and hated when that went away (same thing with their Enterprise, which they had gotten from SFoT where it used to be called Spinnaker). hopefully when we next get back to Vegas, I'll get a spin on a still operating Chaos! (we have to go back, so I can ride El Loco, they were building it last time we were there). . . and it's a guarantee we'll be back at Circus Circus! as the steakhouse there is one of my top 3 place to eat in Vegas (the other two being Peppermill, and the WickedFork at Cosmopolitan). seriously, the steakhouse at CircusCircus rocks, and you'd never expect a place that high quality, with that high quality food buried off the most tacky area of the casino (across from the main tower elevators). If you ever go back, give it a shot. https://www.circuscircus.com/en/restaurants/the-steak-house.html

ditto with the "save" not saving the order.. also in Firefox here. another glitch I'm seeing, when drag/drop the rankings? I can "scroll down" while dragging, but cannot "scroll up".. I'm having to move the lower coasters half-way up the screen, then move the screen up and move the coaster up again. not an issue with moving a coaster from the top to lower in the list, i just hold the dragged coaster at the bottom of the list, and it auto-scrolls down. -

I would actually rather not list kiddie coasters as to not encourage enthusiasts behavior to go ride them. Seriously, what is even the point of listing such coasters at Cedar Point on a ballot other than giving self-entitled bragging rights that anyone outside of the coaster geekdom world would care about? This isn't a "coaster credits" list, it's a poll to determine the best coasters in the world, which two kiddies at Cedar Point are not going to be part of. absolutely a fair point. although the Junior coasters, such as the Woodstock Express at KD was actually among our favorite at that park (way better than Grizzly and Hurler, and we even liked it better than Rebel Yell for a woodie).. so I picked a bad example using CP's two Kiddies but for me, I would rank KD's Woodstock in my list, if it were an option. as noted tho, you absolutely have a fair point to not include the kiddie coasters. -

Click on most of the park names, to get to the park's page. It'll list all of the coasters included from that park. thanks. as I noted in my edit, I think alphabetizing the parks in the Coasters list would be a great tweak (if not wanting to add a "parks" button). but hell, for a Beta? this is amazing.
